they_o for_o in_o opposition_n to_o all_o their_o work_n he_o lead_v they_o to_o this_o one_o work_n that_o they_o believe_v and_o his_o call_n it_o a_o work_n do_v not_o import_v that_o faith_n as_o a_o work_n do_v justify_v for_o it_o be_v only_o the_o hand_n to_o receive_v christ_n who_o be_v our_o righteousness_n but_o he_o give_v it_o this_o name_n speak_v in_o their_o own_o term_n who_o way_n of_o deal_n with_o they_o be_v constant_o to_o hold_v out_o unto_o they_o their_o need_n of_o christ_n and_o that_o singular_a excellency_n that_o be_v in_o he_o therefore_o christ_n stand_v not_o to_o debate_v with_o they_o about_o sign_n but_o go_v on_o to_o point_v the_o excellency_n of_o this_o food_n and_o how_o needful_a it_o be_v for_o they_o if_o they_o look_v for_o life_n 2._o unbelief_n be_v a_o disease_n ill_a to_o be_v cure_v and_o it_o be_v no_o easy_a matter_n to_o draw_v man_n from_o dote_v on_o the_o external_a privilege_n they_o have_v enjoy_v that_o they_o may_v learn_v to_o prize_n and_o esteem_v of_o what_o be_v spiritual_a and_o more_o excellent_a therefore_o christ_n in_o press_v this_o doctrine_n must_v use_v double_v asseveration_n very_o very_o because_o they_o will_v account_v but_o little_a of_o his_o bare_a word_n in_o this_o matter_n 3._o there_o be_v no_o outward_a privilege_n enjoy_v of_o old_a and_o which_o the_o church_n want_v under_o the_o gospel_n but_o it_o be_v all_o make_v up_o in_o christ_n with_o advantage_n for_o here_o better_a bread_n be_v daily_o offer_v then_o that_o of_o manna_n be_v 4._o christ_n be_v the_o truth_n and_o substance_n of_o all_o the_o type_n in_o the_o old_a testament_n and_o particular_o the_o type_n of_o manna_n be_v fulfil_v in_o he_o in_o his_o incarnation_n and_o come_n in_o the_o world_n in_o his_o original_a he_o come_v from_o a_o better_a heaven_n than_o that_o whence_o manna_n come_v he_o be_v but_o little_a small_a and_o despise_v in_o the_o eye_n of_o man_n and_o yet_o be_v white_a and_o spotless_a as_o manna_n be_v and_o of_o a_o sweet_a taste_n to_o right_a discerner_n and_o feed_v and_o entertain_v a_o better_a life_n than_o manna_n do_v he_o be_v alsufficient_a to_o feed_v all_o his_o people_n as_o manna_n furnish_v all_o israel_n and_o be_v lay_v free_o forth_o to_o be_v gather_v and_o receive_v by_o all_o of_o they_o as_o manna_n fall_v daily_o round_o about_o the_o camp_n and_o the_o weak_a believer_n shall_v not_o come_v behind_o with_o the_o strong_a in_o share_v in_o he_o according_a as_o the_o manna_n be_v equal_o divide_v therefore_o be_v he_o call_v the_o true_a bread_n from_o heaven_n with_o relation_n to_o manna_n as_o the_o type_n 5._o the_o holy_a of_o minister_n do_v not_o confer_v the_o thing_n signify_v in_o a_o sacrament_n nor_o only_o propound_v it_o as_o a_o instance_n to_o invite_v christ_n to_o give_v the_o like_a carnal_a satisfaction_n to_o their_o belly_n 6._o such_o as_o stand_v in_o need_n of_o true_a spiritual_a other_o take_v he_o up_o carnal_o and_o stumble_v and_o so_o they_o fall_v to_o strive_v whence_o learn_v 1._o carnal_a man_n and_o misbeliever_n will_v grow_v still_o the_o long_o the_o worse_o when_o pain_n be_v take_v upon_o they_o and_o they_o do_v not_o profit_v for_o after_o misbelieve_v and_o murmur_v they_o fall_v a_o brawl_n and_o contend_v they_o strive_v or_o fight_v all_o or_o most_o part_n of_o they_o be_v in_o a_o rage_n at_o what_o he_o have_v say_v 2._o division_n and_o strife_n and_o tumult_n may_v follow_v upon_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o best_a preacher_n and_o yet_o the_o doctrine_n be_v not_o to_o blame_v but_o only_a man_n corruption_n for_o upon_o christ_n preach_v the_o jew_n strive_v among_o themselves_o 3._o carnal_a misbeliever_n do_v put_v a_o carnal_a sense_n upon_o christ_n spiritual_a word_n and_o so_o do_v occasion_n their_o own_o stumble_n for_o this_o they_o stumble_v at_o how_o can_v this_o man_n give_v we_o his_o flesh_n to_o eat_v they_o understand_v it_o of_o bodily_a eat_n and_o this_o they_o can_v endure_v because_o it_o be_v inhuman_a to_o eat_v man_n flesh_n and_o his_o own_o body_n can_v not_o be_v food_n that_o way_n to_o all_o the_o world_n far_o less_o can_v it_o give_v life_n but_o christ_n mean_v no_o such_o thing_n they_o stumble_v on_o their_o own_o mistake_n and_o they_o who_o assert_v such_o a_o bodily_a eat_n of_o christ_n flesh_n and_o yet_o do_v not_o stumble_v at_o it_o be_v more_o brutish_a than_o these_o capernaite_n 4._o the_o right_a way_n to_o be_v satisfy_v about_o any_o point_n of_o truth_n or_o doctrine_n be_v to_o come_v to_o christ_n himself_o in_o his_o own_o appoint_a mean_n and_o they_o who_o neglect_v this_o be_v just_o leave_v to_o stumble_v in_o darkness_n for_o herein_o they_o sacrament_n for_o 1._o the_o sacramental_a eat_n be_v not_o yet_o institute_v and_o appoint_v and_o therefore_o can_v not_o be_v here_o inculcate_v 2._o this_o eat_v be_v so_o necessary_a to_o salvation_n and_o life_n as_o none_o can_v have_v life_n without_o it_o and_o all_o live_v who_o get_v it_o verse_n 54._o but_o neither_o of_o these_o can_v be_v say_v of_o sacramental_a eat_n for_o disposition_n and_o desire_n for_o while_o they_o insist_v only_o on_o this_o miracle_n in_o moses_n time_n neglect_v other_o great_a work_n do_v by_o his_o ministry_n they_o declare_v that_o that_o be_v these_o here_o they_o will_v not_o refuse_v to_o believe_v on_o he_o but_o upon_o some_o show_n of_o reason_n and_o scripture_n and_o if_o they_o leave_v he_o they_o will_v so_o carry_v it_o as_o if_o he_o shall_v bear_v the_o blame_n and_o not_o they_o as_o be_v in_o their_o account_n inferior_a to_o moses_n 5._o it_o be_v a_o great_a sin_n of_o man_n and_o a_o great_a injury_n dâ—ne_v to_o
