but_o a_o infant_n in_o grace_n be_v violent_o assail_v by_o satan_n according_a to_o his_o nature_n with_o extreme_a rage_n and_o subtlety_n and_o if_o it_o have_v so_o fall_v out_o that_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n be_v fain_o to_o batter_v down_o the_o height_n of_o his_o heart_n and_o make_v passage_n for_o himself_o with_o horrible_a fear_n and_o terror_n then_o satan_n labour_v often_o to_o revive_v those_o terror_n and_o by_o infinite_a cavil_n and_o objection_n to_o make_v he_o even_o despair_v of_o his_o salvation_n there_o be_v none_o end_v almost_o of_o the_o devil_n strive_v in_o this_o case_n but_o he_o will_v labour_v continual_o with_o new_a doubt_n and_o objection_n to_o call_v his_o salvation_n into_o question_n and_o to_o make_v he_o think_v that_o he_o shall_v never_o enjoy_v the_o quiet_a possession_n of_o his_o heavenly_a inheritance_n yet_o against_o all_o these_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n so_o strengthen_v he_o that_o by_o virtue_n of_o the_o gracious_a promise_n of_o god_n and_o by_o the_o power_n of_o constant_a prayer_n and_o supplication_n he_o support_v himself_o and_o still_o continue_v to_o rest_v himself_o upon_o the_o free_a goodness_n of_o god_n in_o christ_n notwithstanding_o all_o these_o objection_n and_o shake_n neither_o yet_o will_v satan_n rest_v here_o but_o be_v further_a troublesome_a unto_o he_o by_o stir_v up_o innumerable_a sword_n &_o by_o constant_a supplication_n whereby_o still_o he_o settle_v his_o soul_n firm_a and_o fast_o in_o his_o holy_a purpose_n of_o obedience_n i_o confess_v that_o the_o devil_n be_v a_o common_a enemy_n to_o all_o mankind_n both_o sanctify_a and_o unsanctified_a and_o therefore_o the_o unregenerate_a also_o be_v much_o molest_v with_o he_o oftentimes_o when_o he_o grow_v exorbitant_a and_o seek_v to_o pull_v they_o by_o the_o strength_n of_o utter_a despair_n as_o it_o be_v quick_a into_o hell_n and_o to_o make_v they_o kill_v themselves_o or_o do_v some_o other_o most_o gross_a and_o unnatural_a crime_n but_o satan_n be_v not_o willing_a to_o deal_v so_o rough_o with_o they_o if_o he_o can_v choose_v for_o he_o stand_v ever_o in_o most_o danger_n of_o lose_v they_o when_o he_o carry_v himself_o towards_o they_o in_o so_o hard_a a_o fashion_n wherefore_o he_o rather_o flatter_v and_o faun_n endeavour_v to_o rock_v they_o asleep_a still_o if_o he_o can_v in_o the_o cradle_n of_o security_n and_o presumption_n neither_o will_v he_o storm_v thus_o but_o when_o he_o see_v his_o advantage_n in_o regard_n of_o some_o bodily_a cross_n or_o distemper_n or_o that_o he_o scrupulous_a and_o iniudicious_a than_o he_o make_v use_v of_o such_o ignorance_n and_o weakness_n and_o will_v never_o find_v time_n to_o make_v a_o end_n of_o vex_v he_o but_o that_o the_o lord_n the_o more_o violent_a but_o yet_o still_o his_o faith_n be_v his_o victory_n by_o which_o he_o overcome_v the_o world_n the_o assurance_n that_o he_o find_v in_o himself_o of_o god_n eternal_a love_n and_o the_o sweet_a effect_n thereof_o make_v he_o to_o disdain_v these_o sugar_a allurement_n and_o to_o stand_v strong_a against_o those_o bitter_a encounter_n flatter_v they_o or_o frown_v they_o repeat_v ten_o time_n more_o and_o more_o orderly_a than_o the_o sanctify_a this_o be_v a_o fruit_n of_o nature_n not_o of_o grace_n but_o when_o some_o time_n be_v past_a and_o that_o both_o shall_v steadfast_o solid_o irresistible_o bend_v itself_o to_o be_v one_o with_o he_o that_o this_o inclination_n many_o time_n do_v overweigh_v and_o over-rule_v all_o other_o inclination_n in_o he_o and_o
