they_o carry_v the_o body_n with_o they_o and_o violent_o tear_v it_o in_o piece_n and_o each_o tree_n carry_v with_o it_o his_o part_n into_o the_o air_n in_o nicomedia_n among_o other_o innumerable_a martyr_n one_o be_v beat_v so_o long_o till_o his_o white_a rib_n appear_v through_o his_o bloody_a wound_n tyrdome_n for_o the_o scourge_n and_o whip_n have_v piecemeal_o pull_v away_o the_o flesh_n then_o they_o wash_v his_o whole_a body_n with_o most_o strong_a vinegar_n &_o after_o vinegar_n stuff_v all_o his_o wound_n full_a of_o salt_n the_o tyrant_n not_o yet_o satisfy_v with_o these_o dire_a discruciatement_n and_o extreme_a torture_n when_o they_o see_v that_o the_o martyr_n yet_o breathe_v they_o cast_v his_o half_a dead_a body_n upon_o a_o gridyron_n under_o which_o they_o make_v a_o fierce_a scorch_a fire_n hale_v the_o gridyron_n this_o way_n and_o that_o with_o their_o iron_n hook_n until_o the_o body_n be_v full_o roast_v the_o sanctify_a &_o neither_o do_v look_v for_o another_o glory_n then_o that_o we_o look_v for_o proceed_v therefore_o if_o they_o have_v obtain_v eternal_a life_n by_o so_o violent_a death_n why_o shall_v we_o fear_v for_o the_o same_o cause_n at_o the_o least_o to_o mortify_v the_o evil_a concupiscence_n of_o our_o flesh_n if_o they_o die_v through_o hunger_n will_v not_o thou_o fast_v one_o day_n if_o they_o why_o will_v not_o thou_o a_o little_a be_v contain_v and_o shut_v up_o in_o thy_o chamber_n if_o they_o have_v not_o refuse_v to_o have_v their_o shoulder_n furrow_v and_o mangle_v with_o whip_n and_o scourge_n why_o will_v not_o thou_o chastise_v thou_o if_o these_o example_n do_v not_o suffice_v thou_o lift_v up_o thy_o eye_n to_o the_o cross_n of_o christ_n and_o behold_v who_o be_v he_o that_o hang_v upon_o it_o suffer_v so_o great_a and_o so_o cruel_a thing_n for_o the_o love_n of_o thou_o the_o apostle_n say_v consider_v he_o that_o endure_v such_o speak_n against_o of_o sinner_n courage_n may_v be_v put_v into_o his_o soldier_n see_v their_o captain_n to_o be_v so_o cruel_o and_o inhumane_o handle_v and_o entreat_v who_o then_o will_v be_v so_o ingrateful_a wicked_a proud_a and_o impudent_a who_o see_v the_o lord_n of_o majesty_n with_o all_o his_o friend_n and_o choose_a one_o to_o walk_v such_o difficult_a way_n and_o yet_o he_o himself_o will_v be_v carry_v in_o a_o horselitter_n and_o on_o a_o bed_n of_o down_o &_o lead_v his_o life_n in_o deliciousnes_n king_n david_n command_v urias_n who_o he_o have_v call_v from_o war_n to_o go_v into_o his_o own_o house_n commodity_n to_o be_v find_v in_o this_o world_n although_o it_o be_v great_a which_o may_v compare_v with_o the_o excellency_n of_o virtue_n as_o also_o there_o be_v no_o loss_n or_o discommodity_n famous_a doctor_n say_v if_o the_o whole_a world_n be_v full_a of_o book_n and_o all_o creature_n writer_n and_o all_o the_o water_n of_o the_o sea_n ink_n first_o all_o the_o book_n shall_v be_v fill_v first_o all_o the_o writer_n shall_v be_v weary_v and_o first_o all_o the_o sea_n shall_v be_v exhaust_v and_o draw_v dry_a than_o one_o alone_a of_o his_o perfection_n shall_v be_v describe_v absolute_o and_o as_o it_o be_v in_o deed_n and_o in_o itself_o the_o same_o doctor_n also_o say_v if_o god_n shall_v create_v a_o new_a man_n and_o shall_v give_v unto_o he_o a_o hart_n so_o ample_a give_v thou_o the_o lord_n shall_v make_v thou_o on_o holy_a people_n unto_o himself_o as_o he_o have_v swear_v unto_o thou_o if_o thou_o shall_v keep_v the_o commandment_n of_o the_o lord_n thy_o god_n and_o walk_v in_o his_o way_n and_o all_o nation_n of_o the_o earth_n shall_v see_v that_o the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n be_v call_v upon_o over_o thou_o and_o they_o shall_v be_v afraid_a of_o thou_o and_o the_o lord_n shall_v make_v thou_o plenteous_a in_o good_n in_o the_o fruit_n of_o thy_o body_n in_o the_o fruit_n of_o thy_o cattle_n and_o in_o the_o fruit_n of_o thy_o ground_n in_o the_o land_n which_o the_o lord_n swear_v unto_o thy_o father_n to_o give_v thou_o the_o lord_n shall_v open_v unto_o thou_o his_o good_a treasure_n the_o heaven_n to_o give_v rain_n unto_o thy_o land_n in_o due_a season_n and_o to_o bless_v all_o the_o labour_n of_o thy_o hand_n testament_n tell_v i_o what_o riches_n what_o treasure_n may_v be_v compare_v to_o these_o blessing_n but_o if_o thou_o shall_v say_v that_o these_o promise_n be_v rather_o make_v unto_o the_o jew_n then_o unto_o christian_n for_o unto_o these_o according_a to_o ezechiel_n those_o more_o excellent_a blessing_n as_o be_v the_o blessing_n of_o grace_n and_o of_o glory_n be_v promise_v yet_o as_o in_o that_o carnal_a law_n god_n do_v not_o deny_v to_o the_o righteous_a jews_n spiritual_a blessing_n so_o in_o the_o spiritual_a law_n he_o do_v not_o withdraw_v temporal_a prosperity_n from_o good_a christian_n yea_o he_o do_v give_v unto_o they_o temporal_a blessing_n and_o that_o with_o a_o double_a commodity_n neither_o of_o which_o the_o wicked_a have_v the_o first_o be_v because_o as_o a_o skilful_a physician_n he_o bestow_v these_o blessing_n upon_o they_o after_o that_o measure_n which_o their_o need_n require_v that_o by_o this_o way_n they_o may_v be_v relieve_v and_o not_o wax_v proud_a neither_o be_v fat_v and_o cram_a kick_n and_o spurn_v this_o commodity_n the_o wicked_a have_v not_o for_o they_o scrape_v together_o as_o much_o as_o they_o be_v able_a never_o regard_v their_o salvation_n when_o as_o notwithstanding_o the_o superfluity_n of_o temporal_a good_n be_v not_o less_o hurtful_a to_o the_o soul_n than_o that_o meat_n be_v to_o the_o body_n which_o can_v be_v by_o any_o mean_v digest_v similitude_n for_o although_o it_o be_v necessary_a and_o needful_a to_o eat_v for_o the_o relief_n and_o sustentation_n of_o the_o body_n yet_o superfluity_n of_o meat_n do_v very_o much_o hurt_v so_o although_o the_o life_n of_o man_n consist_v in_o the_o blood_n yet_o too_o much_o abundance_n of_o blood_n be_v the_o cause_n of_o death_n and_o oftentimes_o kill_v man_n the_o second_o commodity_n be_v because_o lesser_a pelse_n and_o a_o measurable_a and_o a_o indifferent_a possession_n of_o riches_n do_v bring_v great_a quietness_n and_o tranquillity_n unto_o the_o soul_n which_o be_v the_o end_n why_o man_n with_o such_o greediness_n desire_v temporal_a good_n for_o whatsoever_o god_n can_v do_v by_o second_o cause_n he_o can_v do_v it_o yea_o more_fw-it perfect_o by_o himself_o without_o those_o mean_n so_o have_v he_o do_v in_o all_o his_o saint_n in_o who_o name_n the_o apostle_n say_v 8._o have_v nothing_o and_o possess_v all_o thing_n for_o so_o little_a do_v suffice_v we_o that_o we_o have_v very_o little_a and_o be_v therewith_o content_a we_o seem_v unto_o ourselves_o to_o be_v the_o lord_n of_o the_o whole_a world_n similitude_n a_o traveler_n for_o his_o provision_n in_o his_o voyage_n carry_v his_o money_n in_o gold_n for_o so_o sufficient_a and_o that_o which_o may_v content_v they_o after_o this_o manner_n the_o righteous_a do_v go_v naked_a yet_o they_o be_v content_a they_o be_v poor_a and_o yet_o they_o be_v rich_a but_o the_o rich_a when_o they_o be_v full_a of_o wealth_n yet_o die_v for_o hunger_n and_o when_o as_o they_o sit_v even_o up_o to_o the_o lip_n in_o water_n yet_o they_o be_v slay_v with_o thirst_n as_o the_o poet_n in_o time_n past_o fable_v of_o tantalus_n for_o this_o and_o such_o like_a cause_n that_o great_a prophet_n long_o ago_o do_v praise_v the_o observance_n of_o the_o divine_a law_n will_v that_o in_o it_o all_o our_o meditation_n shall_v be_v for_o he_o know_v very_o well_o that_o in_o this_o all_o thing_n be_v fulfil_v these_o be_v his_o word_n 6._o seat_v all_o these_o word_n in_o eternal_a corporal_a and_o spiritual_a and_o he_o that_o have_v satisfy_v the_o law_n have_v fulfil_v all_o thing_n thou_o know_v very_o well_o all_o that_o a_o man_n do_v not_o loose_v his_o time_n when_o he_o be_v occupy_v in_o do_v god_n will_v yea_o then_o to_o labour_v in_o his_o own_o vineyard_n then_o to_o water_v his_o garden_n to_o till_o his_o field_n and_o to_o dispatch_v all_o his_o business_n better_o well_o then_o if_o he_o have_v labour_v with_o his_o own_o hand_n for_o he_o satisfy_v god_n will_v cast_v all_o his_o care_n upon_o god_n who_o finish_v all_o the_o rest_n for_o this_o be_v the_o law_n of_o the_o league_n and_o federacy_n which_o god_n make_v with_o man_n that_o man_n shall_v keep_v his_o commandment_n and_o god_n will_v provide_v all_o necessary_a thing_n
