of_o the_o soul_n from_o the_o body_n the_o mean_n to_o preserve_v the_o life_n of_o the_o body_n that_o be_v to_o continue_v the_o body_n and_o soul_n together_o be_v food_n and_o sustenance_n meat_n think_v it_o so_o simple_a a_o matter_n to_o eat_v christ_n by_o faith_n christ_n witness_v that_o 54._o by_o eat_v he_o by_o faith_n and_o belief_n we_o have_v salvation_n and_o eternal_a life_n and_o that_o he_o will_v raise_v we_o at_o the_o last_o day_n wherefore_o i_o will_v know_v of_o they_o what_o other_o eat_n there_o be_v beside_o this_o whereby_o we_o may_v assure_v ourselves_o of_o salvation_n true_o the_o scripture_n mention_v none_o and_o that_o carnal_a eat_n for_o which_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n strive_v be_v such_o as_o they_o themselves_o confess_v that_o judas_n and_o all_o wicked_a person_n may_v use_v and_o be_v damn_v now_o i_o appeal_v to_o the_o conscience_n of_o they_o that_o fear_v god_n and_o will_v not_o willing_o run_v into_o error_n whether_o we_o or_o they_o deal_v with_o the_o people_n of_o god_n more_o sincere_o they_o without_o any_o evident_a proof_n of_o the_o scripture_n contend_v as_o i_o have_v say_v for_o that_o real_a and_o bodily_a eat_n with_o which_o damnation_n may_v be_v join_v we_o endeavour_n to_o persuade_v man_n that_o manner_n of_o spiritual_a eat_n by_o faith_n through_o which_o by_o the_o testimony_n of_o the_o whole_a scripture_n we_o shall_v be_v assure_v of_o eternal_a life_n and_o with_o which_o damnation_n can_v not_o be_v join_v some_o perchance_o will_v say_v unto_o of_o i_o or_o will_v think_v with_o themselves_o in_o their_o mind_n if_o this_o doctrine_n be_v true_a then_o be_v sacrament_n needless_a for_o we_o may_v eat_v christ_n by_o faith_n spiritual_o in_o such_o sort_n as_o you_o have_v say_v without_o any_o use_n of_o the_o lord_n supper_n and_o therefore_o it_o may_v seem_v superfluous_a god_n forbydde_v that_o the_o most_o perfect_a christian_n and_o of_o strong_a faith_n shall_v once_o think_v sacrament_n to_o be_v superfluous_a and_o needless_a they_o be_v the_o bless_a and_o holy_a ordinance_n of_o christ_n by_o his_o mercy_n and_o goodness_n appoint_v for_o our_o great_a help_n and_o benefit_n as_o i_o have_v in_o the_o former_a sermon_n declare_v and_o yet_o i_o must_v confess_v to_o the_o great_a comfort_n of_o many_o godly_a person_n that_o the_o faithful_a christian_a may_v and_o do_v often_o feed_v upon_o christ_n to_o salvation_n beside_o the_o use_n of_o the_o sacrament_n for_o the_o spiritual_a grace_n and_o benefit_n which_o as_o i_o have_v say_v before_o be_v the_o principal_a part_n of_o a_o sacrament_n be_v not_o of_o necessity_n always_o so_o tie_v to_o the_o outward_a sign_n that_o without_o they_o god_n can_v not_o or_o do_v not_o sometime_o bestow_v the_o same_o i_o doubt_n not_o but_o the_o thief_n upon_o the_o 4â—_n cross_n without_o use_n of_o the_o sacrament_n do_v eat_v the_o body_n and_o blood_n of_o christ_n in_o such_o spirit_n of_o god_n before_o the_o receive_n of_o the_o outward_a sacrament_n in_o such_o sort_n that_o if_o he_o have_v then_o immediate_o depart_v out_o of_o this_o life_n he_o shall_v have_v go_v to_o heaven_n which_o can_v not_o be_v unless_o he_o have_v spiritual_o by_o faith_n eat_v the_o true_a food_n of_o everlasting_a life_n that_o be_v christ_n jesus_n crucify_v which_o he_o feed_v upon_o most_o assure_o while_o he_o hear_v saint_n peter_n preach_v christ_n there_o be_v in_o time_n of_o the_o primitive_a church_n great_a number_n of_o godly_a martyr_n save_v which_o never_o outward_o receive_v the_o sacrament_n of_o the_o lord_n supper_n and_o yet_o fruitful_o and_o effectual_o do_v eat_v christ_n by_o faith_n and_o so_o do_v many_o at_o this_o day_n which_o either_o by_o sickness_n or_o by_o imprisonment_n or_o by_o any_o other_o like_o cause_n of_o necessity_n be_v tie_v from_o the_o outward_a use_n of_o the_o sacrament_n yet_o as_o i_o have_v fayde_v god_n forbid_v that_o we_o shall_v think_v the_o sacrament_n of_o the_o lord_n supper_n superfluous_a but_o rather_o exceed_v profitable_a in_o the_o use_n of_o y_fw-fr t_o sacrament_n there_o be_v a_o
