mocking-stock_n of_o those_o canaanite_n your_o enemy_n that_o so_o swarm_v in_o your_o land_n here_o be_v a_o subject_a fit_a indeed_o for_o your_o charity_n and_o a_o miserable_a case_n it_o be_v god_n know_v that_o they_o shall_v be_v the_o person_n who_o of_o all_o condition_n of_o man_n shall_v stand_v in_o great_a need_n of_o your_o mercy_n and_o charity_n 41._o oh_o but_o will_v some_o man_n say_v we_o have_v find_v now_o at_o what_o the_o preacher_n aim_v all_o this_o ado_n about_o restitution_n be_v only_o to_o enrich_v the_o clergy_n if_o such_o thought_n and_o jealousy_n as_o and_o low-spirited_a that_o for_o fear_n of_o your_o anger_n and_o danger_n of_o starve_v they_o shall_v not_o dare_v to_o interrupt_v or_o hinder_v you_o when_o you_o run_v headlong_o in_o the_o path_n that_o lead_v you_o to_o destruction_n when_o out_o of_o faint-heartedness_n they_o shall_v not_o dare_v to_o take_v notice_n no_o not_o of_o the_o most_o scandalous_a sin_n of_o their_o meaning_n shall_v be_v god_n by_o his_o wisdom_n and_o providence_n will_v so_o contrive_v business_n for_o you_o that_o though_o you_o be_v not_o likely_a to_o live_v in_o a_o contival_a uninterrupted_a course_n of_o happiness_n and_o security_n but_o that_o sometime_o you_o shall_v dash_v your_o foot_n against_o a_o stone_n you_o shall_v be_v disquiet_v and_o molest_v with_o affliction_n of_o several_a nature_n notwithstanding_o this_o you_o may_v be_v confident_a of_o that_o let_v what_o misfortue_n will_v come_v how_o grievous_a and_o even_o insupportable_a soever_o it_o may_v seem_v unto_o you_o it_o shall_v never_o be_v so_o violent_a and_o outrageous_a but_o that_o god_n will_v provide_v a_o way_n for_o you_o to_o escape_v from_o it_o there_o will_v be_v a_o door_n leave_v open_a for_o you_o to_o avoid_v the_o furiousness_n and_o impetuousness_n of_o it_o either_o god_n will_v arm_v you_o with_o patience_n to_o bear_v it_o

desirous_a enough_o to_o embrace_v the_o wicked_a suggestion_n and_o temptation_n of_o both_o nay_o sufficient_a to_o destroy_v we_o without_o the_o assistance_n of_o either_o i_o say_v that_o though_o these_o thing_n consider_v we_o may_v seem_v to_o be_v set_v in_o the_o expression_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n upon_o slippery_a place_n where_o it_o be_v almost_o impossible_a for_o we_o to_o keep_v our_o foot_n and_o to_o preserve_v ourselves_o from_o fall_v dangerous_o and_o dash_v ourselves_o in_o piece_n 9_o notwithstanding_o if_o our_o eye_n be_v open_v as_o be_v the_o eye_n of_o angel_n who_o be_v on_o our_o side_n be_v both_o wise_a and_o strong_a than_o the_o devil_n and_o more_o willing_a to_o do_v we_o good_a than_o the_o other_o can_v be_v to_o hurt_v we_o beside_o the_o that_o if_o the_o suggestion_n of_o any_o wicked_a temptation_n get_v the_o mastery_n over_o we_o let_v we_o not_o impute_v too_o much_o to_o the_o valour_n and_o strength_n of_o our_o enemy_n let_v we_o not_o accuse_v god_n of_o any_o unwillingness_n to_o succour_v we_o for_o never_o any_o temptation_n have_v or_o ever_o shall_v happen_v unto_o we_o but_o such_o as_o be_v 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 10._o this_o sense_n of_o these_o word_n may_v with_o as_o good_a reason_n and_o probability_n be_v suppose_v to_o be_v intend_v by_o st._n paul_n in_o this_o place_n as_o the_o former_a and_o indeed_o unless_o we_o enlarge_v st._n paul_n word_n to_o this_o meaning_n also_o we_o shall_v receive_v no_o extraordinary_a comfort_n and_o encouragement_n from_o they_o for_o though_o indeed_o it_o be_v true_a that_o it_o be_v more_o than_o we_o can_v deserve_v at_o god_n hand_n to_o obtain_v a_o promise_n from_o he_o to_o secure_v we_o that_o no_o temptation_n no_o outward_a affliction_n of_o this_o world_n shall_v be_v so_o violent_a and_o furious_a upon_o we_o as_o to_o exceed_v the_o strength_n of_o reason_n and_o grace_n to_o withstand_v they_o yet_o since_o sin_n be_v that_o only_a enemy_n which_o be_v able_a to_o withdraw_v god_n favour_n from_o we_o and_o make_v he_o our_o enemy_n unless_o we_o can_v be_v put_v in_o some_o hope_n that_o there_o be_v a_o possible_a course_n
