which_o we_o wait_v for_o but_o that_o the_o apostle_n in_o this_o chapter_n and_o all_o other_o place_n speak_v of_o the_o resurrection_n do_v treat_v of_o it_o spiritual_o &_o allegorical_o and_o that_o he_o never_o do_v hold_v forth_o such_o a_o carnal_a and_o gross_a resurrection_n as_o we_o in_o our_o muddy_a brain_n do_v gross_o apprehend_v he_o do_v in_o answer_n to_o which_o objection_n we_o shall_v grant_v that_o the_o apostle_n in_o sundry_a place_n do_v speak_v of_o a_o resurrection_n figurative_o as_o in_o the_o 3._o col._n 1._o if_o you_o be_v rise_v with_o christ_n seek_v those_o thing_n which_o be_v above_o where_o he_o speak_v of_o a_o resurrection_n to_o a_o new_a life_n in_o the_o spirit_n by_o faith_n and_o in_o this_o sense_n we_o grant_v that_o saint_n be_v already_o rise_v there_o be_v no_o happiness_n for_o such_o at_o the_o second_o resurrection_n hereafter_o who_o be_v not_o first_o raise_v here_o and_o make_v partaker_n of_o the_o first_o law_n that_o it_o be_v impossible_a for_o sinful_a man_n to_o find_v out_o any_o way_n but_o the_o good_a old_a way_n of_o grace_n to_o happiness_n and_o salvation_n second_o we_o be_v justify_v by_o grace_n that_o god_n may_v have_v the_o glory_n of_o his_o grace_n man_n fall_v by_o pride_n therefore_o god_n will_v not_o estate_n he_o in_o happiness_n but_o by_o humble_v he_o by_o bring_v he_o upon_o his_o knee_n to_o the_o throne_n of_o grace_n that_o he_o may_v have_v the_o glory_n of_o his_o grace_n natural_o we_o be_v full_a of_o pride_n and_o will_v rise_v by_o that_o by_o which_o we_o more_o grace_n if_o it_o be_v of_o work_n than_o it_o be_v no_o more_o of_o grace_n otherwise_o work_n be_v no_o more_o work_n rom._n 11.6_o therefore_o god_n will_v not_o justify_v we_o in_o do_v the_o work_n of_o the_o law_n in_o give_v we_o a_o sight_n of_o any_o thing_n that_o may_v make_v we_o more_o worthy_a of_o justification_n than_o other_o man_n but_o he_o make_v know_v his_o grace_n to_o we_o in_o a_o way_n of_o believe_a the_o property_n of_o faith_n be_v to_o empty_a the_o creature_n and_o to_o discover_v the_o fullness_n of_o the_o creator_n our_o own_o work_n they_o puff_v we_o up_o but_o faith_n empty_v we_o if_o we_o can_v be_v justify_v and_o save_v by_o that_o which_o we_o have_v do_v we_o may_v boast_v and_o rejoice_v in_o it_o before_o god_n rom._n 4.2_o but_o because_o god_n will_v humble_v we_o bring_v we_o low_o lay_v we_o upon_o our_o back_n and_o tumble_v we_o in_o the_o dust_n that_o we_o may_v see_v ourselves_o nothing_o and_o see_v his_o grace_n all_o in_o all_o to_o we_o for_o our_o justification_n therefore_o god_n justify_v we_o only_o in_o believe_v faith_n lay_v the_o creature_n low_a and_o set_v the_o grace_n of_o god_n on_o high_a that_o we_o may_v go_v to_o heaven_n admire_v the_o grace_n of_o god_n to_o such_o sinner_n such_o base_a and_o vile_a wretch_n as_o we_o be_v therefore_o god_n will_v not_o justify_v and_o save_v we_o in_o the_o court_n of_o our_o own_o conscience_n by_o the_o sight_n of_o our_o own_o work_n but_o only_o by_o the_o sight_n of_o his_o own_o grace_n thus_o it_o be_v say_v of_o abraham_n that_o he_o stagger_v not_o at_o the_o promise_n of_o god_n by_o unbelief_n but_o be_v strong_a in_o faith_n he_o give_v glory_n to_o god_n rom._n 4.20_o when_o god_n come_v down_o upon_o we_o and_o work_v faith_n in_o our_o heart_n and_o we_o stagger_v not_o at_o the_o promise_n of_o grace_n by_o unbelief_n but_o give_v credit_n to_o what_o he_o have_v speak_v and_o promise_v god_n have_v that_o glory_n from_o we_o that_o he_o will_v have_v from_o all_o those_o who_o he_o intend_v to_o save_v unbelief_n rob_v man_n of_o his_o comfort_n &_o god_n of_o his_o glory_n by_o faith_n the_o creature_n be_v comfort_v and_o the_o creator_n exalt_v through_o faith_n man_n be_v empty_v of_o selfe-confidence_n and_o fill_v with_o god_n and_o his_o praise_n therefore_o for_o this_o reason_n be_v we_o save_v through_o faith_n again_o four_o it_o be_v by_o faith_n because_o it_o be_v only_o by_o believe_v that_o we_o behold_v the_o grace_n that_o be_v in_o god_n by_o which_o he_o forgive_v sin_n man_n happiness_n for_o the_o present_a do_v not_o lie_v in_o the_o not_o have_v of_o sin_n but_o in_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n not_o impute_v sin_n nostra_fw-la justicia_fw-la est_fw-la dei_fw-la indulgentia_fw-la god_n favour_v and_o
