glory_n to_o come_v transport_v god_n child_n that_o they_o become_v as_o the_o psalmist_n say_v inâ—briati_n ab_fw-la ubertate_fw-la domus_fw-la dei_fw-la so_o drunken_a with_o the_o pleasure_n of_o heavenly_a thing_n and_o these_o small_a beginning_n may_v witness_v unto_o we_o the_o excellency_n of_o that_o life_n which_o at_o length_n shall_v change_v we_o wonderful_o from_o that_o which_o now_o we_o be_v ver._n 3._o if_o so_o be_v we_o shall_v be_v find_v clothe_v upon_o and_o not_o naked_a because_o in_o the_o former_a verse_n the_o apostle_n have_v say_v he_o desire_v to_o be_v may_v stand_v with_o the_o lord_n dispensation_n and_o of_o this_o condition_n which_o here_o the_o apostle_n subjoin_v for_o correction_n of_o his_o former_a speech_n will_n we_o may_v learn_v how_o the_o godly_a in_o desire_v of_o thing_n not_o absolute_o promise_v to_o all_o god_n child_n albeit_o give_v to_o some_o of_o they_o do_v so_o temper_v and_o moderate_v their_o desire_n that_o they_o submit_v their_o will_n to_o god_n most_o holy_a will_n whereor_fw-la we_o be_v admonish_v how_o much_o more_o we_o ought_v to_o mortify_v in_o ourselves_o the_o unlawful_a desire_n of_o thing_n absolute_o prohibit_v as_o be_v against_o the_o will_n of_o god_n since_o the_o apostle_n
will_v not_o seek_v that_o which_o god_n have_v grant_v to_o â—ome_o us._n but_o conditional_o that_o it_o may_v stand_v with_o the_o will_n of_o god_n may_v not_o we_o be_v ashamed_a to_o seek_v can_v not_o enjoy_v with_o the_o favour_n of_o thy_o god_n again_o we_o see_v that_o albeit_o there_o be_v one_o end_n of_o all_o the_o child_n of_o god_n manner_n for_o at_o length_n they_o shâ—ll_v other_o again_o must_v leave_v their_o body_n behind_o they_o till_o the_o resurrection_n and_o this_o last_o suppose_v our_o nature_n abhor_v it_o we_o must_v learn_v to_o be_v content_a with_o it_o even_o to_o be_v break_v with_o the_o dolour_n of_o death_n as_o other_o godly_a mâ—n_z yea_o and_o our_o bless_a saviour_n have_v be_v before_o we_o esteem_v it_o comfort_v sufficient_a for_o we_o 14.13_o that_o we_o die_v in_o the_o lord_n and_o so_o be_v sure_a to_o rest_v from_o our_o labour_n but_o of_o this_o we_o have_v speak_v before_o ver._n 4._o for_o we_o that_o be_v in_o this_o to_o be_v inquire_v body_n see_v the_o apostle_n phil._n 1._o affirm_v that_o he_o desire_v to_o be_v dissolve_v and_o to_o be_v with_o christ_n and_o again_o cry_v out_o rom._n 7.6_o miserable_a desire_v not_o to_o want_v the_o body_n it_o be_v not_o for_o love_v of_o sin_n in_o the_o body_n nor_o â—or_a aâ—y_a contentmenth_n have_v to_o be_v absent_a from_o câ—â—ist_n for_o afterward_o consider_v he_o can_v not_o both_o abide_v in_o the_o body_n and_o dwell_v with_o the_o lord_n too_o he_o resolve_v willing_o to_o remove_v out_o of_o the_o body_n that_o he_o may_v dwell_v with_o the_o lord_n so_o than_o the_o deire_n he_o have_v to_o keep_v still_o the_o body_n be_v upon_o a_o two_o fold_v condition_n first_o that_o sin_n and_o mortality_n wear_v not_o in_o it_o but_o utter_o swallow_v up_o of_o that_o life_n and_o next_o that_o in_o the_o body_n he_o be_v transport_v to_o abide_v and_o dwell_v with_o jesus_n christ._n in_o holy_a scripture_n we_o find_v that_o there_o thing_n have_v move_v god_n child_n to_o wish_v a_o delay_n of_o death_n respect_n the_o first_o be_v want_n of_o preparation_n in_o themselves_o for_o the_o godly_a be_v nor_o always_o in_o that_o estate_n of_o life_n 〈◊〉_d wherein_o they_o dare_v be_v bold_a to_o die_v and_o then_o they_o desire_v a_o prorogation_n of_o their_o life_n 39.13_o as_o dâ—uid_n do_v stay_v a_o little_a that_o i_o who_o be_v no_o other_o way_n waken_v with_o all_o this_o work_n of_o god_n than_o saul_n be_v with_o the_o work_n of_o david_n for_o it_o wrought_v in_o he_o a_o temporal_a repentance_n and_o no_o more_o incontinent_a he_o return_v to_o his_o old_a sin_n &_o no_o better_o be_v it_o with_o many_o of_o we_o â—or_a a_o while_n after_o our_o recovery_n from_o sickness_n or_o deliverance_n out_o of_o other_o trouble_n we_o be_v somewhat_o religious_a but_o short_o after_o our_o repentance_n vanish_v like_o the_o morning_n dew_n and_o we_o return_v again_o to_o our_o old_a manner_n ambassador_n as_o the_o sow_n to_o the_o puddle_n and_o the_o dog_n to_o his_o vomit_n this_o be_v but_o to_o abuse_v the_o time_n of_o god_n patience_n where_o it_o be_v better_o for_o we_o to_o do_v as_o do_v the_o ambassador_n of_o david_n who_o be_v abve_v by_o the_o king_n of_o ammon_n who_o cut_v their_o garment_n to_o their_o hip_n &_o shave_v their_o beard_n at_o the_o counsel_n of_o david_n their_o king_n tarry_v still_o in_o jericho_n the_o border_n of_o their_o land_n till_o their_o beard_n be_v grow_v again_o and_o their_o garment_n be_v prepare_v for_o they_o so_o we_o if_o we_o follow_v the_o â—_z of_o our_o king_n and_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n shall_v tarry_v here_o upon_o earth_n which_o to_o the_o godly_a be_v the_o border_n of_o heavenly_a canaan_n for_o no_o other_o end_n but_o that_o the_o shame_n which_o satan_n hathdone_v we_o by_o deform_v our_o face_n in_o spoil_v we_o of_o the_o image_n of_o god_n may_v be_v take_v from_o we_o and_o therefore_o it_o â—hould_v â—ee_o far_o from_o us._n to_o make_v oâ—r_a shame_n any_o more_o by_o new_a sin_n but_o rather_o by_o growth_n in_o godliness_n to_o recover_v again_o our_o former_a image_n otherway_v if_o be_v clad_v with_o our_o body_n on_o earth_n â—e_n pray_v god_n to_o relieve_v he_o of_o the_o heavy_a sickness_n undeâ—_n which_o he_o lay_v and_o this_o same_o also_o make_v the_o holy_a apostle_n convince_v thâ—_n blockish_a stupidity_n of_o many_o who_o god_n have_v suffer_v to_o live_v but_o they_o do_v no_o more_o praise_v he_o nor_o if_o they_o be_v dead_a and_o bury_v and_o the_o thiâ—d_o this_o reason_n the_o apostle_n touch_v here_o in_o the_o subsequent_a word_n while_o he_o say_v because_o we_o will_v not_o be_v unclothe_v for_o herein_o he_o declare_v that_o the_o cause_n why_o with_o sigh_v he_o desire_v to_o be_v clothe_v with_o his_o hoâ—se_n which_o be_v from_o heaven_n be_v not_o any_o mislike_v he_o have_v of_o the_o body_n for_o he_o protest_v now_o if_o it_o may_v please_v the_o lord_n he_o desire_v not_o to_o want_v it_o and_o this_o desire_n in_o itself_o be_v not_o evil_a itself_o otherway_v it_o can_v not_o be_v in_o those_o soul_n which_o be_v glorify_v in_o heaven_n for_o even_o they_o long_v for_o their_o body_n as_o be_v imperfect_a without_o they_o for_o by_o the_o first_o creation_n â—s_v i_o say_v they_o be_v make_v companion_n and_o therefore_o the_o one_o of_o they_o without_o the_o other_o can_v rest_v in_o contentment_n the_o body_n without_o the_o soul_n it_o be_v as_o we_o see_v but_o a_o dead_a stock_n or_o carrion_n of_o flesh_n whatsoever_o thing_n be_v pleasant_a in_o the_o body_n be_v it_o quickness_n of_o sense_n agility_n colour_n or_o beauty_n it_o have_v it_o all_o of_o the_o presence_n of_o the_o soul_n in_o it_o the_o soul_n again_o suppose_v glorify_v in_o heaven_n yet_o rest_v not_o in_o full_a contentment_n till_o it_o be_v reunite_v again_o with_o the_o body_n deum_fw-la declare_v thereby_o that_o without_o it_o it_o can_v be_v perfect_v consortium_fw-la enim_fw-la carnis_fw-la spiritus_fw-la non_fw-la requireret_fw-la si_fw-la absque_fw-la illa_fw-la consummaretur_fw-la the_o soul_n will_v not_o desire_v the_o fellowship_n of_o flesh_n if_o without_o it_o it_o can_v be_v perfect_v but_o god_n have_v so_o provide_v that_o soul_n without_o their_o body_n ibid._n nec_fw-la velint_fw-la nec_fw-la valeant_fw-la consummari_fw-la neither_o will_v nor_o can_v be_v consummate_a and_o therefore_o be_v it_o that_o the_o soul_n while_o they_o have_v their_o body_n desire_v not_o to_o want_v they_o and_o while_o they_o want_v they_o be_v not_o content_a till_o again_o they_o receive_v they_o and_o of_o all_o this_o we_o be_v warn_v willingness_n what_o great_a need_n we_o have_v to_o prepare_v ourselves_o in_o time_n with_o willingness_n to_o remove_v out_o of_o the_o body_n for_o since_o the_o apostle_n protest_v that_o it_o be_v grevous_a to_o he_o to_o suffer_v the_o want_n of_o his_o body_n we_o may_v easy_o think_v that_o in_o regard_n of_o our_o great_a infirmity_n it_o will_v be_v much_o more_o grievous_a unto_o we_o and_o therefore_o be_v we_o to_o endeavour_n by_o grace_n to_o make_v ourselves_o willing_a to_o die_v since_o by_o nature_n we_o be_v so_o unwilling_a to_o it_o and_o to_o this_o end_n let_v we_o reverence_v the_o work_n of_o our_o god_n pain_n who_o season_v the_o pleasure_n of_o our_o life_n with_o many_o pain_n and_o give_v we_o much_o bitterness_n as_o nahomi_n speak_v of_o herself_o to_o abate_v the_o comfort_n of_o our_o beauty_n while_o as_o by_o heavy_a trouble_n &_o cross_n he_o make_v our_o life_n unpleasant_a and_o our_o body_n a_o burden_n to_o ourselves_o this_o the_o lord_n do_v for_o no_o other_o end_n but_o that_o we_o may_v be_v make_v content_a willing_o to_o quit_v our_o body_n for_o a_o time_n whereas_o other_o way_n if_o they_o continue_v in_o their_o vigour_n and_o health_n we_o will_v be_v loath_a to_o want_v they_o that_o mortality_n may_v be_v swallow_v up_o body_n the_o apostle_n make_v clear_a in_o these_o word_n that_o which_o he_o have_v speak_v before_o obscure_o he_o wish_v so_o to_o enter_v into_o life_n if_o it_o may_v please_v the_o lord_n that_o he_o go_v not_o to_o it_o by_o the_o way_n of_o mortality_n but_o so_o that_o mortality_n may_v be_v swallow_v up_o of_o that_o life_n he_o desire_v not_o then_o to_o keep_v still_o the_o body_n and_o sin_n and_o death_n in_o the_o body_n this_o be_v to_o put_v on_o a_o garment_n of_o immortality_n upon_o the_o rot_a rag_n of_o mortal_a flesh_n this_o be_v to_o desire_v to_o be_v glorious_a without_o while_o in_o the_o mean_a time_n filthy_a rottenness_n and_o corruption_n be_v within_o the_o apostle_n crave_v no_o such_o thing_n neither_o indeed_o can_v any_o such_o thing_n be_v but_o his_o desire_n be_v so_o to_o have_v his_o body_n preserve_v and_o translate_v into_o that_o life_n that_o sin_n in_o the_o body_n be_v and_o mortality_n flow_v from_o sin_n be_v swallow_v up_o in_o such_o sort_n that_o no_o footestep_n neither_o of_o the_o one_o nor_o of_o the_o other_o be_v remain_v in_o the_o body_n and_o this_o desire_n
