but_o a_o carcase_n if_o it_o be_v alone_o but_o if_o by_o rub_v and_o gall_v our_o heart_n it_o make_v they_o at_o length_n so_o tender_a as_o to_o be_v sensible_a not_o only_o of_o the_o punishment_n but_o to_o loath_a sin_n itself_o as_o a_o foul_a and_o ugly_a thing_n then_o indeed_o it_o begin_v to_o live_v and_o give_v some_o proof_n it_o will_v be_v sincere_a for_o as_o a_o surfeit_n of_o meat_n how_o dainty_a and_o delicate_a soever_o will_v afterward_o make_v they_o loathsome_a so_o if_o we_o be_v indeed_o surcharge_v with_o the_o burden_n of_o our_o sin_n the_o appetite_n of_o the_o soul_n will_v begin_v to_o loathe_v they_o though_o they_o have_v be_v never_o so_o full_a of_o delight_n yea_o it_o will_v make_v we_o loathe_v ourselves_o and_o cry_v out_o in_o a_o mournful_a manner_n with_o s._n paul_n rom._n 7._o 24._o o_o miserable_a man_n that_o i_o be_o who_o shall_v deliver_v i_o from_o this_o body_n of_o death_n even_o as_o a_o man_n who_o be_v cover_v over_o with_o noisome_a boil_v and_o sore_n be_v not_o affect_v only_o with_o the_o bodily_a pain_n cause_v by_o they_o but_o even_o abhor_v the_o sight_n and_o smell_v of_o that_o which_o cause_v it_o as_o filthy_a and_o ugly_a so_o must_v it_o be_v in_o this_o leprosy_n of_o sin_n and_o indeed_o be_v our_o eye_n once_o open_a to_o see_v it_o loathsomeness_n sin_n be_v the_o most_o ugly_a beastly_a filthy_a and_o noisome_a thing_n in_o the_o world_n for_o be_v whole_o opposite_a to_o god_n the_o most_o glorious_a beauty_n and_o most_o delectable_a good_a it_o be_v contrary_a to_o whatsoever_o be_v any_o way_n seemly_a comely_a graceful_a and_o beautiful_a for_o all_o these_o carry_v in_o they_o some_o image_n and_o resemblance_n of_o he_o but_o sin_n none_o at_o all_o nay_o it_o be_v a_o distasteful_a and_o loathsome_a thing_n to_o the_o reasonable_a nature_n of_o man_n as_o appear_v by_o the_o continual_a upbraid_v and_o gripe_v of_o the_o conscience_n which_o can_v never_o down_o with_o it_o in_o meat_n if_o any_o go_v against_o our_o stomach_n we_o abhor_v and_o loathe_v they_o how_o much_o more_o loathsome_a be_v that_o which_o the_o conscience_n can_v digest_v the_o stomach_n and_o taster_n of_o our_o soul_n o_o how_o nice_a and_o dainty_o we_o be_v that_o no_o loathsome_a and_o unpleasant_a meat_n shall_v offend_v so_o much_o as_o by_o the_o sight_n thereof_o our_o fleshly_a appetite_n which_o be_v common_a to_o we_o with_o beast_n but_o our_o soul_n our_o noble_a part_n who_o safety_n so_o much_o concern_v we_o we_o cram_v and_o choke_v with_o the_o loathsome_a filthiness_n of_o sin_n and_o perceive_v it_o not_o but_o as_o those_o who_o can_v endure_v a_o cat_n or_o a_o mouse_n or_o the_o like_a by_o antipathy_n of_o nature_n when_o any_o such_o thing_n come_v within_o their_o sight_n or_o near_o their_o person_n present_o they_o start_v and_o show_v some_o extremity_n of_o passion_n or_o other_o and_o if_o they_o can_v fly_v it_o it_o cast_v their_o body_n into_o a_o cold_a sweat_n so_o must_v we_o labour_v under_o the_o sight_n of_o our_o sin_n that_o we_o may_v be_v of_o those_o who_o christ_n here_o call_v for_o o_o lord_n supple_a our_o heart_n with_o thy_o quicken_a grace_n that_o they_o may_v be_v so_o tender_a as_o to_o feel_v this_o part_n of_o their_o butthen_n as_o well_o as_o the_o other_o thus_o have_v we_o hear_v the_o first_o requisite_a of_o such_o as_o may_v be_v true_o say_v to_o labour_n and_o be_v weary_a of_o their_o burden_n namely_o to_o feel_v and_o be_v sensible_a of_o a_o double_a weight_n thereof_o now_o follow_v the_o next_o and_o last_o requisite_a a_o desire_n to_o be_v rid_v thereof_o he_o that_o true_o and_o unfeigned_o labour_v under_o the_o burden_n of_o his_o sin_n he_o that_o be_v indeed_o weary_a thereof_o will_v desire_v to_o be_v rid_v of_o it_o for_o sorrow_n be_v so_o much_o against_o the_o good_a like_n of_o nature_n that_o he_o that_o be_v press_v with_o the_o burden_n thereof_o will_v earnest_o desire_v to_o be_v ease_v will_v endeavour_v to_o shake_v off_o his_o burden_n and_o remove_v that_o which_o procure_v his_o sorrow_n he_o therefore_o that_o be_v not_o so_o far_o toil_v with_o the_o pressure_n of_o his_o sin_n as_o to_o have_v a_o purpose_n to_o forsake_v and_o leave_v they_o be_v no_o true_a penitent_a none_o of_o those_o who_o be_v qualification_n and_o distinction_n and_o the_o like_a he_o be_v perhaps_o heavy_a lade_v for_o he_o feel_v his_o shoulder_n pinch_v but_o he_o be_v not_o weary_a of_o carry_v but_o think_v to_o ease_v himself_o as_o he_o in_o the_o fable_n do_v his_o horse_n of_o the_o plough_n who_o sit_v still_o upon_o his_o horse_n back_o carried_z the_o plough_n on_o his_o own_o neck_n so_o be_v the_o horse_n ease_v by_o a_o distinction_n for_o now_o his_o master_n carry_v the_o plough_n and_o not_o he_o 3._o he_o that_o have_v indeed_o a_o purpose_n to_o cast_v off_o the_o burden_n of_o his_o sin_n and_o to_o forsake_v it_o be_v willing_a to_o make_v amends_o where_o he_o have_v wrong_v as_o we_o see_v by_o the_o example_n of_o zacchaeus_n in_o the_o gospel_n for_o he_o that_o can_v wish_v from_o the_o bottom_n of_o his_o heart_n that_o what_o he_o have_v do_v be_v undo_v and_o if_o it_o be_v to_o do_v again_o he_o will_v never_o do_v it_o be_v no_o true_a penitent_a nor_o hearty_o sorry_a for_o his_o sin_n but_o how_o can_v he_o say_v thus_o who_o have_v ill-gotten_a good_n and_o will_v not_o restore_v they_o who_o have_v power_n in_o his_o hand_n yet_o in_o some_o sort_n to_o undo_v his_o sin_n as_o far_o as_o the_o injury_n concern_v man_n and_o yet_o will_v not_o do_v it_o and_o thus_o you_o have_v see_v how_o the_o person_n must_v be_v qualify_v and_o what_o preparation_n be_v require_v of_o they_o who_o be_v capable_a of_o this_o sweet_a invitation_n of_o our_o saviour_n come_v unto_o i_o all_o you_o that_o be_v weary_a or_o labour_v of_o be_v heavy_a small_a time_n with_o small_a ado_n may_v cross_v out_o of_o the_o one_o into_o the_o other_o but_o they_o be_v much_o deceive_v for_o as_o sin_n be_v more_o than_o a_o stepping_z aside_o viz._n a_o plain_a and_o direct_v go_v away_o from_o god_n so_o be_v repentance_n or_o the_o forsake_v of_o sin_n more_o than_o a_o little_a coast_v out_o of_o one_o way_n into_o another_o cross_v will_n not_o
