as_o man_n can_v give_v no_o blessing_n with_o their_o institution_n so_o neither_o can_v they_o make_v ordinance_n for_o god_n to_o bless_v or_o promise_n god_n blessing_n with_o they_o they_o make_v that_o man_n in_o the_o use_n of_o they_o may_v wait_v with_o confidence_n and_o good_a ground_n for_o it_o therein_o it_o be_v god_n part_n to_o appoint_v the_o medium_n which_o we_o be_v to_o make_v use_n of_o as_o sacrament_n or_o divine_a ordinance_n and_o promise_v and_o give_v blessing_n in_o the_o due_a use_n of_o they_o according_a to_o his_o appointment_n and_o in_o such_o medium_n we_o may_v expect_v and_o find_v blessing_n no_o matter_n how_o unlikely_a or_o homely_a be_v their_o matter_n god_n who_o have_v the_o sole_a power_n of_o institute_v ordinance_n and_o mean_n of_o blessing_n have_v power_n to_o give_v blessing_n with_o or_o by_o what_o mean_v he_o please_v if_o he_o bid_v set_v up_o a_o piece_n of_o brass_n and_o direct_v a_o wound_a creature_n to_o behold_v blood_n or_o a_o communion_n of_o they_o it_o be_v not_o good_a to_o dispute_v or_o despise_v his_o ordinance_n because_o of_o the_o meanness_n of_o their_o visible_a matter_n but_o obey_v and_o observe_v his_o appointment_n for_o this_o we_o may_v also_o hence_o note_n that_o the_o efficacy_n or_o blessing_n of_o god_n ordinance_n depend_v not_o on_o the_o excellency_n or_o meanness_n of_o their_o outward_a matter_n he_o give_v forth_o his_o treasure_n in_o earthy_a vessel_n and_o make_v manifest_v his_o power_n in_o very_a weakness_n make_v the_o foolishness_n of_o the_o preach_a of_o the_o cross_a the_o power_n and_o wisdom_n of_o god_n to_o salvation_n to_o they_o that_o believe_v it_o therefore_o it_o be_v not_o good_a so_o say_v as_o the_o son_n of_o belial_n say_v of_o saul_n when_o god_n have_v anoint_v he_o they_o despise_v he_o and_o send_v he_o no_o present_n how_o can_v this_o man_n save_o we_o so_o how_o can_v this_o water_n wash_v away_o our_o sin_n or_o this_o bread_n and_o wine_n nourish_v our_o soul_n or_o promote_v our_o eternal_a life_n for_o as_o there_o it_o be_v not_o the_o man_n that_o save_v but_o the_o power_n of_o god_n with_o he_o that_o make_v
