christian_n who_o instead_o of_o glorify_v god_n in_o their_o body_n and_o in_o their_o spirit_n open_o dishonour_v he_o in_o both_o glory_n in_o their_o shame_n and_o by_o their_o wicked_a and_o profligate_v life_n crucify_v afresh_o the_o son_n of_o god_n and_o blaspheme_v that_o worthy_a name_n by_o which_o they_o be_v call_v last_o how_o many_o myriad_n how_o many_o million_o be_v there_o beside_o all_o these_o that_o yet_o sit_v in_o darkness_n and_o in_o the_o shadow_n of_o death_n who_o never_o hear_v of_o the_o glad_a tiding_n of_o the_o gospel_n nor_o have_v have_v their_o understanding_n enlighten_v and_o their_o heart_n revive_v and_o awaken_v out_o of_o the_o deadly_a lethargy_n of_o pagan_a ignorance_n and_o superstition_n and_o idolatry_n by_o the_o benign_a and_o behold_v but_o it_o diminish_v much_o from_o its_o excellency_n when_o we_o consider_v that_o all_o its_o lustre_n be_v borrow_v and_o that_o shall_v the_o sun_n withhold_v its_o influence_n the_o other_o will_v be_v nothing_o else_o but_o a_o dark_a invisible_a globe_n so_o likewise_o when_o we_o consider_v the_o angel_n and_o archangel_n and_o all_o the_o mighty_a power_n of_o heaven_n that_o excel_v in_o strength_n and_o goodness_n and_o holiness_n we_o must_v needs_o acknowledge_v that_o these_o be_v creature_n beyond_o all_o our_o thought_n happy_a and_o glorious_a but_o when_o we_o consider_v further_o that_o as_o great_a and_o good_a and_o happy_a as_o they_o be_v yet_o still_o they_o be_v but_o creature_n and_o that_o all_o these_o rich_a endowment_n that_o they_o have_v receive_v they_o owe_v to_o the_o father_n of_o spirit_n from_o who_o alone_o come_v every_o good_a and_o perfect_a gift_n all_o the_o praise_n and_o glory_n redound_v sole_o to_o the_o almighty_a creator_n who_o make_v his_o angel_n spirit_n and_o his_o minister_n a_o flame_a fire_n and_o to_o who_o sovereign_a will_n and_o uncontrollable_a power_n the_o high_a archangel_n be_v as_o subject_a foolish_a and_o unreasonable_a pride_n as_o cast_v the_o fall_v angel_n out_o of_o heaven_n and_o man_n out_o of_o paradise_n but_o for_o god_n to_o do_v thus_o be_v both_o wise_a and_o just_a see_v wine_n though_o these_o thing_n be_v strong_a temptation_n and_o very_o apt_a to_o alienate_v our_o heart_n from_o god_n yet_o the_o consideration_n of_o our_o saviour_n ascension_n will_v enable_v we_o to_o overcome_v they_o if_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o these_o worldly_a blessing_n we_o frequent_o and_o serious_o call_v to_o mind_n that_o we_o have_v a_o great_a highpriest_n that_o be_v prepare_v for_o we_o thing_n that_o be_v incomparable_o better_a and_o more_o glorious_a in_o heaven_n our_o eye_n then_o will_v not_o be_v dazzle_v nor_o our_o heart_n bewitch_v with_o these_o fade_a and_o perish_v enjoyment_n upon_o earth_n we_o shall_v set_v no_o high_o a_o estimate_n upon_o they_o than_o they_o deserve_v but_o shall_v be_v careful_a to_o use_v they_o with_o a_o christian_a for_o the_o present_a run_v well_o the_o good_a race_n that_o be_v set_v before_o he_o to_o faint_a before_o he_o come_v to_o the_o end_n of_o it_o and_o by_o so_o do_v to_o lose_v his_o prize_n for_o he_o that_o for_o a_o while_n believe_v in_o time_n of_o temptation_n when_o tribulation_n or_o persecution_n arise_v because_o of_o the_o word_n to_o be_v offend_v and_o fall_v away_o for_o he_o who_o have_v once_o escape_v the_o pollution_n of_o the_o world_n through_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o saviour_n jesus_n christ_n to_o be_v again_o entangle_v therein_o and_o overcome_v insomuch_o that_o his_o latter_a end_n shall_v be_v worse_o than_o the_o beginning_n and_o therefore_o no_o man_n ought_v to_o be_v over_o confident_a and_o secure_a of_o his_o final_a perseverance_n nor_o to_o presume_v that_o because_o at_o the_o present_a upon_o a_o strict_a examination_n of_o his_o conscience_n and_o of_o the_o condition_n of_o his_o soul_n he_o find_v that_o he_o be_v in_o a_o state_n of_o grace_n that_o that_o state_n be_v unalterable_a and_o that_o he_o shall_v infallible_o continue_v in_o it_o unto_o his_o life_n end_n for_o he_o that_o think_v he_o stand_v may_v fall_v and_o of_o what_o a_o dangerous_a consequence_n such_o a_o presumption_n be_v we_o may_v see_v by_o the_o example_n of_o s._n peter_n and_o indeed_o of_o all_o the_o rest_n of_o our_o saviour_n disciple_n for_o as_o they_o all_o join_v with_o s._n peter_n in_o that_o good_a resolution_n of_o never_o forsake_v christ_n for_o peter_n say_v unto_o he_o though_o i_o shall_v die_v with_o thou_o yet_o will_v i_o not_o deny_v thou_o likewise_o also_o say_v all_o the_o disciple_n so_o they_o do_v all_o of_o they_o in_o effect_n join_v with_o he_o also_o in_o the_o denial_n of_o he_o for_o s._n matthew_n tell_v we_o that_o they_o all_o forsake_v he_o and_o flee_v but_o s._n peter_n that_o be_v the_o most_o confident_a of_o all_o deny_v he_o the_o most_o shameful_o and_o base_o of_o all_o with_o oath_n and_o curse_n swear_v that_o he_o know_v he_o not_o thus_o dangerous_a be_v presumption_n to_o that_o great_a saint_n and_o it_o will_v be_v as_o dangerous_a to_o every_o one_o of_o we_o if_o we_o entertain_v it_o in_o our_o heart_n he_o that_o think_v he_o stand_v so_o firm_a that_o he_o can_v never_o fall_v it_o be_v much_o to_o be_v fear_v that_o he_o be_v fall_v already_o and_o fall_v so_o low_a that_o he_o be_v in_o danger_n never_o to_o rise_v again_o except_o it_o be_v by_o some_o extraordinary_a act_n of_o mercy_n such_o as_o our_o saviour_n
