a_o corruptible_a man_n and_o of_o bird_n and_o four_o footed_a beast_n and_o of_o creep_a thing_n 2._o reas_n be_v the_o evil_a disposition_n of_o nature_n which_o turn_v all_o thing_n into_o his_o own_o temper_n and_o therefore_o it_o can_v not_o be_v but_o the_o silence_n of_o the_o lord_n shall_v be_v abuse_v by_o our_o thought_n 3._o reas_n self-pleasing_a ourselves_o herod_n will_v part_v with_o all_o before_o he_o will_v part_v with_o his_o brother_n wife_n the_o young_a man_n will_v leave_v christ_n before_o he_o forsake_v his_o riches_n and_o therefore_o before_o the_o silence_n of_o the_o lord_n shall_v cross_v our_o nature_n we_o must_v either_o cross_v it_o or_o else_o restrain_v it_o unto_o ourselves_o and_o give_v it_o that_o limitation_n which_o shall_v best_o agree_v with_o our_o pleasure_n 1._o use_v reprehension_n a_o confutation_n of_o the_o wicked_a for_o the_o abuse_n of_o their_o reason_n in_o that_o they_o will_v become_v absolute_a judge_n of_o god_n wisdom_n it_o be_v enough_o for_o the_o servant_n to_o become_v as_o the_o master_n god_n truth_n will_v have_v no_o controller_n and_o therefore_o must_v he_o command_v or_o else_o he_o will_v testify_v against_o we_o and_o accuse_v we_o for_o the_o breach_n of_o his_o prerogative_n royal_a second_o a_o correction_n of_o the_o godly_a that_o any_o way_n subject_v themselves_o to_o the_o judgement_n of_o wicked_a man_n their_o fountain_n be_v naught_o &_o therefore_o their_o stream_n can_v not_o be_v sweet_a 2._o use_v instruction_n first_o a_o admonition_n of_o the_o wicked_a to_o be_v more_o careful_a for_o their_o thought_n indeed_o we_o say_v thought_n be_v free_a but_o yet_o let_v they_o know_v that_o there_o be_v a_o word_n which_o be_v a_o discerner_n of_o the_o thought_n and_o the_o intent_n of_o the_o heart_n and_o therefore_o what_o they_o have_v speak_v in_o the_o thievish_a corner_n of_o their_o heart_n shall_v be_v plain_o detect_v even_o upon_o the_o house_n top_n second_o a_o direction_n to_o the_o godly_a &_o that_o be_v a_o denial_n of_o themselves_o and_o of_o their_o own_o thought_n and_o whole_o yield_v themselves_o unto_o god_n truth_n 3._o use_v consolation_n to_o all_o they_o that_o see_v the_o want_n of_o god_n image_n and_o desire_v it_o more_o than_o they_o presume_v they_o have_v it_o this_o will_v take_v away_o our_o own_o conceit_n and_o breed_v in_o we_o the_o clear_a
and_o affection_n they_o proceed_v to_o strange_a disorder_n in_o life_n and_o conversation_n and_o therefore_o v._o 28._o they_o be_v say_v to_o doâ—_n those_o thing_n which_o be_v not_o convenient_a and_o without_o for_o knowledge_n will_n and_o affection_n they_o be_v disorder_v at_o home_n for_o life_n and_o conversation_n abroad_o observe_v hence_o than_o it_o follow_v that_o sin_n be_v nothing_o but_o disorder_n and_o confusion_n and_o that_o sinner_n be_v the_o only_o disorder_a and_o confuse_a person_n in_o the_o world_n first_o for_o the_o confusion_n of_o sin_n see_v it_o in_o regard_n of_o all_o time_n god_n have_v from_o the_o begin_n of_o the_o world_n make_v the_o time_n of_o his_o mercy_n and_o justice_n appear_v and_o yet_o sin_n have_v so_o obscure_v they_o that_o a_o man_n can_v not_o discern_v whether_o man_n be_v more_o holy_a in_o the_o time_n of_o the_o law_n or_o now_o in_o the_o gospel_n indeed_o in_o the_o 2._o of_o tit._n v._n 11._o it_o be_v say_v not_o the_o work_n of_o the_o lord_n many_o of_o their_o work_n will_v testify_v that_o gentilism_n judaisme_n atheism_n and_o christianisme_n be_v all_o one_o three_o it_o have_v make_v a_o confusion_n of_o all_o calling_n insomuch_o that_o no_o man_n can_v distinguish_v by_o the_o life_n of_o man_n betwixt_o a_o calling_n and_o a_o recreation_n for_o if_o recreation_n be_v not_o calling_n than_o many_o a_o gentleman_n will_v prove_v himself_o to_o have_v no_o call_n four_o in_o action_n good_a or_o bad_a neceffarie_a or_o indifferent_a seasonable_a or_o unseasonable_a sin_n the_o son_n and_o servant_n against_o master_n so_o that_o he_o that_o will_v espy_v out_o any_o order_n in_o the_o world_n may_v not_o with_o diogenes_n take_v a_o candle_n at_o noon_n day_n go_v up_o and_o down_o the_o market_n to_o spy_v out_o a_o honest_a man_n but_o if_o he_o be_v compass_v about_o with_o all_o the_o star_n in_o heaven_n and_o have_v all_o the_o light_n in_o the_o world_n he_o be_v not_o able_a to_o spy_v out_o any_o order_n in_o any_o corner_n of_o the_o world_n except_o that_o which_o the_o lord_n himself_o have_v do_v &_o will_v perfect_o accomplish_v hereafter_o honesty_n nor_o dishonesty_n but_o rush_v into_o sin_n as_o the_o horse_n do_v into_o the_o battle_n and_o drink_v in_o iniquity_n as_o the_o fish_n do_v water_n as_o for_o person_n what_o care_n and_o conscience_n make_v man_n of_o their_o company_n they_o can_v shake_v hand_n with_o every_o body_n be_v most_o at_o ease_n with_o the_o wicked_a and_o solace_v themselves_o with_o those_o that_o and_o sinner_n break_v all_o god_n limit_n and_o will_v be_v keep_v within_o no_o compass_n until_o the_o lord_n take_v sin_n and_o sinner_n and_o chain_v they_o up_o for_o ever_o with_o the_o devil_n in_o hell_n reas_n 2._o because_o sin_n confound_v all_o man_n memory_n for_o take_v a_o sinner_n either_o in_o church_n or_o commonwealth_n to_o give_v account_n either_o to_o god_n or_o man_n of_o that_o which_o they_o trust_v he_o withal_o and_o you_o shall_v find_v he_o so_o confound_v with_o the_o spend_n of_o his_o master_n good_n that_o he_o can_v tell_v just_o how_o any_o penny_n be_v
