we_o find_v it_o wrought_v in_o our_o heart_n by_o what_o mean_v it_o be_v preserve_v &_o increase_v in_o us._n if_o it_o be_v a_o true_a faith_n the_o word_n preach_v do_v beget_v it_o &_o it_o feel_v itself_o to_o grow_v in_o strength_n by_o mean_a of_o the_o same_o word_n when_o as_o many_o that_o say_v they_o believe_v they_o never_o find_v any_o use_n of_o the_o word_n to_o begin_v their_o faith_n for_o they_o can_v remember_v they_o say_v that_o ever_o since_o year_n of_o reason_n they_o be_v without_o a_o good_a belief_n to_o god-ward_o neither_o do_v they_o feel_v any_o need_n of_o the_o word_n to_o grow_v by_o the_o less_o they_o have_v of_o it_o it_o be_v the_o better_a with_o they_o such_o man_n faith_n be_v a_o devilish_a delusion_n contrariwise_o if_o we_o have_v come_v to_o our_o faith_n by_o hear_v &_o find_v that_o the_o word_n be_v effectual_a in_o we_o to_o the_o augment_v of_o it_o in_o we_o in_o all_o this_o it_o be_v with_o we_o as_o it_o be_v with_o true_a believer_n second_o we_o see_v how_o needful_a the_o word_n preach_v be_v for_o we_o no_o word_n no_o faith_n no_o faith_n no_o salvation_n this_o make_v the_o devil_n so_o malicious_a to_o persuade_v the_o contempt_n of_o it_o or_o at_o least_o to_o bear_v we_o in_o hand_n that_o it_o
form_n but_o a_o form_n of_o speech_n of_o many_o conjoin_v it_o do_v teach_v that_o we_o must_v not_o because_o we_o pray_v alone_o be_v careless_a of_o join_v with_o other_o in_o prayer_n he_o hope_n earthly_a parent_n will_v not_o deny_v their_o child_n good_a thing_n much_o less_o shall_v god_n deny_v we_o his_o spirit_n and_o what_o ever_o thing_n be_v good_a for_o us._n this_o therefore_o do_v rebuke_v the_o rudeness_n of_o some_o that_o care_v not_o how_o unprepared_a they_o fall_v upon_o prayer_n how_o rude_a gesture_n they_o use_v in_o it_o how_o unmannerly_a they_o break_v away_o after_o it_o use_v their_o father_n as_o if_o he_o be_v a_o cypher_n or_o a_o father_n of_o clout_n rather_o they_o a_o god_n that_o will_v without_o respect_n of_o person_n judge_v every_o one_o our_o doubt_a mind_n must_v hence_o be_v reprove_v and_o strengthen_v how_o confident_o do_v child_n come_v to_o their_o parent_n if_o we_o have_v a_o suit_n to_o a_o friend_n which_o creature_n we_o must_v in_o spirit_n by_o faith_n move_v our_o heart_n thither_o where_o he_o be_v beside_o where_o our_o father_n be_v there_o our_o country_n be_v vbi_fw-la pater_fw-la ibi_fw-la no_o power_n to_o effect_v what_o they_o will_v be_v it_o thus_o with_o our_o father_n faith_n be_v shake_v but_o when_o he_o want_v not_o will_n as_o a_o father_n nor_o power_n as_o a_o heavenly_a governor_n our_o faith_n be_v firm_o underprop_a how_o then_o be_v we_o to_o accuse_v ourselves_o who_o know_v not_o how_o sufficient_o to_o admire_v and_o adore_v a_o earthly_a majesty_n a_o mortal_a man_n and_o yet_o be_v so_o respectless_a
christ_n in_o justify_v and_o satisfy_v for_o us._n the_o four_o principle_n q._n but_o how_o may_v thou_o be_v make_v partaker_n of_o christ_n and_o his_o benefit_n a._n a_o man_n of_o a_o contrite_a and_o know_v that_o there_o be_v bread_n but_o we_o must_v eat_v it_o if_o we_o will_v have_v fruit_n by_o the_o one_o or_o other_o so_o in_o christ_n we_o must_v come_v to_o he_o by_o faith_n feed_v upon_o he_o in_o our_o heart_n by_o unfeigned_a belief_n before_o he_o will_v profit_v we_o any_o thing_n wherefore_o let_v we_o not_o content_v ourselves_o with_o the_o papist_n faith_n which_o only_a object_n or_o matter_n about_o which_o faith_n be_v occupy_v as_o it_o be_v the_o instrument_n of_o justify_v and_o save_v of_o we_o and_o in_o regard_n of_o this_o that_o it_o apprehend_v it_o be_v say_v only_o to_o save_v us._n faith_n justify_v do_v believe_v the_o story_n of_o the_o bible_n the_o threaten_n of_o god_n yea_o may_n upon_o some_o particular_a word_n by_o instinct_n or_o otherwise_o come_v to_o we_o work_v a_o miracle_n but_o it_o do_v not_o justify_v and_o save_v we_o but_o only_o as_o it_o look_v to_o christ_n who_o be_v the_o righteousness_n and_o the_o salvation_n of_o our_o god_n not_o as_o believe_v other_o thing_n as_o a_o reasonable_a soul_n in_o man_n do_v bring_v forth_o sense_n and_o motion_n do_v concoct_v expel_v do_v exercise_n animal_n sensitive_a and_o natural_a function_n in_o the_o body_n yet_o it_o be_v not_o reasonable_a as_o it_o do_v these_o thing_n but_o as_o it_o conceive_v of_o thing_n simple_a or_o otherwise_o discourse_v and_o in_o this_o respect_n only_o it_o be_v say_v to_o save_v we_o because_o that_o it_o lay_v hold_v on_o christ_n our_o saviour_n so_o that_o the_o meaning_n of_o this_o faith_n save_v we_o be_v christ_n apprehend_v by_o faith_n do_v save_o us._n whence_o rom._n 3.9_o and_o act._n 3.9_o these_o phrase_n be_v make_v aequivalent_fw-la to_o be_v justify_v by_o christ_n and_o by_o faith_n to_o be_v heal_v by_o the_o name_n of_o christ_n and_o faith_n in_o his_o name_n as_o if_o one_o shall_v say_v this_o pot_n of_o money_n make_v i_o a_o rich_a man_n we_o will_v not_o think_v the_o pot_n make_v he_o rich_a but_o the_o treasure_n in_o it_o so_o when_o faith_n be_v say_v to_o save_v it_o be_v not_o to_o be_v mean_v that_o the_o act_n of_o believe_v absolute_o consider_v do_v save_o we_o but_o respective_o in_o regard_n of_o christ_n our_o saviour_n who_o faith_n hold_v wherefore_o let_v we_o only_o hold_v christ_n as_o beside_o who_o we_o lack_v nothing_o full_o to_o save_v us._n this_o declare_v to_o be_v and_o approve_v of_o those_o that_o embrace_v she_o the_o sum_n be_v that_o god_n will_v so_o work_v that_o himself_o howsoever_o make_v know_v by_o title_n word_n or_o work_n careless_a of_o god_n glory_n hence_o it_o be_v that_o if_o we_o circumstantial_o so_o fail_v that_o it_o crase_v our_o reputation_n in_o any_o kind_n with_o man_n it_o do_v sting_v we_o but_o when_o we_o fault_n towards_o god_n we_o pass_v it_o over_o well_o enough_o hence_o it_o be_v that_o if_o one_o put_v the_o least_o contemptuous_a behaviour_n upon_o we_o use_v a_o term_n of_o any_o disgrace_n it_o do_v kindle_v cool_v present_o but_o we_o can_v hear_v god_n name_v dishonour_v and_o not_o be_v affect_v and_o move_v with_o it_o we_o have_v need_v therefore_o to_o pray_v unto_o god_n that_o he_o will_v heal_v this_o matter_n four_o to_o mark_v how_o fearful_o with_o wicked_a one_o not_o yet_o call_v god_n name_n be_v profane_v do_v it_o not_o pity_v we_o when_o we_o hear_v
