watch_v weariness_n pain_n of_o body_n dash_v of_o mind_n heaviness_n of_o heart_n dolour_n anguish_n and_o perplexity_n of_o spirit_n yea_o of_o desertion_n to_o sense_n yea_o of_o the_o wrath_n and_o curse_n of_o god_n the_o feeling_n whereof_o may_v just_o be_v call_v a_o descend_v to_o hell_n christ_n in_o his_o own_o experience_n know_v what_o all_o such_o exercise_n be_v 2._o these_o take_v we_o unto_o himself_o that_o where_o he_o be_v we_o may_v be_v there_o also_o 4._o we_o have_v this_o high_a priest_n that_o be_v he_o be_v we_o because_o 1._o take_v out_o from_o among_o we_o one_o of_o our_o number_n albeit_o not_o of_o our_o condition_n of_o our_o nature_n but_o separate_v from_o our_o sinful_a manner_n holy_a and_o harmless_a 2._o because_o he_o be_v for_o we_o in_o our_o privilege_n and_o challenge_v they_o for_o our_o own_o 3._o that_o the_o weak_a of_o true_a believer_n in_o christ_n may_v thrust_v in_o themselves_o at_o the_o door_n of_o grace_n among_o the_o that_o they_o need_v not_o to_o change_v again_o that_o be_v must_v study_v to_o know_v the_o truth_n sound_o and_o solid_o 2._o and_o have_v learn_v it_o must_v not_o say_v and_o unsay_v one_o day_n perform_v that_o no_o constant_a professor_n of_o his_o truth_n shall_v be_v ashamed_a then_o 1._o where_o we_o have_v a_o promise_n of_o any_o thing_n make_v unto_o we_o in_o scripture_n we_o may_v be_v confident_a to_o obtain_v it_o and_o bold_a to_o avow_v our_o hope_n thereof_o against_o such_o as_o will_v teach_v we_o the_o doctrine_n of_o doubt_v whereunto_o we_o be_v of_o ourselves_o by_o give_v of_o direction_n to_o further_a their_o obedience_n thereunto_o and_o first_o for_o mutual_a up-stirring_a one_o of_o another_o whereof_o we_o learn_v 1._o that_o mutual_a edification_n of_o christian_n among_o themselves_o and_o sharpen_v one_o of_o another_o be_v a_o special_a help_n to_o constancy_n in_o true_a religion_n and_o a_o preservative_n against_o apostasy_n 2._o the_o day_n approach_v another_o mean_a to_o this_o same_o end_n be_v the_o frequent_v of_o christian_a assembly_n and_o meeting_n which_o may_v further_o this_o purpose_n of_o mutual_a edification_n and_o therefore_o 1._o church-assembly_n must_v be_v well_o keep_v by_o such_o as_o do_v mind_n to_o prove_v constant_a in_o the_o true_a religion_n 2._o christian_n meeting_n also_o of_o private_a christian_n for_o mutual_a conference_n and_o exhort_v one_o of_o another_o be_v not_o to_o be_v neglect_v nor_o forsake_v but_o to_o be_v use_v for_o keep_v unity_n in_o the_o church_n and_o not_o to_o foster_v schism_n or_o hinder_v the_o public_a assembly_n 2._o he_o tax_v the_o fault_n of_o some_o among_o they_o who_o in_o schism_n or_o purpose_n of_o apostasy_n withdraw_v themselves_o from_o all_o church-assembly_n and_o christian-meeting_n and_o fall_v back_o again_o or_o be_v in_o the_o way_n of_o fall_v back_o to_o the_o denial_n of_o christ_n open_o then_o 1._o separation_n from_o the_o true_a church_n and_o christian_a society_n of_o the_o faithful_a be_v a_o remarkable_a evil_n 2._o the_o schism_n or_o apostasy_n of_o other_o shall_v not_o weaken_v we_o in_o follow_v any_o good_a mean_a of_o edification_n but_o rather_o stir_v we_o up_o unto_o more_o diligence_n lest_o by_o negligence_n we_o fall_v piece_n and_o piece_n back_o after_o their_o example_n 3._o he_o make_v the_o approach_a of_o the_o day_n to_o wit_n of_o god_n judgement_n a_o special_a motive_n to_o use_v the_o mean_n diligent_o and_o make_v we_o constant_a in_o the_o faith_n then_o 1._o the_o seven_o argument_n vers._n 3._o know_v this_o that_o the_o trial_n of_o your_o faith_n work_v patience_n arg._n 1._o those_o temptation_n be_v the_o trial_n of_o your_o faith_n the_o polish_n of_o it_o and_o bring_v it_o into_o open_a view_n therefore_o you_o ought_v to_o esteem_v it_o matter_n of_o great_a joy_n when_o you_o fall_v into_o divers_a ttmptation_n work_v argum._n 2._o because_o this_o exercise_n will_v bring_v forth_o patience_n in_o you_o which_o be_v of_o great_a price_n than_o that_o your_o affliction_n may_v be_v compare_v with_o it_o therefore_o etc._n etc._n vers._n 4._o but_o let_v patience_n have_v her_o perfect_a work_n that_o you_o may_v be_v perfect_a and_o enâ—ire_a want_v nothing_o argum._n 3._o join_v with_o a_o exhortation_n there_o be_v need_n of_o divers_a affliction_n and_o that_o they_o stay_v upon_o you_o viz._n so_o long_o as_o god_n shall_v see_v fit_a that_o the_o work_n of_o patience_n may_v be_v perfect_v and_o that_o you_o that_o have_v other_o endowment_n may_v also_o have_v the_o gift_n of_o patience_n and_o so_o the_o image_n of_o christ_n may_v be_v complete_v in_o you_o that_o nothing_o may_v be_v want_v to_o you_o for_o perfection_n of_o the_o part_n of_o holiness_n therefore_o you_o ought_v to_o count_v it_o all_o joy_n when_o you_o fall_v into_o affliction_n vers._n 5._o if_o any_o of_o you_o lack_v wisdom_n let_v he_o ask_v it_o of_o god_n that_o give_v to_o all_o man_n liberal_o and_o upbraid_v not_o and_o it_o shall_v be_v give_v he_o argum._n 4._o propound_v by_o way_n of_o answer_n to_o a_o objection_n gift_n not_o doubt_v whether_o god_n will_v grant_v that_o necessary_a gift_n promise_v to_o he_o of_o which_o confidence_n require_v and_o waver_v prohibit_v he_o give_v three_o reason_n for_o he_o reas._n 1_o because_o he_o that_o waver_v be_v toss_v hither_o and_o thither_o in_o his_o prayer_n doubtful_a whether_o he_o shall_v find_v god_n true_a and_o merciful_a be_v like_a to_o wave_n of_o the_o sea_n which_o be_v by_o the_o wind_n drive_v hither_o and_o thither_o and_o vanish_v without_o profit_n vers._n 7._o for_o let_v not_o that_o man_n think_v that_o he_o shall_v receive_v anything_o of_o the_o lord_n reas._n 2._o because_o that_o waver_a which_o end_v not_o in_o the_o conclusion_n of_o faith_n make_v prayer_n of_o none_o effect_n which_o god_n do_v not_o grant_v vers._n 8._o a_o double-minded_n man_n be_v unstable_a in_o all_o his_o way_n reas._o 3_o because_o such_o a_o unfaithful_a doubter_n or_o uncertain_a what_o to_o determine_v be_v unstable_a and_o unconstant_a in_o his_o counsel_n and_o action_n and_o no_o less_o ready_a to_o depart_v from_o god_n than_o to_o remain_v with_o he_o hold_v nothing_o firm_o in_o the_o present_a business_n of_o religion_n which_o be_v before_o he_o vers._n 9_o let_v the_o brother_n of_o low_a degree_n rejoice_v in_o that_o he_o be_v exalt_v he_o return_v to_o his_o purpose_n and_o add_v the_o five_o argument_n to_o prove_v that_o in_o the_o exercise_n of_o the_o cross_n there_o may_v be_v matter_n of_o joy_n he_o that_o through_o affliction_n or_o the_o cross_n be_v humble_v by_o the_o lord_n can_v glory_v in_o his_o trial_n as_o in_o the_o mark_n of_o his_o adoption_n and_o exaltation_n to_o the_o dignity_n of_o be_v a_o adopt_a son_n of_o god_n and_o to_o the_o privilege_n of_o the_o saint_n which_o preferment_n do_v far_o surpass_v the_o riches_n of_o the_o rich_a and_o the_o throne_n of_o king_n therefore_o you_o ought_v to_o glory_v in_o the_o trial_n which_o the_o cross_n make_v vers._n 10._o but_o the_o rich_a in_o that_o he_o be_v make_v low_o because_o as_o the_o flower_n of_o the_o grass_n he_o shall_v pass_v away_o 11._o for_o the_o sun_n be_v no_o soon_o rise_v with_o a_o burn_a heat_n but_o it_o wither_v the_o grass_n and_o the_o flower_n thereof_o fall_v and_o the_o grace_n of_o the_o fashion_n of_o it_o perish_v so_o also_o shall_v the_o rich_a man_n fade_v away_o in_o his_o way_n argum._n 6._o he_o that_o be_v rich_a and_o yet_o untouched_a by_o persecutor_n and_o affliction_n have_v no_o matter_n of_o joy_n in_o his_o prosperity_n but_o in_o the_o abasement_n of_o his_o mind_n or_o in_o his_o preparation_n to_o bear_v the_o cross_n or_o affliction_n with_o other_o that_o be_v afflict_v because_o the_o reason_n be_v give_v because_o he_o that_o be_v not_o so_o wise_a but_o trust_v in_o his_o riches_n be_v vain_a and_o shall_v come_v to_o nothing_o as_o the_o flower_n of_o the_o grass_n shall_v wither_v and_o perish_v with_o all_o
