same_o cause_n to_o be_v our_o priest_n according_a to_o that_o truth_n in_o the_o begin_n of_o this_o disputation_n he_o call_v he_o our_o great_a high_a priest_n so_o he_o begin_v before_o the_o third_o chapter_n consider_v holy_a brethren_n the_o apostle_n and_o high_a priest_n of_o our_o profession_n not_o yet_o have_v particular_o speak_v of_o those_o office_n but_o call_v he_o by_o those_o name_n because_o according_a to_o the_o description_n of_o his_o person_n before_o make_v it_o must_v needs_o follow_v that_o he_o be_v both_o our_o priest_n and_o prophet_n another_o argument_n of_o his_o priesthood_n be_v that_o he_o be_v here_o in_o earth_n afflict_v as_o we_o be_v submit_v himself_o to_o death_n from_o which_o he_o be_v rise_v and_o now_o ascend_v into_o heaven_n therefore_o he_o be_v our_o priest_n crucify_v for_o our_o sin_n rise_v for_o our_o justification_n and_o make_v now_o intercession_n for_o we_o before_o god_n his_o father_n thus_o we_o see_v upon_o how_o good_a warrant_v the_o apostle_n in_o the_o beginning_n exhort_v they_o to_o acknowledge_v christ_n their_o priest_n and_o thus_o much_o touch_v this_o entrance_n of_o the_o apostle_n into_o this_o disputation_n and_o why_o he_o use_v such_o word_n now_o touch_v the_o matter_n to_o teach_v that_o our_o saviour_n christ_n be_v our_o only_a priest_n he_o first_o show_v by_o we_o may_v also_o with_o boldness_n approach_v unto_o god._n this_o excellency_n of_o christ_n and_o his_o high_a priesthood_n the_o apostle_n begin_v now_o to_o prove_v by_o compare_v together_o christ_n and_o aaron_n for_o like_a as_o when_o he_o speak_v of_o his_o prophecy_n because_o there_o be_v no_o prophet_n in_o israel_n so_o great_a as_o moses_n and_o to_o who_o god_n so_o familiar_o appear_v as_o unto_o moses_n therefore_o to_o prove_v the_o excellency_n of_o christ_n he_o compare_v he_o with_o moses_n so_o now_o in_o this_o matter_n of_o his_o priesthood_n because_o there_o be_v no_o priest_n comparable_a with_o aaron_n ordain_v of_o god_n as_o he_o be_v with_o so_o singular_a honour_n so_o great_a promise_n so_o much_o reverence_n of_o his_o people_n therefore_o he_o compare_v christ_n with_o aaron_n that_o by_o the_o difference_n it_o may_v more_o clear_o appear_v that_o christ_n both_o must_v needs_o be_v a_o high_a priest_n and_o in_o honour_n alone_o far_o above_o all_o other_o he_o begin_v his_o comparison_n thus_o for_o every_o high_a priest_n be_v take_v from_o among_o man_n and_o be_v ordain_v for_o man_n in_o thing_n pertain_v to_o god_n that_o be_v those_o which_o be_v priest_n after_o the_o order_n of_o aaron_n first_o in_o nature_n be_v their_o brethren_n man_n like_v unto_o themselves_o subject_a to_o all_o infirmity_n which_o the_o people_n be_v subject_a unto_o have_v nothing_o in_o themselves_o wherein_o especial_o to_o rejoice_v but_o be_v like_a unto_o other_o man_n again_o they_o execute_v their_o office_n and_o do_v the_o law_n which_o be_v after_o the_o order_n of_o aaron_n the_o apostle_n add_v in_o the_o second_o verse_n in_o these_o word_n which_o be_v able_a sufficient_o to_o have_v compassion_n on_o they_o which_o be_v ignorant_a and_o out_o of_o the_o way_n this_o property_n here_o spo_z ken_v of_o be_v compassion_n in_o feel_v the_o sin_n and_o error_n of_o the_o people_n as_o if_o they_o be_v his_o own_o and_o have_v a_o continual_a care_n how_o to_o instruct_v they_o and_o teach_v they_o in_o the_o right_a way_n that_o they_o may_v cast_v from_o they_o all_o this_o corruption_n and_o be_v reconcile_v unto_o god_n after_o this_o he_o show_v the_o cause_n why_o this_o compassion_n be_v in_o he_o and_o how_o he_o be_v make_v so_o love_v because_o that_o he_o also_o be_v compass_v with_o infirmity_n that_o be_v have_v experience_n in_o his_o own_o flesh_n how_o prove_v they_o be_v to_o sin_n how_o subject_a to_o tentation_n how_o soon_o seduce_v from_o good_a to_o evil_a and_o how_o ready_a to_o fall_v from_o life_n to_o death_n of_o which_o infirmity_n he_o be_v so_o partaker_n that_o the_o smart_n and_o sting_n of_o they_o be_v in_o his_o own_o flesh_n and_o daily_o he_o be_v wound_v with_o his_o own_o concupiscence_n to_o do_v the_o thing_n that_o he_o will_v not_o and_o therefore_o grieve_v with_o himself_o and_o have_v pity_n on_o his_o brethren_n he_o willing_o execute_v his_o priest_n office_n and_o do_v it_o glad_o which_o he_o find_v by_o experience_n must_v be_v do_v of_o necessity_n or_o no_o flesh_n shall_v be_v save_v and_o offer_v sacrifice_n in_o accesie_n or_o entrance_n unto_o god_n but_o by_o a_o mediator_n the_o lord_n will_v not_o then_o receive_v the_o people_n gift_n their_o offering_n their_o vow_n their_o prayer_n their_o thanks_n give_v what_o so_o ever_o it_o be_v no_o man_n in_o israel_n be_v he_o never_o so_o holy_a have_v his_o access_n unto_o god_n but_o by_o a_o mediator_n nor_o he_o offer_v any_o thing_n unto_o god_n
