estate_n of_o grace_n and_o holiness_n the_o worst_a whereof_o be_v so_o good_a as_o we_o have_v hear_v for_o if_o our_o first_o be_v in_o grace_n while_o we_o be_v yet_o but_o babe_n or_o beginner_n therein_o do_v give_v we_o assurance_n of_o so_o much_o consolation_n doubtless_o if_o we_o continue_v &_o hold_v out_o to_o the_o end_n as_o we_o grow_v and_o go_v on_o in_o grace_n so_o do_v the_o sweet_a savour_n of_o this_o happiness_n increase_v and_o multiply_v upon_o us._n but_o i_o hope_v the_o discovery_n of_o the_o comfort_n aforesaid_a be_v such_o as_o may_v save_v i_o the_o labour_n of_o any_o further_o press_v of_o this_o point_n upon_o they_o and_o that_o their_o taste_n of_o the_o blessedness_n of_o they_o be_v so_o pleasant_a as_o they_o have_v sensible_a argument_n within_o they_o sufficient_a both_o to_o persuade_v they_o to_o tarry_v where_o they_o be_v and_o to_o oppose_v and_o repulse_v all_o suggestion_n to_o the_o contrary_n and_o therefore_o i_o will_v not_o pursue_v they_o with_o more_o word_n for_o who_o sake_n especial_o all_o that_o be_v past_a have_v be_v utter_v and_o who_o settle_a resolution_n touch_v their_o state_n of_o grace_n be_v such_o and_o so_o unmoveable_a as_o be_v the_o apostle_n who_o say_v i_o be_o sure_a that_o neither_o death_n 8.38.39_o rom._n 8.38.39_o nor_o life_n nor_o angel_n nor_o principalitye_n nor_o power_n nor_o thing_n present_a nor_o thing_n to_o come_v nor_o hey_o nor_o depth_n nor_o any_o other_o creature_n shall_v be_v able_a to_o separate_v i_o from_o the_o love_n of_o god_n which_o be_v in_o jesus_n christ_n our_o lord_n this_o be_v he_o of_o himself_o and_o the_o roman_n this_o be_v and_o aught_o to_o be_v we_o of_o ourselves_o &_o of_o all_o true_a christian_n &_o therein_o we_o will_v rest_v and_o turno_fw-la our_o last_o speech_n unto_o those_o that_o yet_o be_v not_o turn_v to_o the_o lord_n by_o any_o visible_a manifestation_n of_o that_o faith_n the_o virtue_n whereof_o do_v give_v they_o their_o part_n and_o portion_n in_o the_o save_a peace_n and_o comfort_n of_o that_o which_o have_v be_v utter_v and_o what_o can_v we_o urge_v either_o more_o or_o less_o upon_o they_o then_o that_o they_o shall_v now_o at_o last_o learn_v to_o leave_v their_o former_a sinful_a and_o ungodly_a condition_n and_o cleave_v to_o the_o lord_n in_o the_o power_n and_o truth_n of_o sincerity_n and_o sanctification_n that_o inasmuch_o as_o they_o be_v not_o yet_o cannonize_v of_o the_o lord_n for_o saint_n nor_o have_v their_o name_n write_v in_o the_o book_n of_o life_n so_o far_o as_o their_o life_n show_v unto_o man_n they_o may_v now_o once_o bethink_v themselves_o what_o they_o be_v and_o come_v out_o of_o that_o estate_n wherein_o they_o can_v be_v happy_a and_o what_o more_o weighty_a or_o worthy_a argument_n can_v we_o use_v than_o this_o which_o be_v so_o powerful_a to_o persuade_v if_o it_o be_v due_o ponder_v of_o they_o for_o it_o be_v draw_v from_o that_o which_o nature_n affect_v and_o desire_v in_o all_o man_n above_o

all_o thing_n to_o wit_n the_o have_v of_o a_o good_a yea_o the_o best_a estate_n and_o condition_n that_o be_v to_o be_v have_v in_o this_o world_n and_o a_o much_o more_o better_a in_o heaven_n then_o can_v be_v have_v upon_o any_o term_n here_o and_o can_v there_o be_v a_o better_a estate_n then_o that_o or_o any_o so_o good_a as_o that_o which_o be_v impossible_a to_o be_v have_v at_o the_o worst_a and_o the_o worst_a whereof_o be_v better_a than_o the_o best_a of_o any_o other_o behold_v out_o of_o this_o estate_n all_o prosperity_n be_v misery_n and_o in_o it_o all_o misery_n be_v prosserity_n have_v we_o not_o make_v it_o more_o than_o manifest_a by_o such_o abundance_n of_o most_o infallible_a divine_a and_o undoubted_a evidence_n as_o neither_o devil_n nor_o man_n can_v colourable_o gainsay_v and_o be_v not_o such_o a_o state_n worth_n seek_v among_o those_o to_o who_o it_o be_v sole_o and_o wholey_n appropriate_v of_o the_o lord_n who_o will_v not_o be_v a_o saint_n upon_o such_o term_n &_o embrace_v piety_n because_o of_o the_o precious_a and_o peerless_a blessedness_n it_o bring_v we_o with_o it_o upon_o a_o man_n universal_a state_n here_o and_o that_o which_o be_v eternal_a in_o heaven_n why_o let_v man_n learn_v to_o reason_n and_o dispute_v thus_o if_o there_o be_v a_o sort_n of_o people_n who_o be_v in_o such_o a_o state_n as_o have_v be_v say_v the_o worst_a whereof_o be_v simple_o good_a and_o jncomparable_o better_a than_o the_o best_a estate_n of_o any_o other_o whatsoever_o what_o do_v i_o what_o be_o i_o out_o of_o that_o society_n i_o see_v myself_o miserable_a as_o i_o be_o at_o my_o best_a i_o will_v sure_o out_o of_o myself_o and_o strive_v with_o all_o my_o strength_n to_o be_v one_o of_o those_o man_n among_o who_o the_o mean_a fare_n so_o well_o when_o they_o be_v in_o the_o worst_a estate_n that_o can_v be_v and_o if_o thus_o god_n make_v we_o able_a to_o begin_v to_o argue_v for_o his_o glory_n against_o ourselves_o when_o these_o first_o proposition_n be_v well_o understand_v and_o apply_v of_o we_o we_o shall_v be_v able_a by_o his_o grace_n to_o frame_v more_o comfortable_a premise_n and_o to_o go_v forward_o in_o this_o divine_a disceptation_n with_o consideration_n of_o those_o further_a thing_n the_o conclusion_n and_o inference_n whereof_o will_v minister_v unto_o we_o yet_o more_o courage_n to_o cleave_v unto_o the_o lord_n in_o the_o communion_n of_o his_o saint_n for_o why_o the_o former_a argument_n be_v take_v from_o the_o misery_n greivance_n persecution_n and_o oppression_n of_o god_n people_n and_o yet_o it_o be_v powerful_a and_o able_a to_o conclude_v both_o a_o necessity_n and_o include_v also_o a_o excellency_n of_o our_o separation_n from_o sinner_n to_o become_v of_o that_o number_n who_o be_v so_o happy_a in_o their_o very_a misery_n but_o this_o latter_a may_v be_v take_v from_o the_o grace_n of_o the_o same_o man_n from_o who_o distress_n alone_o we_o reason_v before_o and_o for_o the_o further_o woo_v and_o fast_o glew_v of_o we_o unto_o the_o heavenly_a corporation_n of_o such_o as_o be_v happy_o incorporate_v into_o chrict_a jesus_n it_o may_v in_o the_o second_o place_n be_v frame_v thus_o if_o the_o worst_a of_o god_n people_n viz_o their_o trouble_n misery_n and_o oppression_n be_v such_o as_o do_v exceed_v all_o the_o wellbeing_n of_o other_o man_n if_o in_o their_o greivance_n and_o vexation_n it_o go_v so_o well_o with_o they_o how_o happy_a must_v these_o man_n be_v consider_v in_o their_o grace_n and_o the_o employment_n of_o they_o if_o their_o bitter_a sorrow_n be_v so_o sweet_a how_o will_v the_o sweet_a sap_n and_o savour_n of_o god_n spirit_n taste_v and_o relish_v in_o they_o if_o out_o of_o cruelty_n tyranny_n and_o all_o manner_n of_o evil_a so_o much_o good_a may_v issue_v when_o they_o have_v to_o do_v with_o wicked_a and_o unreasonable_a man_n who_o can_v conceive_v the_o consolation_n that_o shall_v accrue_v unto_o they_o in_o the_o free_a and_o peaceable_a excercise_n of_o their_o grace_n wherein_o they_o deal_v only_o with_o god_n own_o majesty_n and_o such_o of_o their_o fellow_n brother_n and_o sister_n as_o be_v true_o gracious_a with_o themselves_o if_o the_o trouble_a water_n which_o be_v so_o muddy_v with_o the_o foul_a fruit_n of_o satan_n and_o man_n malice_n may_v yield_v such_o joy_n what_o will_v flow_v from_o the_o bless_a influence_n of_o god_n himself_o think_v you_o when_o he_o shall_v lead_v they_o to_o those_o well_n of_o salvation_n whence_o they_o shall_v draw_v free_o and_o drink_v their_o fill_n of_o those_o pure_a crystal_n stream_n which_o himself_o have_v distil_v sure_o every_o man_n must_v needs_o in_o all_o reason_n think_v that_o if_o their_o worst_a estate_n of_o grief_n and_o misery_n be_v so_o good_a this_o of_o grace_n and_o peace_n can_v but_o be_v better_o and_o yield_v sweet_a fruit_n than_o the_o former_a and_o so_o the_o best_a estate_n of_o a_o wicked_a man_n be_v so_o far_o behind_o their_o worst_a must_v needs_o be_v much_o more_o behind_o this_o and_o utter_o incomparable_a there-unto_a and_o yet_o though_o this_o be_v much_o the_o most_o and_o best_a of_o all_o be_v yet_o to_o come_v viz_o their_o state_n of_o glory_n which_o shall_v be_v the_o reward_n both_o of_o their_o greivance_n and_o grace_n also_o &_o from_o that_o a_o man_n who_o hart_n be_v set_v aright_o may_v last_o reason_n thus_o these_o man_n god_n saint_n be_v happy_a than_o i_o at_o the_o worst_a of_o their_o misery_n even_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o their_o enemy_n they_o be_v yet_o more_o happy_a than_o so_o when_o with_o their_o god_n and_o with_o each_o other_o among_o themselves_o they_o may_v peaceable_o use_v their_o grace_n the_o least_o of_o these_o two_o be_v more_o than_o a_o little_a beyond_o my_o best_a but_o their_o best_a of_o all_o be_v yet_o to_o come_v to_o wit_n their_o blessedness_n and_o glory_n in_o heaven_n with_o the_o god_n of_o heaven_n what_o shall_v i_o conceive_v of_o their_o inconceivable_a felicity_n then_o and_o there_o and_o how_o infinite_o unhappy_a be_v i_o that_o be_o so_o short_a of_o the_o good_a they_o have_v in_o their_o very_a evil_n and_o be_o not_o yet_o come_v so_o far_o as_o to_o be_v equal_a with_o they_o in_o their_o mean_a and_o most_o afflict_a condition_n sure_o it_o be_v so_o well_o with_o they_o in_o their_o greivance_n it_o can_v but_o be_v much_o better_a with_o they_o in_o their_o grace_n and_o best_a of_o all_o in_o their_o glory_n o_o the_o hide_a yet_o heavenly_a estate_n of_o these_o holy_a one_o which_o be_v so_o heavenly_a that_o it_o must_v be_v hide_v there_o be_v no_o possibility_n on_o earth_n to_o reveal_v it_o who_o will_v be_v out_o of_o that_o state_n wherein_o be_v so_o much_o excellency_n that_o every_o evil_a therein_o be_v exceed_v good_a and_o every_o good_a exceed_v each_o other_o if_o a_o man_n hart_n be_v not_o chain_v to_o the_o devil_n &_o by_o the_o devil_n to_o the_o world_n to_o be_v keep_v here_o in_o that_o perpetual_a prison_n of_o infidelity_n and_o profane_v which_o will_v bring_v he_o to_o that_o perdition_n which_o be_v due_a there_o unto_o he_o can_v but_o be_v draw_v out_o of_o himself_o and_o his_o sinful_a state_n with_o this_o threefold_a cord_n and_o be_v tie_v fast_o for_o ever_o as_o one_o enamour_v and_o inflame_a to_o the_o lord_n god_n in_o the_o fellowship_n of_o those_o his_o saint_n who_o have_v be_v faithful_a before_o he_o here_o both_o in_o do_v his_o will_n and_o suffer_v for_o the_o same_o have_v now_o receive_v the_o wage_n both_o of_o their_o faith_n and_o suffering_n in_o the_o kingdom_n for_o which_o they_o suffer_v wherein_o they_o shall_v see_v he_o as_o he_o be_v 3.2_o 1_o joh._n 3.2_o and_o with_o he_o his_o bless_a son_n his_o eternal_a spirit_n his_o belove_a saint_n in_o that_o life_n and_o jmmortality_n bliss_n and_o felicity_n which_o god_n who_o be_v faithful_a have_v perform_v to_o they_o promise_v to_o we_o and_o to_o all_o the_o rest_n of_o his_o holy_a one_o 11.40_o heb._n 11.40_o keep_v they_o who_o be_v already_o in_o actual_a pofession_n not_o absolute_o perfect_a as_o be_v yet_o without_o we_o till_o we_o shall_v be_v bring_v unto_o they_o &_o both_o they_o and_o we_o and_o all_o the_o elect_a unto_o the_o lord_n our_o god_n at_o the_o last_o day_n to_o be_v complete_a in_o that_o entire_a and_o eternal_a perfection_n of_o glory_n the_o hope_n whereof_o give_v we_o we_o hart_n and_o make_v we_o wait_v and_o sigh_v in_o our_o soul_n look_v and_o long_v for_o that_o glorious_a appearance_n of_o he_o which_o shall_v make_v we_o to_o appear_v in_o glory_n with_o he_o for_o ever_o and_o ever_o amen_o
