second_o the_o right_a order_n of_o his_o life_n and_o practice_n for_o the_o first_o god_n suit_v the_o disposition_n of_o man_n unto_o his_o end_n give_v he_o such_o knowledge_n of_o god_n as_o be_v fit_a for_o his_o present_a state_n and_o a_o heart_n dispose_a and_o incline_v to_o god_n in_o holy_a love_n but_o yet_o he_o do_v not_o fix_v or_o confirm_v he_o in_o this_o condition_n but_o have_v make_v he_o a_o free_a agent_n he_o leave_v he_o in_o the_o hand_n
of_o his_o own_o freewill_n for_o the_o second_o god_n do_v that_o which_o belong_v to_o he_o that_o be_v he_o give_v man_n a_o perfect_a law_n require_v he_o to_o continue_v in_o the_o love_n of_o god_n and_o perfect_o to_o obey_v he_o by_o the_o wilful_a breach_n of_o this_o law_n man_n do_v not_o only_o forfeit_v his_o hope_n of_o everlasting_a life_n but_o also_o turn_v his_o heart_n from_o god_n and_o fix_v it_o on_o these_o low_a fleshly_a thing_n and_o hereby_o do_v blot_v out_o the_o spiritual_a image_n of_o god_n from_o his_o soul._n so_o that_o man_n do_v both_o fall_n short_a of_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n which_o be_v his_o end_n and_o put_v himself_o out_o of_o the_o way_n by_o which_o he_o shall_v have_v attain_v it_o and_o this_o both_o as_o to_o the_o frame_n of_o his_o heart_n and_o of_o his_o life_n the_o holy_a inclination_n and_o love_n of_o his_o soul_n to_o god_n he_o lose_v and_o instead_o of_o it_o he_o contract_v a_o inclination_n and_o love_n to_o the_o job_n 14.4_o as_o a_o lion_n have_v a_o fierce_a and_o cruel_a nature_n before_o he_o do_v devour_v and_o as_o a_o adder_n have_v a_o venomous_a nature_n before_o he_o sting_v so_o in_o our_o very_a infancy_n we_o have_v those_o sinful_a nature_n or_o inclination_n before_o we_o think_v or_o speak_v or_o do_v amiss_o and_o hence_o spring_v all_o the_o sin_n of_o our_o life_n and_o not_o only_o so_o but_o when_o god_n have_v of_o his_o mercy_n provide_v we_o a_o remedy_n even_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n to_o be_v the_o saviour_n of_o our_o soul_n and_o bring_v we_o back_o to_o god_n again_o we_o natural_o love_v our_o present_a state_n and_o be_v â—oth_o to_o be_v bring_v out_o of_o it_o and_o therefore_o be_v set_v against_o the_o mean_n of_o our_o recovery_n and_o though_o custom_n have_v teach_v we_o to_o thank_v christ_n for_o his_o good_a will_n yet_o carnal_a self_n persuade_v we_o to_o refuse_v his_o remedy_n and_o to_o desire_v to_o be_v excuse_v when_o we_o be_v command_v to_o take_v the_o medicine_n which_o he_o offer_v and_o be_v call_v to_o forsake_v all_o and_o follow_v he_o to_o god_n and_o glory_n i_o pray_v you_o read_v over_o this_o leaf_n again_o and_o mark_v it_o for_o in_o these_o few_o word_n you_o have_v a_o true_a description_n of_o our_o natural_a state_n and_o consequent_o of_o a_o wicked_a man_n for_o every_o man_n that_o be_v in_o this_o state_n of_o corrupt_a nature_n be_v a_o wicked_a man_n and_o in_o a_o state_n of_o death_n by_o this_o also_o you_o be_v prepare_v to_o understand_v what_o it_o be_v to_o be_v convert_v to_o which_o end_n you_o must_v further_o know_v that_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n not_o will_v that_o man_n shall_v perish_v in_o his_o sin_n provide_v a_o remedy_n by_o cause_v his_o son_n to_o take_v seal_v up_o the_o scripture_n by_o miracle_n and_o wonder_n and_o to_o illuminate_v and_o convert_v the_o soul_n of_o the_o elect._n so_o that_o by_o this_o much_o you_o see_v that_o as_o there_o be_v three_o person_n in_o the_o trinity_n the_o father_n the_o son_n and_o the_o holy_a ghost_n so_o each_o of_o these_o person_n have_v their_o several_a work_n which_o be_v eminent_o ascribe_v to_o you_o nor_o have_v have_v any_o access_n to_o god_n if_o the_o son_n have_v not_o redeem_v you_o so_o neither_o can_v you_o have_v a_o part_n in_o christ_n or_o be_v save_v except_o the_o holy_a sure_a of_o earth_n he_o will_v let_v go_v heaven_n and_o have_v rather_o stay_v here_o then_o be_v remove_v thither_o a_o life_n of_o perfect_a holiness_n in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n and_o in_o
