call_v the_o old_a man_n rom._n 7._o and_o the_o prayer_n which_o paul_n make_v in_o the_o behalf_n of_o the_o thessalonian_n teach_v we_o in_o effect_n thus_o much_o that_o though_o corruption_n the_o five_o and_o last_o kind_n of_o temptation_n or_o trouble_v of_o mind_n arise_v from_o a_o man_n own_o body_n before_o i_o enter_v to_o speak_v thereof_o one_o question_n in_o the_o mean_a time_n must_v be_v answer_v namely_o how_o the_o body_n be_v a_o earthly_a substance_n shall_v trouble_v or_o annoie_v the_o mind_n consider_v that_o the_o mind_n be_v not_o bodily_a out_o spiritual_a for_o nothing_o can_v work_v above_o it_o own_o power_n and_o it_o be_v against_o reason_n that_o that_o which_o be_v bodily_a shall_v either_o alter_v or_o trouble_v a_o spirit_n for_o answer_v instrument_n in_o and_o by_o which_o the_o soul_n produce_v all_o action_n and_o work_n second_o though_o all_o the_o action_n of_o man_n come_v from_o the_o soul_n yet_o the_o most_o of_o they_o be_v such_o as_o be_v perform_v by_o the_o body_n and_o the_o part_n thereof_o and_o by_o the_o spirit_n that_o be_v seat_v in_o the_o body_n as_o by_o instrument_n indeed_o some_o action_n of_o the_o soul_n and_o mind_n be_v do_v without_o the_o help_n of_o the_o body_n but_o i_o say_v that_o the_o most_o of_o they_o be_v wrought_v by_o the_o body_n and_o spirit_n therein_o contain_v and_o yet_o notwithstanding_o the_o spirit_n in_o themselves_o be_v no_o agent_n at_o all_o but_o the_o only_a agent_n in_o any_o work_n be_v the_o soul_n itself_o for_o example_n the_o use_v of_o the_o outward_a vital_a spirit_n so_o also_o the_o power_n of_o life_n and_o nourishment_n proceed_v from_o the_o soul_n and_o yet_o they_o be_v do_v and_o wrought_v by_o the_o liver_n and_o other_o inward_a part_n as_o instrument_n whereby_o the_o soul_n nourish_v the_o body_n in_o a_o word_n there_o be_v no_o natural_a action_n in_o man_n but_o for_o the_o effect_n thereof_o the_o part_n of_o the_o body_n be_v use_v as_o it_o be_v the_o hand_n and_o instrument_n of_o the_o soul_n and_o all_o this_o come_v by_o reason_n of_o the_o union_n of_o the_o body_n with_o the_o soul_n whereby_o they_o make_v one_o person_n hence_o it_o follow_v that_o when_o the_o body_n be_v trouble_v the_o soul_n be_v also_o trouble_v now_o the_o body_n affect_v and_o hurt_v the_o soul_n and_o mind_n not_o by_o take_v away_o those_o that_o be_v true_a christian_n they_o be_v indeed_o not_o only_o the_o gift_n of_o god_n spirit_n but_o also_o essential_a part_n of_o regeneration_n that_o we_o may_v the_o better_a yet_o
