we_o simple_o or_o alone_o for_o god_n sake_n for_o his_o word_n sake_n without_o any_o regard_n to_o this_o or_o that_o by-end_n or_o reserve_v not_o with_o eye_n service_n as_o man_n pleaser_n but_o with_o singleness_n of_o heart_n fear_v god_n a_o man_n be_v more_o subject_n to_o nothing_o then_o to_o swerve_v from_o singleness_n of_o heart_n in_o his_o service_n to_o god_n and_o obedience_n to_o his_o will._n how_o do_v the_o lord_n charge_v the_o child_n of_o israel_n and_o all_o their_o obedience_n and_o that_o for_o seventy_o year_n together_o with_o the_o want_n of_o singleness_n of_o heart_n towards_o he_o when_o you_o fast_v and_o mourn_v in_o the_o five_o and_o seven_o month_n even_o those_o seventy_o year_n do_v you_o at_o all_o fast_o to_o i_o even_o to_o i_o and_o when_o you_o do_v eat_v and_o when_o you_o do_v drink_v do_v you_o not_o eat_v for_o yourselves_o and_o drink_v for_o yourselves_o zech_n 7.5_o 6._o they_o want_v this_o singleness_n of_o heart_n in_o god_n for_o that_o as_o the_o apostle_n here_o say_v effect_v singleness_n of_o heart_n to_o god_n and_o make_v a_o man_n as_o john_n say_v of_o gain_n do_v faithful_o what_o ever_o he_o do_v 3_o john_n 5._o and_o the_o reason_n be_v as_o have_v be_v already_o urge_v for_o that_o grace_n of_o fear_n of_o god_n retain_v and_o keep_v upon_o the_o heart_n a_o reverend_a and_o awful_a sense_n of_o the_o dread_a majesty_n and_o all-seeing_a eye_n of_o god_n also_o a_o due_a consideration_n of_o the_o day_n of_o account_n before_o he_o it_o likewise_o make_v his_o service_n sweet_a and_o please_a and_o fortify_v the_o soul_n against_o all_o discouragement_n by_o this_o mean_n i_o say_v the_o soul_n in_o its_o service_n to_o god_n or_o man_n be_v not_o so_o soon_o captivate_v as_o where_o there_o be_v not_o this_o fear_n but_o through_o and_o by_o it_o its_o service_n be_v accept_v be_v single_a sincere_a simple_a and_o faithful_a when_o other_o with_o what_o they_o do_v be_v cast_v into_o hell_n for_o their_o hypocrisy_n for_o they_o mix_v not_o what_o they_o do_v with_o godly_a fear_n singleness_n of_o heart_n in_o the_o service_n of_o god_n be_v of_o such_o absolute_a necessity_n that_o without_o it_o as_o i_o have_v hint_v nothing_o can_v be_v accept_v because_o where_o that_o be_v want_v there_o want_v love_n to_o god_n and_o to_o that_o which_o be_v true_a holiness_n in_o deed_n it_o be_v this_o singleness_n of_o heart_n that_o make_v nathaniel_n so_o honourable_a in_o the_o eye_n of_o jesus_n christ._n behold_v say_v he_o a_o israelite_n indeed_o in_o in_o good_a obadiah_n it_o be_v say_v of_o he_o that_o he_o take_v a_o hundred_o of_o the_o lord_n prophet_n and_o hide_v they_o by_o fifty_o in_o a_o cave_n and_o feed_v they_o with_o bread_n and_o jezebel_n cut_v off_o the_o prophet_n of_o the_o lord_n that_o obadiah_n take_v a_o hundred_o prophet_n and_o hide_v they_o by_o fifty_o in_o a_o cave_n and_o feed_v they_o with_o bread_n and_o to_o stay_v all_o that_o indeed_o fear_v the_o lord_n yea_o and_o the_o persecution_n prevail_v so_o much_o at_o that_o time_n that_o even_o elijah_n himself_o think_v that_o she_o have_v kill_v all_o but_o he_o but_o now_o even_o now_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n in_o this_o good_a man_n heart_n put_v forth_o itself_o into_o act_n of_o mercy_n though_o attend_v with_o so_o eminent_a danger_n see_v here_o therefore_o that_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n will_v put_v forth_o itself_o in_o the_o heart_n where_o god_n have_v put_v it_o even_o to_o

so_o secure_o in_o the_o way_n eleven_o there_o flow_v from_o this_o grace_n of_o fear_n hope_v in_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n the_o lord_n take_v pleasure_n in_o they_o that_o fear_v he_o in_o they_o than_o hope_v in_o his_o mercy_n psal._n 147.11_o the_o latter_a part_n of_o the_o text_n be_v a_o explanation_n of_o the_o former_a as_o if_o the_o psalmist_n have_v say_v they_o be_v the_o man_n which_o the_o sinner_n be_v to_o obtain_v the_o salvation_n of_o his_o soul_n be_v his_o mercy_n as_o so_o and_o so_o set_v forth_o in_o the_o word_n and_o godly_a fear_n have_v special_a regard_n to_o the_o word_n to_o this_o way_n therefore_o the_o sinner_n with_o this_o godly_a fear_n submit_v his_o soul_n roll_v himself_o upon_o it_o and_o so_o be_v deliver_v from_o that_o death_n into_o which_o other_o for_o want_n of_o this_o fear_n of_o god_n do_v headlong_o fall_v it_o be_v as_o i_o also_o hint_v before_o the_o nature_n of_o godly_a fear_n to_o be_v very_o much_o put_v the_o soul_n upon_o the_o enquiry_n which_o be_v and_o which_o be_v not_o the_o thing_n approve_v of_o god_n and_o according_o to_o embrace_v it_o or_o shun_v it_o now_o i_o say_v this_o fear_n have_v put_v the_o soul_n upon_o a_o strict_a and_o serious_a enquiry_n after_o the_o way_n of_o salvation_n at_o lest_o it_o find_v it_o to_o be_v by_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n in_o christ_n therefore_o this_o fear_n put_v the_o soul_n upon_o hope_v also_o in_o he_o for_o eternal_a life_n and_o blessedness_n by_o which_o hope_n he_o do_v not_o only_o secure_a soul_n but_o become_v a_o person_n of_o god_n delight_n the_o lord_n take_v pleasure_n in_o they_o that_o fear_v he_o in_o they_o that_o hope_v in_o his_o mercy_n beside_o this_o godly_a fear_n carry_v in_o it_o self-evidence_n that_o the_o state_n of_o the_o sinner_n be_v happy_a because_o possess_v with_o this_o happy_a grace_n therefore_o as_o john_n say_v we_o know_v we_o be_v pass_v from_o death_n to_o life_n because_o we_o love_v
