we_o find_v that_o our_o heart_n do_v but_o juggle_v with_o we_o and_o indeed_o there_o be_v no_o man_n can_v tell_v what_o he_o will_v be_v willing_a another_o shall_v do_v by_o he_o till_o he_o be_v put_v to_o the_o trial_n nor_o it_o may_v be_v then_o neither_o if_o he_o do_v not_o observe_v his_o own_o heart_n well_o but_o give_v a_o cast_n of_o his_o eye_n upon_o that_o which_o appear_v at_o the_o top_n only_o not_o observe_v the_o secret_a boiling_n and_o working_n that_o may_v lie_v at_o the_o bottom_n and_o that_o no_o man_n know_v what_o that_o thing_n be_v which_o he_o will_v be_v willing_a another_o shall_v do_v by_o he_o will_v be_v clear_a to_o a_o man_n himself_o let_v he_o but_o consider_v this_o it_o may_v be_v some_o time_n past_a there_o be_v this_o or_o that_o thing_n that_o i_o think_v i_o can_v have_v be_v willing_a another_o shall_v have_v do_v by_o i_o and_o it_o may_v be_v since_o something_o have_v fall_v out_o either_o in_o that_o particular_a thing_n or_o it_o may_v be_v in_o a_o less_o thing_n that_o i_o have_v be_v so_o and_o so_o deal_v with_o by_o another_o how_o have_v i_o take_v it_o why_o a_o hundred_o to_o one_o if_o i_o observe_v my_o heart_n not_o in_o all_o thing_n so_o willing_o as_o i_o think_v i_o shall_v and_o indeed_o man_n heart_n be_v such_o that_o if_o it_o will_v but_o speak_v out_o and_o declare_v itself_o natural_o it_o will_v not_o be_v willing_a that_o another_o shall_v do_v that_o thing_n to_o it_o which_o have_v but_o the_o least_o of_o evil_n in_o it_o and_o it_o be_v in_o this_o sense_n that_o christ_n who_o know_v therefore_o all_o the_o aforesaid_a thing_n be_v do_v by_o i_o constant_o and_o corruption_n notwithstanding_o prevail_v i_o be_o then_o after_o this_o manner_n in_o such_o a_o case_n to_o submit_v thou_o will_v beat_v i_o with_o it_o here_o i_o lie_v now_o have_v show_v the_o nature_n of_o this_o submission_n to_o help_v we_o in_o the_o thing_n for_o this_o be_v the_o bitter_a pill_n of_o all_o other_o to_o the_o gracious_a heart_n take_v these_o thing_n 1_o consider_v that_o god_n in_o all_o the_o break_v forth_o of_o corruption_n in_o he_o have_v a_o design_n that_o lie_v deep_a than_o the_o devil_n design_n or_o the_o design_n of_o thy_o own_o heart_n the_o devil_n design_n in_o put_v forward_o some_o corruption_n be_v to_o shake_v faith_n the_o heart_n design_n to_o please_v itself_o god_n have_v a_o design_n lie_v deep_a and_o when_o the_o time_n of_o mercy_n be_v come_v and_o the_o work_n ripe_a for_o god_n to_o put_v his_o design_n in_o execution_n god_n design_n which_o lie_v as_o a_o mine_n at_o the_o bottom_n will_v spring_v and_o blow_v up_o the_o corruption_n and_o the_o design_n of_o the_o devil_n and_o man_n heart_n therein_o altogether_o this_o be_v clear_a in_o the_o case_n of_o peter_n in_o his_o fall_n be_v a_o great_a design_n of_o satan_n another_o of_o his_o cowardly_a heart_n but_o christ_n have_v a_o design_n lay_v deep_o which_o every_o condition_n to_o be_v content_a he_o know_v how_o to_o be_v full_a and_o how_o to_o be_v hungry_a how_o to_o abound_v and_o to_o suffer_v want_n when_o our_o heart_n be_v take_v up_o with_o spiritual_a thing_n with_o god_n communion_n with_o god_n and_o christ_n let_v sickness_n come_v poverty_n come_v reproach_n persecution_n come_v yet_o nothing_o come_v amiss_o a_o man_n will_v have_v something_o to_o delight_v himself_o in_o or_o else_o he_o will_v never_o be_v content_a now_o when_o the_o delight_n of_o the_o soul_n be_v in_o spiritual_a thing_n when_o the_o soul_n enjoy_v these_o and_o possess_v these_o though_o the_o soul_n want_v many_o outward_a thing_n yet_o it_o can_v be_v content_a say_v the_o soul_n true_a i_o have_v not_o the_o pleasure_n of_o this_o world_n the_o dignity_n and_o honour_n of_o this_o world_n the_o riches_n of_o this_o world_n as_o other_o have_v but_o i_o have_v better_a pleasure_n better_a honour_n better_a riches_n than_o any_o this_o world_n can_v afford_v and_o therefore_o why_o shall_v i_o not_o be_v content_a quest_n but_o how_o shall_v i_o come_v to_o have_v my_o heart_n take_v up_o with_o spiritual_a thing_n ans_fw-fr 1._o be_v much_o in_o the_o study_n of_o the_o gospel_n the_o gospel_n that_o give_v the_o spirit_n it_o hold_v forth_o and_o preach_v the_o spirit_n it_o make_v discovery_n of_o the_o thing_n of_o the_o spirit_n to_o we_o now_o will_v thou_o have_v thy_o heart_n take_v up_o with_o spiritual_a thing_n get_v a_o clear_a sight_n of_o this_o gospel_n where_o these_o thing_n in_o the_o beauty_n but_o take_v a_o dead_a saint_n and_o put_v he_o to_o a_o lively_a saint_n and_o he_o that_o be_v lively_a will_v warm_v the_o dead_a saint_n the_o see_v of_o his_o life_n and_o zeal_n and_o love_n and_o spiritualnesse_n will_v provoke_v the_o other_o and_o set_v he_o all_o in_o a_o flame_n for_o when_o a_o deadhearted_n saint_n see_v the_o life_n of_o another_o he_o be_v ashamed_a of_o himself_o and_o will_v be_v restless_a with_o god_n till_o in_o some_o measure_n he_o have_v attain_v that_o life_n that_o he_o see_v in_o the_o other_o 5_o let_v not_o a_o day_n pass_v over_o but_o at_o one_o time_n or_o other_o of_o that_o day_n hold_v thy_o heart_n close_o for_o some_o time_n to_o some_o spiritual_a work_n either_o prayer_n by_o thyself_o meditation_n self-examination_n or_o the_o like_a you_o know_v thing_n that_o be_v hard_a at_o first_o through_o use_n and_o custom_n become_v habitual_a so_o do_v thou_o use_v thy_o heart_n daily_o to_o be_v employ_v about_o some_o spiritual_a work_n thou_o will_v be_v more_o easy_o bring_v to_o a_o exercise_n in_o spiritual_n often_o neglect_v and_o disuse_n make_v a_o thing_n hard_a let_v a_o man_n neglect_v a_o spiritual_a work_n one_o day_n it_o will_v be_v hard_a to_o bring_v his_o heart_n to_o it_o the_o next_o than_o it_o be_v that_o 6_o keep_v thy_o heart_n heat_v and_o warm_v as_o much_o as_o may_v be_v with_o the_o love_n of_o god_n and_o christ_n whilst_o iron_n be_v hot_a it_o be_v easy_a to_o beat_v it_o into_o this_o or_o that_o form_n but_o when_o it_o be_v cold_a it_o will_v not_o work_v and_o so_o nothing_o will_v be_v do_v whilst_o the_o heart_n be_v warm_v with_o the_o love_n of_o god_n it_o be_v easy_a to_o bring_v it_o to_o this_o as_o that_o spiritual_a work_n but_o when_o it_o be_v cold_a and_o dead_a it_o will_v not_o work_v 7_o watch_v all_o opportunity_n that_o offer_v themselves_o to_o thou_o whereby_o thou_o may_v increase_v thy_o delight_n in_o spiritual_a thing_n or_o have_v thy_o heart_n more_o warm_v to_o thing_n of_o this_o nature_n sometime_o a_o christian_a have_v a_o opportunity_n offer_v to_o speak_v a_o spiritual_a word_n to_o some_o or_o do_v some_o spiritual_a work_n and_o take_v the_o same_o he_o have_v his_o heart_n more_o spiritual_a and_o in_o a_o sweet_a frame_n to_o go_v about_o any_o spiritual_a work_n for_o a_o week_n after_o than_o it_o be_v before_o 8_o be_v most_o humble_a when_o thou_o be_v most_o spiritual_a the_o policy_n of_o satan_n be_v when_o he_o can_v hinder_v the_o soul_n from_o mind_v spiritual_a thing_n to_o make_v it_o be_v by_o the_o old_a covenant_n which_o be_v not_o a_o covenant_n of_o grace_n nor_o do_v convey_v grace_n the_o old_a covenant_n as_o i_o shall_v show_v hereafter_o can_v do_v glorious_a thing_n when_o we_o come_v to_o treat_v of_o the_o new_a covenant_n if_o you_o ask_v i_o wherein_o or_o in_o what_o thing_n do_v this_o conditionality_n of_o the_o old_a covenant_n appear_v i_o answer_v in_o the_o whole_a of_o it_o whatsoever_o the_o old_a covenant_n hold_v forth_o or_o give_v to_o those_o under_o it_o it_o hold_v forth_o and_o give_v in_o a_o conditional_a way_n the_o old_a covenant_n be_v rich_a have_v its_o hand_n full_a or_o mercy_n and_o blessing_n but_o will_v give_v forth_o none_o but_o upon_o condition_n as_o there_o be_v nothing_o in_o the_o new_a covenant_n so_o great_a but_o that_o covenant_n give_v it_o forth_o free_o so_o there_o be_v nothing_o in_o the_o old_a covenant_n so_o small_a which_o it_o will_v part_v with_o or_o let_v go_v without_o the_o performance_n of_o some_o condition_n by_o he_o who_o will_v enjoy_v its_o gift_n this_o will_v better_o appear_v if_o we_o consider_v how_o that_o this_o old_a covenant_n have_v two_o great_a gift_n to_o bestow_v 1_o a_o gift_n of_o blessing_n which_o it_o give_v forth_o upon_o condition_n of_o exact_a and_o perfect_a obedience_n to_o all_o those_o thing_n that_o those_o under_o the_o same_o do_v by_o virtue_n either_o of_o moral_a or_o judicial_a precept_n stand_v oblige_v to_o perform_v 2_o a_o gift_n of_o grace_n by_o which_o in_o case_n their_o blessing_n through_o disobedience_n either_o to_o any_o of_o the_o moral_a or_o judicial_a command_n shall_v become_v forfeit_a or_o lose_v and_o themselves_o bring_v under_o the_o contrary_a curse_n they_o may_v again_o recover_v their_o blessing_n and_o
