murder_n drunkenness_n gluttony_n and_o such_o like_a and_o afterward_o protest_v that_o they_o which_o commit_v these_o thing_n shall_v not_o inherit_v the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n let_v we_o then_o beware_v of_o delay_v of_o this_o amendment_n lest_o in_o a_o matter_n of_o such_o importance_n we_o be_v surprise_v we_o have_v not_o two_o soul_n that_o we_o may_v hazard_v one_o if_o the_o day_n of_o death_n find_v we_o a_o sleep_n in_o our_o sin_n woe_n be_v unto_o we_o let_v we_o remember_v the_o say_n of_o s._n peter_n the_o end_n of_o all_o thing_n draw_v near_o 4._o 1._o pet_n 4._o be_v you_o therefore_o sober_a and_o watchful_a in_o prayer_n every_o of_o we_o shall_v in_o our_o death_n find_v this_o end_n of_o all_o thing_n and_o indeed_o let_v we_o look_v upon_o a_o rich_a man_n wherein_o then_o even_o in_o thing_n appertain_v to_o this_o present_a life_n 7.29_o 1._o cor._n 7.29_o by_o practise_v this_o admonition_n of_o s._n paul_n and_o this_o i_o say_v brethren_n because_o the_o time_n be_v short_a hereafter_o that_o both_o they_o which_o have_v wine_n be_v as_o though_o they_o have_v none_o and_o they_o that_o weep_v as_o though_o they_o weep_v not_o and_o they_o that_o rejoice_v as_o though_o they_o rejoice_v not_o and_o they_o that_o buy_v as_o though_o they_o possess_v not_o and_o they_o that_o use_v this_o world_n as_o though_o they_o use_v it_o not_o for_o the_o fashion_n of_o this_o world_n go_v away_o and_o i_o will_v have_v you_o without_o care_n here_o do_v he_o show_v that_o the_o sobriety_n whereto_o s._n peter_n exhort_v we_o do_v 21.34_o that_o your_o heart_n be_v not_o overcome_v with_o gluttony_n and_o drunkenness_n neither_o with_o the_o care_n of_o this_o life_n he_o do_v sufficient_o declare_v that_o there_o be_v another_o kind_n of_o drunkenness_n then_o either_o with_o beer_n or_o wine_n and_o that_o be_v when_o the_o care_n for_o the_o thing_n of_o this_o life_n whether_o of_o war_n or_o merchandise_n or_o of_o land_n and_o possession_n of_o wife_n or_o of_o child_n do_v so_o feaze_v upon_o and_o entangle_v our_o mind_n and_o affection_n that_o we_o be_v divert_v &_o let_v from_o that_o which_o be_v require_v for_o the_o service_n of_o god_n and_o the_o salvation_n of_o our_o soul_n if_o a_o man_n rise_v in_o the_o morning_n and_o go_v to_o the_o tavern_n and_o tarry_v there_o all_o day_n and_o at_o night_n come_v home_o drink_v and_o so_o again_o the_o next_o day_n and_o the_o next_o and_o all_o the_o week_n long_o and_o never_o think_v upon_o his_o family_n but_o let_v his_o wife_n and_o his_o child_n sit_v starve_a at_o home_n will_v we_o not_o say_v that_o he_o be_v a_o drunkard_n and_o in_o case_n he_o continue_v this_o course_n a_o month_n or_o two_o will_v we_o not_o report_v of_o he_o as_o of_o a_o perfect_a and_o desperate_a drunkard_n what_o shall_v we_o then_o say_v of_o those_o that_o do_v so_o set_v their_o heart_n and_o mind_n upon_o the_o affair_n of_o this_o life_n that_o so_o soon_o as_o they_o be_v up_o in_o the_o morning_n they_o be_v present_o at_o the_o tavern_n of_o those_o care_n wherein_o they_o delight_v and_o whereto_o they_o so_o give_v themselves_o that_o they_o care_v neither_o for_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n the_o service_n of_o god_n nor_o the_o salvation_n of_o their_o own_o soul_n which_o be_v more_o during_o this_o repast_n at_o home_n their_o mind_n be_v in_o their_o tavern_n yea_o and_o which_o be_v worse_o whether_o they_o speak_v to_o god_n in_o their_o prayer_n or_o that_o god_n talk_v to_o they_o by_o sermon_n their_o mind_n be_v so_o wander_v that_o immediate_o they_o be_v in_o this_o tavern_n of_o worldly_a care_n and_o affair_n and_o that_o so_o deep_o that_o they_o neither_o hear_v god_n speak_v to_o they_o neither_o wot_v what_o themselves_o do_v say_v to_o he_o for_o there_o be_v no_o more_o but_o the_o body_n that_o speak_v or_o hear_v even_o a_o body_n as_o it_o be_v without_o a_o soul_n for_o their_o mind_n be_v in_o their_o tavern_n if_o they_o then_o follow_v this_o course_n not_o one_o month_n or_o six_o or_o ten_o neither_o one_o year_n but_o ten_o twenty_o thirty_o yea_o even_o to_o the_o death_n may_v we_o not_o well_o call_v they_o perfect_a drunkard_n likewise_o as_o to_o that_o tavern_n that_o bear_v the_o name_n to_o have_v the_o best_a drink_n or_o wine_n the_o drunkard_n will_v soon_o resort_v as_o seek_v occasion_n to_o be_v drink_v so_o these_o spiritual_a drunkard_n do_v seek_v after_o town_n and_o place_n of_o most_o practice_n where_o there_o be_v great_a doing_n which_o breed_v increase_v of_o care_n that_o likewise_o they_o may_v be_v the_o more_o drunken_a in_o they_o 11_o this_o be_v a_o excessive_a and_o most_o pernicious_a drunkenness_n yet_o over_o common_a among_o christian_n and_o therefore_o let_v every_o man_n examine_v himself_o that_o know_v it_o he_o may_v amend_v and_o indeed_o since_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n do_v daily_o approach_v to_o the_o faithful_a by_o death_n we_o be_v in_o duty_n to_o beware_v according_a to_o christ_n admonition_n that_o our_o heart_n be_v not_o overcome_v with_o this_o drunkenness_n of_o care_n lest_o that_o day_n overtake_v
