all_o place_n of_o the_o world_n that_o make_v itself_o be_v see_v love_v and_o adore_v invincible_o by_o all_o heart_n in_o all_o age_n and_o in_o all_o people_n civilise_v and_o barbarous_a can_v choose_v but_o be_v at_o least_o the_o glimmer_n of_o a_o eternal_a and_o a_o infinite_a light_n whole_o intelligible_a and_o whole_o invisible_a which_o subsist_v eternal_o and_o essential_o by_o itself_o and_o make_v a_o part_n and_o one_o even_o of_o the_o principal_a ground_n of_o that_o sovereign_a nature_n and_o perfection_n which_o we_o call_v the_o supreme_a nature_n and_o be_v and_o as_o we_o perceive_v that_o this_o glimmer_n and_o these_o glance_n of_o this_o original_a beauty_n be_v so_o amicable_a by_o itself_o that_o as_o corrupt_v as_o we_o be_v we_o can_v hinder_v ourselves_o from_o love_v it_o so_o it_o be_v easy_a for_o we_o to_o comprehend_v that_o this_o sovereign_a nature_n from_o which_o it_o flow_v together_o with_o that_o almighty_a charm_n whereof_o we_o resent_v so_o strong_a and_o so_o invincible_a a_o empire_n continual_o deserve_v well_o our_o complacency_n and_o to_o be_v love_v only_o and_o sovereign_o for_o itself_o thus_o it_o be_v that_o in_o reflect_v upon_o the_o manner_n how_o the_o eternal_a beauty_n give_v a_o glimpse_n of_o itself_o to_o our_o soul_n through_o the_o body_n which_o obscure_v it_o and_o which_o be_v as_o it_o be_v vail_n and_o wall_n betwixt_o the_o soul_n and_o it_o we_o be_v able_a and_o we_o ought_v to_o lift_v up_o ourselves_o above_o all_o corporeal_a and_o sensible_a beauty_n and_o image_n for_o to_o despise_v they_o and_o to_o mount_v up_o to_o the_o eternal_a beauty_n to_o adore_v and_o to_o love_v it_o only_o but_o if_o all_o our_o duty_n towards_o god_n spring_v so_o natural_o from_o these_o idea_n which_o the_o knowledge_n of_o our_o soul_n give_v we_o of_o he_o those_o which_o we_o owe_v to_o ourselves_o and_o which_o we_o owe_v to_o other_o man_n do_v no_o less_o flow_v from_o thence_o chap._n xxiv_o duty_n towards_o ourselves_o and_o towards_o other_o man_n and_o first_o of_o temperance_n and_o of_o the_o crime_n of_o incontinence_n you_o see_v there_o how_o all_o our_o religious_a duty_n towards_o god_n do_v spring_n and_o flow_v from_o that_o fruitful_a principle_n of_o the_o visible_a empire_n with_o which_o god_n who_o hold_v our_o soul_n in_o our_o body_n act_n perpetual_o in_o they_o let_v we_o see_v now_o how_o those_o for_o which_o we_o be_v indebt_v to_o ourselves_o do_v thence_o arise_v and_o spring_v likewise_o we_o have_v include_v they_o all_o a_o long_a while_n ago_o under_o the_o term_n and_o name_n of_o temperance_n and_o temperance_n include_v all_o in_o effect_n it_o mean_v every_o thing_n that_o we_o owe_v to_o ourselves_o whether_o for_o the_o body_n or_o for_o the_o soul_n and_o who_o see_v not_o that_o it_o spring_v from_o what_o have_v be_v say_v concern_v the_o assembly_n of_o the_o soul_n and_o the_o body_n that_o god_n for_o such_o noble_a end_n condemn_v all_o dissoluteness_n which_o dishonour_v and_o degrade_n both_o the_o one_o and_o the_o other_o there_o be_v some_o who_o be_v hard_a to_o be_v convince_v of_o the_o disorder_n and_o of_o the_o crime_n of_o certain_a incontinience_n but_o let_v they_o conceive_v well_o the_o design_n of_o god_n in_o the_o union_n which_o he_o make_v of_o soul_n and_o body_n and_o in_o the_o end_n of_o the_o instinct_n and_o motion_n of_o pleasure_n which_o
