some_o other_o have_v at_o thirty_o but_o they_o that_o arrive_v not_o to_o understanding_n by_o the_o thirty_o year_n of_o their_o age_n certain_o never_o will_v attain_v to_o the_o wisdom_n and_o of_o our_o saviour_n when_o he_o be_v baptize_v do_v no_o doubt_n show_v we_o that_o the_o proper_a subject_n of_o baptism_n be_v only_o adult_a person_n so_o far_o it_o be_v our_o rule_n as_o a_o example_n but_o say_v you_o many_o action_n of_o christ_n be_v for_o our_o instruction_n which_o be_v not_o to_o be_v imitate_v and_o such_o be_v his_o baptism_n when_o he_o be_v thirty_o year_n of_o a_o infant_n but_o he_o be_v god_n as_o well_o as_o man_n foresee_v how_o this_o ordinance_n in_o after_o time_n will_v be_v corrupt_v and_o the_o proper_a subject_n thereof_o change_v even_o from_o believer_n or_o adult_a person_n to_o infant_n think_v it_o necessary_a no_o doubt_n to_o leave_v upon_o record_n the_o very_a time_n of_o his_o age_n when_o baptize_v to_o all_o generation_n to_o put_v a_o end_n to_o this_o controversy_n for_o this_o be_v say_v by_o the_o pedobaptist_n viz._n in_o the_o first_o age_n of_o the_o church_n or_o when_o baptism_n be_v first_o give_v forth_o believer_n be_v baptise_a but_o where_o do_v you_o find_v say_v they_o that_o any_o believer_n in_o all_o the_o new_a testament_n that_o be_v baptize_v do_v delay_n to_o baptise_v he_o or_o her_o child_n until_o they_o come_v to_o a_o ripe_a age._n we_o answer_v that_o we_o do_v find_v such_o a_o instance_n in_o respect_n of_o our_o saviour_n baptism_n for_o all_o must_v confess_v that_o the_o bless_a virgin_n or_o mother_n of_o jesus_n and_o joseph_n his_o suppose_a father_n be_v both_o eminent_a believer_n and_o baptise_a too_o none_o doubt_n of_o that_o and_o yet_o they_o delay_v or_o refer_v the_o baptise_v of_o the_o holy_a jesus_n until_o he_o become_v a_o adult_n person_n obj._n but_o if_o any_o shall_v object_n that_o john_n who_o be_v the_o firsh_v that_o receive_v a_o commission_n to_o baptise_v be_v but_o a_o little_o old_a than_o our_o saviour_n and_o therefore_o be_v not_o capable_a to_o baptise_v jesus_n christ_n when_o he_o be_v a_o babe_n i_o answer_v though_o this_o be_v true_a yet_o god_n be_v a_o free_a agent_n and_o not_o tie_v to_o one_o man_n more_o than_o to_o another_o can_v not_o he_o have_v give_v commission_n to_o any_o other_o person_n
