apostle_n in_o who_o person_n the_o apostle_n speak_v though_o he_o himself_o be_v not_o concern_v with_o they_o who_o do_v sometime_o dream_v of_o be_v great_a in_o the_o world_n and_o share_v with_o christ_n in_o a_o earthly_a kingdom_n but_o now_o be_v better_o inform_v and_o attain_v to_o a_o high_a and_o more_o noble_a degree_n of_o spiritual_a understanding_n and_o affection_n they_o be_v crucify_v to_o those_o childish_a and_o carnal_a design_n and_o their_o consideration_n of_o christ_n in_o his_o glorify_a body_n and_o his_o exaltation_n in_o heaven_n at_o the_o father_n right-hand_n do_v raise_v their_o soul_n to_o a_o longing_n after_o a_o further_o and_o complete_a view_n of_o his_o glory_n and_o share_v with_o he_o in_o his_o heavenly_a kingdom_n this_o be_v contend_v that_o not_o only_o a_o false_a worship_n though_o of_o the_o true_a god_n be_v idolatry_n and_o by_o consequence_n that_o those_o who_o live_v in_o the_o practice_n of_o such_o a_o worship_n be_v idolater_n but_o also_o that_o any_o appendix_n to_o that_o worship_n of_o god_n which_o in_o the_o substance_n of_o it_o be_v true_a worship_n be_v also_o idolatry_n be_v of_o man_n invention_n and_o add_v by_o his_o own_o proper_a authority_n as_o a_o part_n of_o divine_a worship_n and_o that_o so_o do_v be_v a_o crime_n against_o the_o second_o commandment_n in_o the_o decalogue_n or_o ten_o word_n or_o commandment_n write_v in_o table_n of_o stone_n the_o proof_n of_o my_o charge_n against_o the_o quaker_n will_v not_o depend_v upon_o such_o nice_a and_o thing_n they_o say_v or_o reject_v any_o thing_n they_o impose_v a_o summary_n of_o the_o capital_a error_n and_o blasphemy_n of_o the_o quaker_n concern_v the_o godhead_n they_o deny_v a_o trinity_n of_o distinct_a person_n to_o subsist_v in_o the_o godhead_n they_o own_o the_o father_n son_n and_o holy_a ghost_n to_o be_v god_n under_o those_o distinct_a term_n yet_o deny_v either_o of_o they_o to_o have_v any_o relation_n or_o property_n incommunicable_a to_o each_o other_o they_o divide_v the_o divine_a be_v and_o godhead_n into_o measure_n and_o part_n concern_v the_o scripture_n they_o hold_v that_o the_o scripture_n be_v not_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o that_o christ_n only_o be_v the_o word_n of_o god_n that_o much_o of_o they_o be_v the_o word_n of_o god_n but_o those_o unless_o it_o be_v dictate_v to_o we_o or_o inspire_v into_o we_o by_o the_o spirit_n immediate_o as_o the_o prophet_n apostle_n and_o penman_n of_o the_o scripture_n receive_v it_o that_o those_o thing_n which_o be_v command_v to_o they_o and_o practise_v by_o they_o under_o the_o gospel_n or_o new-testament-administration_n be_v to_o commit_v idolatry_n and_o to_o offend_v god_n by_o make_v to_o ourselves_o grave_v image_n and_o likeness_n that_o to_o own_o and_o embrace_v the_o scripture_n for_o our_o rule_n be_v idolatry_n place_v they_o in_o the_o room_n of_o christ_n the_o light_n within_o concern_v christ._n they_o hold_v that_o the_o son_n of_o god_n be_v christ_n and_o also_o that_o the_o father_n or_o the_o spirit_n be_v christ_n as_o well_o as_o he_o that_o god_n or_o the_o godhead_n only_o be_v the_o christ_n that_o christ_n be_v not_o of_o the_o humane_a nature_n or_o man_n according_a to_o adam_n nature_n that_o the_o body_n of_o jesus_n the_o son_n of_o mary_n
