and_o sure_a faith_n be_v the_o evidence_n of_o thing_n not_o see_v and_o it_o work_v upon_o the_o heart_n and_o soul_n use_v therefore_o we_o shall_v labour_v to_o clear_v this_o eye_n of_o the_o soul_n that_o we_o may_v behold_v the_o glory_n of_o god_n in_o the_o glass_n of_o the_o gospel_n quest._n how_o shall_v we_o have_v the_o eye_n of_o our_o soul_n fit_a to_o behold_v the_o glory_n of_o god_n answ._n we_o must_v fix_v the_o eye_n of_o the_o soul_n fix_v our_o mediation_n upon_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n clear_a and_o the_o excellency_n of_o christ_n a_o move_a object_n roll_a eye_n see_v nothing_o therefore_o we_o must_v set_v some_o time_n apart_o to_o fix_v our_o meditation_n upon_o these_o excellent_a thing_n in_o the_o gospel_n then_o again_o hindrance_n we_o must_v labour_v to_o have_v the_o hindrance_n remoove_v both_o within_o and_o without_o sight_n within_o inward_a be_v hinder_v by_o some_o inward_a suffusion_n we_o must_v labour_v that_o the_o soul_n be_v cleanse_v and_o purge_v from_o all_o carnal_a passion_n and_o desire_n and_o base_a humour_n that_o we_o may_v clear_o behold_v this_o spiritual_a object_n unless_o the_o soul_n be_v spiritual_a it_o can_v never_o behold_v spiritual_a thing_n the_o bodily_a eye_n can_v apprehend_v rational_a thing_n nor_o the_o rational_a eye_n behold_v not_o spiritual_a thing_n therefore_o there_o must_v be_v a_o shall_v be_v a_o end_n of_o all_o alteration_n so_o we_o see_v that_o god_n intend_v by_o his_o spirit_n to_o bring_v we_o to_o perfection_n though_o by_o little_a and_o little_a to_o perfection_n of_o glory_n as_o far_o as_o our_o nature_n be_v capable_a and_o this_o shall_v be_v at_o the_o latter_a day_n quest._n why_o not_o before_o why_o not_o in_o this_o world_n ans._n belove_a we_o be_v not_o capable_a here_o of_o that_o fullness_n of_o glory_n here_o saint_n peter_n on_o the_o mount_n have_v but_o a_o glimpse_n of_o the_o glory_n of_o heaven_n and_o he_o be_v spiritual_o drink_v so_o every_o day_n we_o live_v bring_v we_o near_o to_o heaven_n that_o as_o we_o decay_n in_o the_o life_n of_o nature_n every_o day_n so_o we_o grow_v up_o another_o way_n from_o glory_n to_o glory_n till_o we_o come_v to_o perfect_a glory_n in_o heaven_n be_v not_o this_o a_o sweet_a comfort_n let_v we_o comfort_v ourselves_o with_o these_o thing_n use_v 3_o again_o if_o the_o state_n of_o god_n people_n be_v thus_o sweet_a and_o comfortable_a and_o full_a of_o well_o ground_a hope_n that_o glory_n shall_v go_v further_o on_o to_o glory_n and_o end_n in_o glory_n then_o why_o the_o life_n of_o glory_n what_o that_o glory_n shall_v be_v at_o that_o day_n it_o it_o be_v a_o part_n of_o that_o glory_n to_o know_v for_o indeed_o it_o be_v beyond_o expression_n and_o beyond_o the_o glory_n of_o heaven_n be_v then_o shall_v we_o think_v then_o of_o our_o former_a misery_n and_o baseness_n and_o trouble_v and_o persecution_n oh_o no._n use_v 4_o again_o let_v we_o be_v
