V. 24 which strain at a gnat and swallow a camel Matth. V. 25 Wo unto you Scribes and Pharisees hypocrites for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter but within they are full of extortion and excesse Matth. Peter and John runne to the sepulchre L Luke Ch. 24 V. 12 THen arose Peter and ran unto the sepulchre and stouping down he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves and departed wondring in himself at that which was come to passe J John Ch. 20 V. 2 And Mary Magdalene * had come cometh to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved and * had said saith unto them They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre and we know not where they have laid him John V. 3 Peter therefore went forth and that other disciple and came to the sepulchre So they ran both together John V. 4 and the other disciple did outrunne Peter and came first to the sepulchre John V. 5 And he stouping down and looking in saw the linen clothes lying John V. 6 yet went he not in Then cometh Simon Peter following him and went into the sepulchre and seeth the linen clothes lie John V. 7 And the napkin that was about his head not lying with the linen clothes but wrapped together in a place by it self Then went in also that other disciple which came first to the sepulchre and he saw and beleeved John V. 8 For as yet they knew not the scripture John V. 9 that he must rise again from the dead John V. 10 Then the disciples went away again unto their own home CHAP.
