heavenly_a conversation_n 3._o a_o perseverance_n in_o that_o way_n of_o faith_n and_o holiness_n to_o the_o end_n against_o all_o internal_a or_o external_a opposition_n now_o a_o middle_n worldly_a righteous_a one_o to_o favour_v they_o and_o make_v much_o of_o they_o they_o be_v their_o best_a friend_n that_o be_v god_n friend_n they_o shall_v favour_v they_o most_o who_o god_n favour_n of_o they_o that_o be_v the_o great_a among_o man_n and_o sit_v at_o the_o upper_a end_n of_o the_o world_n may_v need_v the_o help_n of_o the_o faith_n and_o prayer_n of_o the_o mean_a saint_n they_o may_v need_v they_o to_o interpose_v with_o god_n for_o they_o and_o ward_v off_o his_o blow_n or_o remove_v his_o plague_n and_o when_o he_o have_v no_o respect_n to_o a_o people_n for_o their_o own_o sake_n yet_o he_o may_v for_o the_o sake_n of_o his_o servant_n among_o they_o 5._o it_o be_v folly_n in_o any_o people_n to_o persecute_v they_o that_o be_v true_o religious_a that_o be_v but_o to_o fall_v foul_a upon_o their_o friend_n and_o then_o they_o lie_v open_a to_o their_o enemy_n or_o be_v indeed_o their_o own_o great_a enemy_n to_o pluck_v the_o stake_n out_o of_o the_o hedge_n that_o be_v their_o preserver_n for_o by_o this_o mean_v they_o lose_v 1._o the_o benefit_n of_o the_o saint_n prayer_n when_o man_n go_v on_o malicious_o to_o abuse_v and_o oppress_v the_o godly_a among_o they_o god_n may_v refuse_v to_o hear_v even_o their_o prayer_n for_o they_o the_o jew_n persecute_v jeremiah_n slander_v he_o as_o a_o traitor_n jer._n 37.13_o smite_v he_o with_o their_o with_o god_n for_o the_o prevention_n of_o national_a judgement_n when_o other_o mean_n fail_v yet_o prayer_n may_v prevail_v human_a strength_n and_o human_a wisdom_n may_v be_v able_a to_o do_v
