wickedness_n because_o god_n be_v merciful_a and_o gracious_a for_o he_o be_v also_o equal_o write_v to_o be_v just_a and_o holy_a and_o a_o god_n visit_v the_o iniquity_n of_o the_o father_n upon_o the_o child_n and_o upon_o their_o child_n child_n unto_o the_o three_o and_o four_o generation_n exod._n 34.7_o oh_o belove_a cause_o ignorant_a soul_n to_o know_v and_o consider_v if_o god_n be_v 20._o and_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v when_o he_o hear_v the_o word_n of_o this_o curse_n that_o he_o bless_v himself_o in_o his_o heart_n say_v i_o shall_v have_v peace_n though_o i_o walk_v in_o the_o come_v and_o never_o to_o alter_v or_o change_v the_o state_n and_o happiness_n of_o such_o soul_n to_o all_o eternity_n jer._n 31.31_o 32._o oh_o be_v exhort_v all_o you_o that_o be_v and_o will_v be_v account_v wise_a preacher_n thus_o to_o preach_v to_o your_o people_n and_o teach_v they_o this_o good_a knowledge_n of_o god_n both_o as_o just_a to_o all_o not_o in_o christ_n and_o merciful_a 4.12_o objection_n but_o some_o may_v possible_o say_v to_o i_o be_v it_o in_o the_o preacher_n power_n how_o wise_a soever_o to_o teach_v or_o infuse_v knowledge_n into_o the_o people_n be_v not_o this_o the_o peculiar_a prerogative_n of_o jesus_n christ_n to_o be_v eye_n to_o the_o blind_a and_o to_o give_v understanding_n to_o the_o simple_a and_o do_v not_o paul_n say_v he_o may_v plant_v and_o apollo_n water_n but_o god_n must_v give_v the_o increase_n prov._n 8.14_o 20._o 1_o cor._n 3.6_o and_o therefore_o why_o do_v you_o urge_v it_o on_o the_o preacher_n as_o his_o work_n and_o duty_n to_o distil_v and_o infuse_v knowledge_n into_o the_o people_n as_o if_o it_o be_v in_o his_o power_n to_o teach_v the_o people_n to_o know_v answer_v to_o this_o i_o answer_v doubtless_o and_o beyond_o a_o peradventure_o it_o be_v in_o every_o wise_a preacher_n power_n to_o do_v his_o duty_n which_o be_v thus_o to_o lay_v out_o himself_o to_o the_o utmost_a that_o the_o people_n may_v know_v and_o second_o every_o wise_a preacher_n and_o the_o most_o of_o preacher_n though_o wise_a may_v do_v more_o at_o this_o work_n than_o they_o do_v but_o 3_o though_o without_o divine_a concurrence_n and_o presence_n with_o they_o in_o the_o work_n their_o work_n will_v produce_v little_a yet_o if_o they_o work_v not_o diligent_o
