his_o worship_n and_o the_o worship_n of_o god_n consist_v not_o only_o in_o the_o bow_n of_o the_o knee_n but_o it_o main_o consist_v in_o the_o inward_a persuasion_n of_o the_o heart_n when_o a_o man_n be_v persuade_v that_o god_n be_v a_o most_o holy_a a_o most_o wise_a just_a and_o merciful_a god_n and_o out_o of_o this_o he_o worship_v and_o obey_v he_o and_o this_o be_v a_o act_n of_o faith_n remember_v therefore_o that_o faith_n be_v that_o which_o god_n do_v principal_o câ—ll_a for_o and_o therefore_o faith_n go_v far_o before_o work_n in_o as_o much_o as_o without_o faith_n it_o be_v impossible_a to_o please_v god_n let_v we_o therefore_o be_v exhort_v to_o labour_v to_o believe_v see_v it_o be_v a_o thinâ—s_n so_o acceptable_a to_o god_n and_o that_o this_o exhortation_n be_v not_o in_o vain_a it_o be_v needful_a for_o man_n to_o know_v whether_o they_o believe_v or_o no_o to_o this_o end_n therefore_o i_o will_v give_v you_o two_o or_o three_o sign_n of_o faith_n first_o if_o you_o will_v know_v whether_o you_o true_o believe_v whether_o you_o be_v within_o the_o number_n of_o those_o that_o be_v within_o the_o compass_n of_o regeneration_n consider_v whether_o you_o be_v sound_o humble_v for_o that_o be_v a_o preparation_n that_o go_v before_o faith_n and_o without_o which_o no_o man_n be_v make_v ever_o partaker_n of_o christ_n for_o the_o direction_n of_o christ_n be_v make_v to_o those_o that_o mourn_v in_o zion_n not_o that_o it_o be_v simple_o necessary_a to_o salvation_n but_o because_o without_o this_o no_o man_n come_v to_o christ_n i_o deny_v not_o but_o god_n be_v able_a to_o send_v lightning_n without_o thunder_n he_o may_v have_v preach_v the_o gospel_n to_o adam_n without_o the_o law_n but_o his_o will_n be_v not_o so_o he_o first_o convince_v adam_n
