prove_v the_o minor_a viz._n that_o the_o scripture_n call_v death_n a_o sleep_n and_o a_o rest_n in_o very_a many_o place_n seem_v to_o myself_o a_o needless_a trouble_n or_o undertake_v for_o that_o all_o who_o be_v conversant_a in_o scripture_n know_v this_o thing_n to_o be_v true_a but_o deplore_o i_o again_o consider_v that_o a_o great_a part_n or_o a_o great_a part_n of_o people_n be_v not_o so_o well_o verss_v in_o this_o book_n as_o to_o be_v without_o need_n of_o proof_n in_o this_o matter_n and_o for_o their_o sake_n i_o take_v upon_o myself_o the_o labour_n of_o somewhat_o a_o troublesome_a induction_n of_o particular_n in_o proof_n of_o this_o truth_n therefore_o i_o quote_v job_n 3.13_o why_o die_v i_o not_o from_o the_o womb_n for_o if_o so_o i_o have_v now_o be_v seem_v very_o needless_a and_o somewhat_o incongruous_a to_o introduce_v another_o mean_n or_o medium_n of_o future_a recompense_n neither_o clear_a in_o itself_o nor_o plain_o assert_v or_o precise_o teach_v in_o the_o scripture_n as_o a_o christian_a doctrine_n nor_o yet_o receive_v as_o a_o article_n into_o any_o of_o our_o most_o ancient_a and_o approve_a creed_n whereas_o the_o reception_n of_o our_o article_n of_o the_o resurrection_n into_o every_o one_o of_o they_o fix_v the_o same_o in_o the_o christian_a religion_n like_o a_o rock_n immovable_a and_o we_o read_v that_o he_o who_o build_v his_o house_n upon_o a_o rock_n be_v wise_a but_o he_o who_o choose_v to_o build_v upon_o the_o sand_n be_v otherwise_o and_o what_o can_v man_n otherwise_o think_v of_o one_o not_o able_a to_o support_v himself_o and_o in_o want_n of_o direction_n and_o relief_n be_v in_o reach_n or_o compass_v of_o a_o firm_a and_o strong_a pillar_n will_v choose_v to_o lean_v himself_o against_o a_o post_n which_o if_o it_o be_v not_o rot_v yet_o may_v be_v reasonable_o repute_v both_o feeble_a and_o suspicious_a the_o censure_n due_a upon_o such_o a_o choice_n shall_v be_v leave_v to_o the_o consideration_n of_o every_o man_n and_o thus_o it_o seem_v we_o have_v show_v and_o prove_v the_o resurrection_n sufficient_a to_o answer_v the_o world_n expectation_n concern_v reward_n and_o will_v not_o suffer_v his_o faithful_a servant_n to_o go_v unrewarded_a and_o therefore_o have_v promise_v the_o resurrection_n insert_v into_o all_o our_o creed_n now_o though_o i_o be_v not_o
