then_o yet_o because_o the_o jew_n receive_v moses_n and_o the_o prophet_n he_o sometime_o show_v how_o they_o prophesy_v of_o he_o yea_o his_o very_a doctrine_n who_o frame_n have_v a_o self-evidencing_a light_n be_v not_o full_o reveal_v till_o it_o be_v do_v by_o the_o spirit_n in_o the_o apostle_n 2._o q._n 18._o but_o though_o all_o these_o miracle_n be_v wrought_v how_o can_v it_o be_v certain_a that_o they_o be_v the_o attestation_n of_o god_n when_o it_o be_v say_v that_o magician_n false_a prophet_n and_o antichrist_n may_v do_v such_o thing_n a._n 1._o i_o shall_v first_o mind_n you_o that_o though_o we_o be_v never_o so_o uncertain_a of_o the_o nature_n of_o a_o miracle_n whether_o it_o be_v wrought_v by_o any_o create_a cause_n yet_o we_o be_v agree_v that_o by_o miracle_n we_o mean_v such_o work_n which_o be_v wrought_v quite_o out_o of_o and_o against_o the_o common_a course_n of_o second_o cause_n call_v nature_n and_o we_o be_v sure_a that_o as_o no_o work_n can_v be_v do_v without_o god_n premotion_n or_o permission_n at_o least_o so_o special_o the_o course_n of_o nature_n can_v be_v alter_v and_o overrule_v but_o by_o god_n knowledge_n consent_n and_o execution_n what_o ever_o second_n cause_v unknown_a to_o we_o may_v be_v in_o it_o certain_o god_n be_v the_o first_o cause_n 2._o and_o it_o be_v most_o certain_a that_o the_o most_o perfect_a governor_n of_o the_o world_n be_v not_o the_o great_a deceiver_n of_o the_o world_n and_o be_v not_o so_o want_v in_o power_n wisdom_n and_o goodness_n as_o to_o rule_v they_o by_o a_o lie_n yea_o and_o a_o unresistible_a and_o remediless_a deceit_n this_o be_v rather_o the_o description_n of_o satan_n 3._o and_o man_n must_v know_v the_o will_n of_o god_n by_o some_o sign_n or_o other_o or_o else_o he_o can_v do_v it_o and_o what_o sign_n can_v the_o wit_n of_o man_n devise_v by_o which_o they_o that_o will_v fain_o know_v the_o will_n of_o god_n may_v come_v to_o be_v certain_a of_o it_o if_o such_o a_o course_n of_o miracle_n may_v deceive_v we_o will_v you_o believe_v if_o some_o come_v from_o the_o dead_a as_o witness_n or_o if_o a_o angel_n or_o many_o angel_n come_v
