conceive_v any_o hope_n of_o help_n in_o their_o idol_n they_o will_v easy_o neglect_v and_o contemn_v god_n threaten_n he_o take_v away_o from_o they_o this_o vain_a confidence_n in_o these_o word_n as_o they_o seem_v in_o regard_n of_o their_o presence_n to_o give_v they_o the_o great_a hope_n of_o their_o assistance_n thus_o he_o overthrow_v pharaoh_n senacherib_n benhadad_n in_o the_o midst_n and_o second_o the_o benefit_n promise_v the_o context_n in_o these_o word_n therefore_o behold_v this_o may_v seem_v a_o strange_a kind_n of_o consequence_n for_o in_o the_o former_a verse_n he_o have_v set_v down_o their_o obstinacy_n in_o their_o gross_a idolatry_n and_o that_o they_o be_v so_o whole_o devote_a to_o their_o idol_n that_o they_o have_v quite_o forget_v the_o true_a god_n and_o now_o he_o present_o infer_v hereupon_o that_o therefore_o he_o will_v allure_v she_o and_o speak_v comfortable_o unto_o she_o but_o howsoever_o this_o may_v seem_v but_o a_o bad_a inference_n if_o we_o regard_v their_o sin_n upon_o the_o recital_n whereof_o it_o shall_v rather_o have_v follow_v that_o therefore_o they_o shall_v have_v such_o punishment_n inflict_v upon_o they_o as_o their_o sin_n have_v deserve_v yet_o it_o have_v good_a dependence_n if_o we_o respect_v god_n infinite_a mercy_n and_o his_o eternal_a purpose_n whereby_o he_o have_v of_o his_o free_a grace_n and_o he_o and_o have_v obtain_v his_o father_n pardon_n and_o reconcile_v he_o unto_o he_o this_o be_v a_o strong_a motive_n to_o persuade_v he_o to_o leave_v the_o strange_a country_n where_o he_o live_v and_o to_o return_v again_o into_o the_o kingdom_n of_o his_o sovereign_n so_o we_o who_o be_v grievous_a malefactor_n which_o by_o transgress_a god_n law_n have_v make_v ourselves_o subject_a to_o to_o his_o wrath_n and_o obnoxious_a to_o the_o punishment_n of_o the_o law_n eternal_a death_n while_o we_o remain_v in_o this_o case_n flee_v from_o god_n presence_n and_o as_o much_o as_o in_o we_o lie_v though_o it_o never_o lie_v in_o we_o we_o banish_v ourselves_o out_o of_o his_o kingdom_n and_o jurisdiction_n but_o when_o we_o hear_v that_o christ_n his_o dear_o belove_a son_n have_v obtain_v our_o pardon_n and_o reconcile_v we_o to_o his_o father_n then_o and_o not_o before_o we_o approach_v his_o presence_n and_o adjoine_v ourselves_o to_o his_o kingdom_n it_o be_v then_o the_o preach_n of_o the_o gospel_n which_o gather_v we_o into_o christ_n kingdom_n for_o it_o be_v god_n strong_a power_n unto_o salvation_n to_o all_o that_o believe_v whereby_o he_o persuade_v we_o to_o come_v out_o of_o satan_n kingdom_n and_o to_o adjoine_v ourselves_o unto_o his_o church_n and_o therefore_o those_o who_o seek_v the_o conversion_n of_o other_o they_o must_v not_o only_o denounce_v glad_a tiding_n of_o the_o gospel_n for_o the_o conversion_n of_o those_o who_o be_v not_o yet_o call_v once_o or_o twice_o or_o diverse_a time_n but_o continual_o till_o they_o be_v convert_v we_o neither_o to_o any_o place_n but_o he_o convert_v both_o when_o he_o will_v and_o also_o where_o he_o will_n the_o six_o thing_n to_o be_v observe_v be_v the_o change_n of_o the_o name_n gospel_n condemn_v the_o gospel_n justifi_v and_o save_v so_o that_o now_o enmity_n be_v turn_v into_o friendship_n judgement_n into_o mercy_n death_n and_o condemnation_n into_o life_n and_o eternal_a mean_n to_o pacify_v he_o when_o we_o have_v exclude_v ourselves_o from_o god_n mercy_n there_o must_v be_v some_o other_o way_n to_o recover_v it_o which_o can_v not_o be_v any_o mean_n of_o our_o own_o for_o we_o in_o stead_n of_o pacify_v god_n for_o our_o old_a sin_n be_v continual_o ready_a to_o anger_v he_o with_o new_a and_o in_o stead_n of_o mercy_n we_o by_o our_o new_a transgression_n heap_v upon_o ourselves_o new_a punishment_n and_o therefore_o in_o christ_n alone_o god_n mercy_n be_v obtain_v who_o have_v satisfy_v his_o justice_n and_o appease_v his_o wrath_n by_o discharge_v their_o prophecy_n which_o concern_v the_o present_a time_n with_o those_o which_o concern_v the_o kingdom_n of_o the_o messiah_n in_o the_o time_n of_o gospel_n for_o as_o their_o main_a end_n be_v
