and_o capital_a sin_n of_o the_o land_n which_o not_o a_o little_a provoke_v the_o high_a displeasure_n and_o deep_a vengeance_n of_o god_n against_o our_o whole_a nation_n for_o that_o wheresoever_o it_o go_v it_o be_v accompany_v with_o the_o contempt_n of_o all_o religion_n piety_n and_o good_a order_n to_o the_o let_v in_o of_o popery_n atheism_n impiety_n and_o all_o iniquity_n i_o doubt_v not_o good_a reader_n but_o thou_o will_v easy_o confess_v that_o it_o be_v high_a time_n for_o every_o man_n to_o put_v to_o his_o help_a hand_n for_o the_o remove_v or_o at_o least_o for_o the_o all_o among_o many_o other_o most_o high_o bind_v to_o give_v god_n praise_n but_o such_o be_v the_o corruption_n of_o our_o nature_n in_o general_a but_o especial_o of_o the_o sluggard_n to_o who_o a_o few_o line_n more_o than_o ordinary_a in_o spiritual_a matter_n seem_v to_o be_v so_o many_o lion_n lie_v in_o his_o way_n to_o keep_v he_o from_o read_v the_o same_o that_o few_o of_o many_o will_v hardly_o take_v the_o pain_n to_o travail_v to_o the_o end_n of_o any_o learned_a discourse_n though_o it_o be_v likely_a to_o prove_v never_o so_o profitable_a unto_o they_o at_o their_o journey_n end_n and_o many_o again_o be_v induce_v rather_o to_o read_v such_o thing_n as_o be_v short_a and_o compendious_a like_a man_n that_o love_v to_o go_v the_o near_a way_n home_o with_o a_o light_a burden_n in_o which_o respect_n i_o have_v presume_v to_o offer_v unto_o thou_o this_o short_a abridgement_n of_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o sabbaoth_v partly_o to_o thrust_v on_o the_o sluggard_n and_o partly_o to_o toll_v on_o the_o weary_a and_o faint_a and_o partly_o to_o help_v the_o memory_n of_o those_o that_o have_v read_v and_o forget_v again_o but_o chief_o to_o stir_v up_o they_o with_o myself_o to_o a_o more_o careful_a and_o conscionable_a practice_n of_o the_o same_o herein_o know_v that_o i_o have_v but_o imitate_v those_o traveller_n who_o have_v be_v in_o other_o country_n have_v make_v a_o brief_a collection_n of_o such_o thing_n as_o they_o have_v observe_v and_o deem_v memorable_a tell_v the_o world_n of_o many_o a_o fair_a city_n which_o they_o never_o build_v of_o many_o a_o goodly_a orchard_n which_o they_o never_o plant_v of_o many_o stately_a monument_n which_o they_o never_o erect_v and_o of_o many_o curious_a work_n which_o they_o never_o invent_v etc._n etc._n and_o all_o this_o yet_o not_o without_o some_o comfort_n to_o themselves_o and_o some_o delight_n to_o other_o &_o not_o without_o some_o provocation_n perhaps_o unto_o some_o to_o take_v the_o like_a or_o great_a journey_n to_o their_o further_a benefit_n and_o delight_n have_v learn_v that_o if_o a_o man_n do_v but_o even_o speak_v the_o same_o thing_n again_o which_o have_v be_v speak_v before_o it_o be_v not_o altogether_o a_o fruitless_a labour_n if_o i_o have_v add_v of_o my_o own_o as_o in_o some_o place_n i_o have_v though_o very_o little_a and_o follow_v i_o own_o method_n and_o order_n in_o the_o contrive_n of_o this_o poor_a ahridgement_n i_o have_v not_o do_v it_o without_o the_o approbation_n of_o many_o godly_a and_o learned_a both_o in_o the_o ministry_n and_o otherwise_o who_o judgement_n i_o must_v and_o do_v every_o way_n prefer_v before_o my_o own_o who_o have_v peruse_v the_o same_o have_v not_o only_o afford_v thereunto_o there_o good_a approbation_n but_o have_v also_o earnest_o entreat_v i_o many_o of_o they_o and_o encourage_v i_o all_o of_o they_o to_o publish_v the_o same_o whatsoever_o it_o be_v i_o do_v humble_o submit_v both_o myself_o and_o it_o to_o the_o charitable_a &_o christian_a censure_n of_o the_o reverend_a father_n and_o brethren_n of_o the_o church_n of_o christ_n and_o to_o the_o gracious_a blessing_n of_o the_o lord_n our_o heavenly_a father_n who_o will_v witness_v with_o i_o against_o all_o that_o shall_v be_v contrary_a mind_v that_o my_o principal_a care_n and_o desire_v herein_o
