man_n especial_o such_o as_o style_v themselves_o christian_n dare_v not_o speak_v any_o thing_n deviate_a from_o truth_n to_o wit_n at_o their_o approach_n to_o death_n and_o to_o god_n holy_a table_n indeed_o i_o can_v choose_v but_o be_v very_o much_o incline_v to_o his_o charitable_a opinion_n and_o must_v needs_o think_v it_o very_o hard_o that_o any_o person_n especial_o if_o he_o have_v be_v of_o a_o conversation_n void_a of_o offence_n towards_o god_n and_o towards_o man_n and_o of_o a_o life_n that_o may_v testify_v for_o he_o that_o he_o do_v not_o only_o style_v himself_o a_o christian_n but_o be_v real_o so_o that_o such_o a_o one_o i_o say_v shall_v not_o be_v believe_v in_o either_o of_o these_o two_o circumstance_n but_o i_o be_o as_o sure_a that_o it_o be_v very_o reasonable_a that_o what_o be_v utter_v in_o the_o very_a moment_n of_o death_n with_o all_o the_o circumstance_n that_o usual_o attend_v such_o protestation_n aught_o to_o carry_v much_o great_a force_n than_o that_o which_o be_v never_o so_o religious_o protest_v at_o the_o receive_n of_o the_o communion_n where_o the_o hope_n of_o avoid_v punishment_n by_o swear_v off_o a_o gild_n that_o be_v capital_a and_o the_o distance_n of_o the_o judgement_n that_o be_v threaten_v this_o violation_n and_o perhaps_o the_o disbelief_n of_o any_o future_a punishment_n for_o it_o at_o all_o may_v be_v very_o strong_a inducement_n to_o any_o person_n in_o these_o circumstance_n to_o venture_v to_o approach_v this_o holy_a table_n with_o a_o lie_n in_o his_o mouth_n especial_o if_o his_o life_n and_o conversation_n have_v be_v such_o and_o particular_o his_o reverence_n for_o this_o holy_a sacrament_n at_o other_o time_n so_o little_a as_o may_v give_v but_o very_o small_a ground_n of_o credibility_n to_o his_o protestation_n at_o the_o same_o holy_a sacrament_n when_o either_o to_o serve_v his_o interest_n or_o to_o save_v his_o life_n they_o be_v make_v and_o how_o far_o this_o may_v concern_v our_o noble_a protestor_n we_o shall_v short_o inquire_v if_o then_o the_o scribbler_n that_o tell_v we_o there_o be_v two_o time_n in_o which_o we_o be_v chief_o to_o believe_v man_n tell_v we_o as_o he_o do_v immediate_o after_o that_o for_o all_o this_o he_o can_v believe_v what_o have_v be_v so_o solemn_o assert_v by_o several_a gentleman_n at_o one_o of_o these_o his_o two_o time_n and_o that_o which_o of_o the_o two_o be_v least_o liable_a to_o suspicion_n of_o falsehood_n he_o can_v sure_o be_v offend_v if_o some_o person_n be_v as_o hard_o of_o belief_n to_o what_o be_v as_o solemn_o protest_v at_o the_o other_o and_o particular_o by_o my_o lord_n howard_n if_o some_o reason_n appear_v that_o may_v very_o well_o justify_v the_o incredulity_n that_o suspect_v this_o honourable_a lord_n declaration_n and_o first_o let_v people_n very_o well_o consider_v the_o last_o confession_n of_o fitz-harris_n so_o deliberate_o write_v each_o period_n so_o religious_o swear_v to_o upon_o his_o knee_n and_o with_o such_o dreadful_a imprecation_n own_a and_o assert_v for_o truth_n both_o at_o his_o pen_v it_o and_o at_o the_o last_o moment_n of_o his_o life_n without_o any_o hope_n of_o pardon_n upon_o earth_n or_o any_o possibility_n of_o pardon_n in_o heaven_n if_o he_o shall_v die_v with_o a_o lie_n in_o in_o his_o mouth_n and_o and_o then_o let_v they_o tell_v i_o which_o protestation_n ought_v to_o have_v great_a weight_n that_o of_o a_o die_a penitent_n or_o such_o a_o communicant_a sure_o if_o oath_n and_o protestation_n make_v man_n either_o innocent_a or_o guilty_a my_o lord_n howard_n and_o this_o be_v compare_v by_o impartial_a judge_n it_o will_v go_v very_o hard_o on_o the_o peer_n side_n but_o alas_o there_o be_v other_o testimony_n live_v witness_n which_o in_o these_o case_n be_v to_o make_v good_a such_o a_o charge_n as_o be_v lay_v to_o his_o lordship_n before_o that_o tribunal_n who_o justice_n be_v not_o here_o
