the_o devil_n can_v stain_v the_o soul_n without_o its_o own_o concurrence_n yet_o he_o can_v trouble_v the_o soul_n if_o god_n permit_v he_o by_o his_o mere_a suggestion_n and_o impression_n and_o himself_o unto_o it_o and_o beside_o they_o hinder_v the_o soul_n in_o its_o motion_n and_o communication_n of_o itself_o to_o christ_n i_o be_o so_o trouble_v say_v the_o psalmist_n that_o i_o can_v speak_v the_o soul_n be_v so_o trouble_v that_o it_o can_v believe_v it_o can_v hope_v it_o can_v pray_v etc._n etc._n 4._o the_o last_o cause_n that_o i_o shall_v assign_v be_v distraction_n cause_v either_o from_o worldly_a care_n and_o business_n or_o from_o some_o false_a guide_n a_o soul_n overwhelm_v with_o business_n and_o care_n of_o the_o world_n will_v many_o time_n find_v itself_o at_o a_o loss_n how_o to_o maintain_v its_o communion_n with_o god_n there_o be_v such_o a_o opposition_n betwixt_o a_o communion_n with_o god_n and_o the_o world_n the_o first_o be_v whole_o a_o then_o with_o christ_n mystical_a have_v and_o keep_v in_o the_o communion_n of_o his_o church_n whereas_o many_o may_v do_v so_o if_o we_o mean_v the_o visible_a church_n that_o have_v no_o communion_n with_o christ_n at_o all_o upon_o christ_n floor_n there_o be_v chaff_n as_o well_o as_o wheat_n which_o when_o christ_n come_v with_o his_o fan_n thorough_o to_o purge_v his_o floor_n
