for_o the_o exercise_n and_o the_o trial_n of_o the_o good_a to_o make_v they_o strong_a in_o goodness_n and_o virtue_n or_o else_o for_o the_o chastysement_fw-mi and_o amendment_n of_o the_o evyll_n to_o suppress_v their_o evyll_n motyon_n and_o desire_n and_o also_o we_o pray_v that_o whansoever_o it_o shall_v please_v god_n to_o call_v we_o out_o of_o this_o transytorye_n life_n we_o may_v be_v willing_a to_o dye_v and_o that_o consyrm_v our_o will_n to_o the_o will_n of_o god_n we_o may_v take_v our_o death_n gladely_a so_o that_o by_o fear_n or_o 〈◊〉_d we_o be_v not_o make_v dysobedyent_n exposition_n or_o declaration_n of_o the_o four_o petition_n which_o be_v gyve_v we_o this_o day_n our_o daily_a bread_n after_o that_o in_o the_o three_o former_a petition_n we_o be_v orderly_o teach_v first_o to_o desire_n &_o pray_v for_o such_o thing_n as_o do_v concern_v god_n to_o gloryfye_v &_o hallowe_a his_o name_n second_o to_o desire_v and_o pray_v for_o the_o chief_a and_o principal_a bliss_n that_o man_n may_v have_v which_o be_v the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n and_o thirdelye_o to_o desire_v &_o pray_v for_o such_o chief_a mean_n by_o which_o that_o 〈◊〉_d bliss_n be_v obtain_v that_o be_v to_o say_v by_o the_o fulfylling_n here_o in_o earth_n of_o god_n will_v and_o pleasure_n now_o next_o and_o fourthly_a we_o be_v here_o teach_v to_o desire_v of_o god_n thing_n that_o be_v necessary_a for_o the_o food_n and_o 〈◊〉_d both_o of_o our_o body_n &_o also_o of_o our_o soul_n so_o long_o as_o we_o shall_v here_o 〈◊〉_d upon_o the_o earth_n and_o first_o as_o touching_n the_o sustenance_n of_o the_o body_n you_o shall_v note_v fyve_o thing_n in_o this_o petition_n the_o first_o be_v that_o our_o lord_n teach_v we_o in_o this_o petytyon_n not_o to_o ask_v any_o superfluous_a thing_n of_o pleasure_n and_o vain_a delight_n but_o only_a thing_n necessary_a &_o sufficient_a &_o there_o fore_o he_o biddith_v we_o ask_v only_o bread_n wherein_o be_v not_o mean_v 〈◊〉_d great_a substance_n or_o habundaunce_n of_o thing_n above_o our_o state_n &_o condition_n but_o such_o thing_n only_o as_o be_v necessary_a for_o every_o man_n in_o his_o degree_n that_o it_o shall_v be_v one_o ordinary_a &_o daily_a manner_n of_o sustenance_n 〈◊〉_d &_o trade_n of_o live_v &_o nether_a inordinat_a nor_o excessive_a and_o therefore_o if_o we_o chrysten_v man_n have_v meat_n and_o drink_v and_o cloth_n that_o be_v to_o say_v thing_n suffycyente_a let_v we_o hold_v ourselves_o content_a for_o they_o that_o set_v there_o mind_n on_o riches_n and_o will_v have_v superfluity_n more_o than_o need_v or_o be_v expedyent_n to_o there_o vocatyon_n they_o fall_v into_o daungerouse_a temptatyon_n and_o into_o snare_n of_o the_o devyll_n and_o into_o many_o unprofytable_a and_o noisome_a desire_n which_o drown_v man_n into_o perdityon_n and_o everlasting_a 〈◊〉_d for_o the_o spring_n and_o root_n of_o all_o evylls_n be_v such_o superfluous_a desire_n the_o wyseman_n also_o make_v his_o petition_n to_o our_o lord_n proverb_n 35._o say_v gyve_v i_o neither_o poverty_n nor_o excess_n but_o only_a thing_n sufficient_a for_o my_o live_n lest_o that_o have_v to_o much_o i_o be_v provoke_v to_o deny_v god_n and_o to_o forget_v who_o be_v the_o lord_n and_o on_o the_o other_o side_n lest_o that_o by_o poverty_n constrain_v i_o fall_v into_o theft_n and_o forswear_v the_o name_n of_o my_o god_n whereby_o be_v declare_v that_o we_o shall_v desire_v only_a thing_n necessary_a signify_v here_o by_o bread_n and_o refuse_v and_o renounce_v superfluity_n unprofitable_a dangerous_a and_o noisome_a the_o second_o thing_n to_o be_v consider_v in_o this_o petiti_fw-la on_o is_z that_o we_o do_v desire_v and_o pray_v not_o absolutelye_o for_o bread_n but_o we_o do_v desire_v and_o pray_v for_o our_o bread_n by_o which_o word_n appear_v that_o that_o bread_n only_o be_v we_o which_o we_o do_v get_v by_o true_a just_a honest_a and_o lawful_a mean_n for_o if_o we_o do_v get_v aught_o by_o deceit_n fraud_n craft_n or_o any_o unlawful_a or_o 〈◊〉_d way_n that_o be_v in_o no_o wise_a we_o but_o other_o man_n so_o that_o in_o this_o word_n our_o be_v most_o evidentlye_o employ_v and_o contain_v a_o great_a reproach_n to_o all_o those_o person_n which_o eat_v not_o their_o own_o bread_n but_o devour_v other_o man_n bread_n of_o which_o sort_n be_v all_o those_o that_o live_v of_o theft_n robbery_n ravyne_fw-mi and_o spoil_n extortion_n or_o craft_n and_o deceit_n they_z also_o be_v of_o this_o sort_n who_o neither_o do_v labour_n with_o their_o hand_n nor_o otherwise_o apply_v their_o study_n their_o industry_n or_o diligence_n to_o some_o thing_n which_o may_v be_v good_a and_o profitable_a to_o the_o common_a wealth_n and_o to_o the_o honour_n of_o god_n but_o do_v live_v in_o case_n rest_n ydelnes_n and_o wanton_a pleasure_n they_z likewise_o be_v of_o this_o sort_n and_o worthy_a therefore_o to_o be_v reprove_v who_o be_v in_o any_o room_n or_o vocation_n of_o authority_n or_o service_n do_v not_o full_o true_o and_o faithful_o fulfil_v and_o perform_v the_o duty_n of_o their_o vocation_n the_o third_o thing_n
