have_v a_o moral_a truth_n in_o they_o it_o be_v not_o false_a but_o true_a which_o they_o conceive_v yet_o there_o be_v no_o firmness_n and_o solidity_n in_o the_o act_n and_o so_o they_o do_v not_o effectual_o apprehend_v they_o nothing_o more_o easy_a more_o common_a and_o more_o dangerous_a then_o to_o make_v a_o religion_n either_o of_o name_n and_o word_n which_o he_o that_o use_v do_v not_o that_o be_v within_o our_o reach_n to_o a_o use_n so_o contrary_a to_o that_o which_o it_o be_v appoint_v to_o as_o foolish_a worldling_n do_v not_o only_o to_o lose_v that_o use_n and_o benefit_n of_o the_o creature_n which_o we_o may_v have_v but_o to_o turn_v all_o into_o poison_n and_o death_n to_o ourselves_o not_o only_o to_o rob_v god_n of_o that_o love_n and_o honour_n and_o service_n which_o they_o shall_v procure_v he_o but_o also_o to_o turn_v all_o this_o upon_o themselves_o i_o tell_v you_o this_o will_v prove_v no_o venial_a sin_n 5._o and_o your_o gild_n herein_o be_v retain_v it_o yea_o and_o wilful_o maintain_v it_o against_o the_o persuasion_n of_o god_n and_o man_n do_v not_o this_o proclaim_v that_o you_o be_v wilful_a sinner_n and_o that_o you_o know_v you_o hinder_v or_o hazard_v and_o will_v you_o love_v and_o long_a for_o that_o which_o be_v a_o enemy_n to_o it_o i_o think_v the_o way_n to_o heaven_n be_v hard_a enough_o to_o the_o best_a they_o need_v not_o make_v it_o hard_o than_o it_o be_v and_o be_v at_o so_o much_o labour_v all_o their_o life_n to_o make_v themselves_o more_o enemy_n and_o more_o work_n and_o to_o block_n up_o the_o way_n while_o they_o pretend_v to_o walk_v in_o it_o o_o the_o hypocrisy_n of_o a_o carnal_a heart_n how_o notorious_o do_v man_n life_n contradict_v their_o tongue_n when_o they_o will_v call_v the_o world_n their_o enemy_n and_o vow_v to_o fight_v against_o it_o to_o the_o death_n and_o at_o the_o same_o time_n will_v labour_v for_o it_o and_o greedy_o desire_v it_o as_o if_o they_o can_v never_o so_o much_o to_o the_o poor_a as_o they_o will_v spend_v at_o one_o feast_n in_o the_o entertainment_n of_o their_o like_a or_o so_o much_o as_o they_o will_v venture_v on_o one_o horse-race_n or_o one_o game_n at_o dice_n or_o card_n or_o bowl_n but_o these_o be_v not_o they_o that_o i_o have_v now_o to_o deal_v with_o and_o therefore_o i_o shall_v speak_v to_o they_o in_o the_o preface_n more_o full_o it_o be_v those_o that_o confess_v they_o have_v all_o from_o god_n and_o that_o have_v verbal_o devote_v all_o to_o he_o again_o and_o profess_v themselves_o entire_o his_o servant_n that_o i_o have_v now_o in_o hand_n and_o with_o such_o one_o will_v think_v a_o few_o word_n may_v serve_v to_o persuade_v they_o to_o lay_v down_o all_o at_o his_o foot_n and_o to_o give_v to_o impartial_o in_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n whether_o you_o make_v a_o equal_a distribution_n and_o when_o you_o have_v cast_v up_o what_o your_o flesh_n have_v by_o the_o year_n and_o what_o be_v lay_v up_o for_o the_o like_a use_n for_o the_o future_a for_o yourselves_o and_o you_o and_o then_o what_o god_n have_v in_o pious_a and_o charitable_a work_n bethink_v yourselves_o whether_o you_o deal_v wise_o or_o honest_o with_o he_o and_o whether_o this_o which_o you_o allow_v be_v all_o that_o he_o this_o way_n require_v or_o expect_v but_o i_o suppose_v some_o ungodly_a malicious_a heart_n will_v make_v a_o ill_a use_n of_o all_o that_o i_o say_v and_o will_v think_v with_o themselves_o this_n touch_v the_o professor_n of_o religion_n they_o be_v as_o covetous_a as_o any_o and_o under_o pretence_n of_o long_a prayer_n do_v
