have_v receive_v some_o grievous_a wound_n therefore_o it_o tremble_v and_o languish_v as_o a_o sick_a body_n who_o dry_v up_o with_o grief_n by_o little_a and_o little_a in_o the_o end_n dicth_v except_o he_o have_v some_o remedy_n against_o his_o sickness_n for_o the_o like_a happen_v to_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n through_o grief_n as_o long_o as_o it_o be_v within_o it_o insomuch_o that_o it_o never_o forsake_v it_o until_o it_o have_v quite_o dry_v up_o and_o consume_v the_o same_o and_o therefore_o as_o there_o be_v pleasure_n and_o rest_n in_o joy_n so_o in_o sorrow_n there_o be_v dolour_n and_o torment_n for_o it_o engender_v melancholy_a melancholy_n and_o melancholy_a engender_v it_o and_o increase_v it_o more_o so_o that_o we_o often_o see_v melancholy_a man_n very_o sad_a although_o no_o harm_n have_v befall_v they_o neither_o can_v they_o give_v any_o reason_n of_o their_o heaviness_n moreover_o this_o black_a melancholy_a humour_n be_v of_o this_o nature_n that_o it_o will_v make_v the_o spirit_n and_o mind_n darkish_a whereby_o it_o grow_v to_o be_v blockish_a &_o the_o heart_n lose_v all_o his_o cheerfulness_n and_o because_o the_o brain_n be_v cool_v thereby_o it_o wax_v very_o heavy_a &_o drowsy_a now_o when_o grief_n be_v in_o great_a measure_n sorrow_n it_o bring_v withal_o a_o kind_n of_o loathe_v &_o tediousness_n which_o cause_v a_o man_n to_o hate_v &_o to_o be_v weary_a of_o all_o thing_n even_o of_o the_o light_n and_o of_o a_o man_n self_n so_o that_o he_o shall_v take_v pleasure_n in_o nothing_o but_o in_o his_o melancholy_n in_o feed_v himself_o therewithal_o in_o plunge_v himself_o deep_a into_o it_o and_o in_o refuse_v of_o all_o joy_n and_o consolation_n to_o conclude_v some_o grow_v so_o far_o as_o to_o hate_v in_o sorrow_n the_o heart_n dry_v up_o and_o gather_v itself_o in_o so_o it_o cause_v the_o face_n which_o be_v the_o image_n of_o it_o to_o retire_v and_o draw_v back_o yea_o it_o deprive_v the_o face_n of_o all_o colour_n and_o cause_v it_o to_o fall_v away_o brief_o it_o mar_v all_o health_n and_o have_v for_o continual_a companion_n sigh_n plaint_n groan_n tear_n and_o weep_v and_o oftentimes_o gnash_v of_o tooth_n as_o it_o be_v write_v of_o the_o damn_a because_o of_o that_o sorrow_n and_o indignation_n in_o which_o they_o be_v by_o reason_n of_o the_o torment_n which_o they_o suffer_v it_o be_v true_a that_o the_o most_o of_o these_o thing_n serve_v as_o a_o remedy_n against_o sorrow_n for_o howsoever_o grief_n shut_v up_o the_o heart_n as_o we_o have_v say_v yet_o by_o groan_v sigh_v and_o weep_v the_o heart_n do_v in_o some_o sort_n open_v itself_o as_o if_o it_o will_v come_v forth_o to_o breathe_v least_o be_v whole_o shut_v up_o with_o sorrow_n it_o shall_v be_v stifle_v again_o tear_n be_v give_v unto_o we_o to_o testify_v our_o grief_n and_o to_o manifest_v it_o to_o other_o that_o we_o may_v move_v they_o to_o have_v pity_n and_o compassion_n on_o we_o and_o to_o help_v and_o succour_v us._n they_o serve_v we_o further_a to_o declare_v what_o compassion_n we_o have_v of_o other_o man_n sorrow_n and_o grief_n tear_n which_o use_n be_v very_o necessary_a for_o we_o to_o get_v and_o preserve_v friendship_n one_o towards_o a_o other_o and_o for_o our_o mutual_a comfort_n and_o consolation_n for_o we_o be_v great_o comfort_v when_o we_o see_v any_o take_v pity_n and_o compassion_n of_o us._n wherefore_o when_o we_o can_v not_o otherwise_o solace_v they_o that_o be_v grieve_v but_o only_o by_o declare_v that_o we_o be_v sorrowful_a for_o their_o heaviness_n and_o for_o those_o evilles_n which_o they_o suffer_v yet_o do_v that_o afford_v great_a consolation_n and_o although_o it_o seem_v a_o easy_a matter_n to_o give_v this_o comfort_n aser_n upon_o this_o matter_n of_o the_o cause_n why_o god_n have_v place_v these_o affection_n of_o joy_n and_o sorrow_n in_o the_o heart_n of_o true_a and_o false_a joy_n and_o of_o good_a and_o bad_a hope_n chap._n 45._o aser._n man_n have_v common_o sharp_a wit_n to_o know_v vain_a earthly_a and_o carnal_a thing_n but_o as_o for_o heavenly_a true_a &_o eternal_a thing_n they_o be_v able_a for_o the_o most_o part_n to_o understand_v nothing_o so_o that_o we_o may_v compare_v the_o eye_n of_o their_o soul_n to_o the_o eye_n of_o a_o owl_n comparison_n which_o see_v clear_o by_o night_n but_o when_o the_o sun_n be_v rise_v see_v never_o a_o whit_n even_o so_o man_n have_v some_o knowledge_n of_o the_o troublesome_a thing_n of_o this_o world_n but_o his_o sight_n can_v pierce_v unto_o the_o celestial_a and_o divine_a light_n therefore_o it_o fall_v out_o often_o that_o be_v beguile_v by_o his_o own_o sense_n and_o reason_n instead_o of_o good_a and_o joy_n he_o choose_v and_o follow_v after_o that_o which_o be_v evil_a and_o full_a of_o grief_n for_o when_o the_o affection_n of_o the_o heart_n which_o natural_o desire_v good_a and_o seek_v after_o joy_n be_v miss_v and_o deceive_v by_o humane_a reason_n it_o easy_o embrace_v evil_a in_o place_n of_o good_a and_o that_o under_o some_o vain_a show_n of_o good_a which_o seem_v to_o be_v in_o that_o evil_a thing_n it_o choose_v and_o although_o at_o the_o first_o the_o heart_n feel_v not_o that_o which_o happen_v unto_o it_o yet_o have_v it_o leisure_n enough_o after_o to_o complain_v of_o the_o torment_n which_o be_v always_o equal_a both_o for_o age_n and_o time_n to_o the_o fault_n commit_v and_o to_o the_o abuse_n of_o those_o gift_n and_o grace_n which_o god_n have_v place_v in_o the_o nature_n of_o the_o soul_n forasmuch_o then_o as_o the_o heart_n be_v the_o begin_n of_o life_n we_o may_v well_o know_v that_o god_n have_v not_o without_o good_a cause_n place_v therein_o such_o vehement_a affection_n of_o joy_n &_o grief_n which_o serve_v either_o to_o preserve_v or_o to_o destroy_v it_o and_o have_v for_o their_o companion_n hope_v and_o fear_n as_o we_o will_v declare_v hereafter_o for_o by_o these_o affection_n god_n will_v give_v we_o prick_v and_o solicitour_n to_o cause_v we_o to_o think_v serious_o of_o that_o lesson_n which_o david_n give_v we_o when_o he_o say_v taste_v you_o and_o and_o imagination_n of_o evil_a approach_n or_o a_o perturbation_n of_o the_o soul_n proceed_v from_o the_o opinion_n it_o have_v of_o some_o evil_n to_o come_v but_o it_o be_v also_o a_o contraction_n and_o close_v up_o of_o the_o heart_n which_o come_v from_o that_o which_o every_o one_o judge_v to_o be_v evil_a for_o himself_o when_o he_o think_v it_o be_v at_o hand_n and_o will_v light_v upon_o he_o therefore_o first_o of_o all_o it_o draw_v in_o and_o shut_v up_o the_o heart_n and_o so_o weaken_v the_o same_o whereupon_o nature_n be_v desirous_a to_o relieve_v and_o succour_v moderate_a grief_n and_o fear_n be_v natural_o in_o we_o for_o the_o preservation_n of_o our_o be_v yea_o all_o these_o affection_n be_v endue_v with_o the_o quality_n of_o commendable_a virtue_n if_o they_o respect_v the_o sovereign_a good_a of_o man_n as_o we_o may_v learn_v by_o our_o former_a speech_n touch_v this_o matter_n which_o be_v chief_o of_o good_a affection_n and_o of_o such_o as_o for_o if_o he_o sudden_o retire_v as_o if_o he_o touch_v a_o serpent_n and_o fear_v to_o be_v bite_v he_o will_v depart_v so_o far_o from_o it_o that_o it_o can_v hurt_v he_o but_o if_o he_o stay_v in_o it_o and_o like_o it_o never_o so_o little_a he_o can_v withdraw_v himself_o in_o such_o due_a time_n but_o that_o he_o shall_v feel_v some_o hurt_n thereby_o for_o evil_a be_v like_a to_o thorn_n which_o a_o man_n can_v come_v near_o unto_o or_o handle_v they_o but_o he_o shall_v be_v prick_v as_o likewise_o no_o man_n can_v touch_v pitch_n and_o not_o be_v defile_v therewith_o offence_n but_o the_o remedy_n to_o cure_v offence_n so_o far_o forth_o as_o it_o be_v vicious_a be_v the_o moderation_n of_o the_o heart_n whereby_o it_o become_v so_o deep_a and_o so_o well_o temper_v that_o it_o be_v able_a with_o ease_n to_o swallow_v up_o and_o to_o digest_v those_o trouble_n and_o offence_n which_o other_o can_v in_o no_o wise_a bear_n or_o endure_v but_o now_o that_o we_o know_v what_o this_o affection_n be_v we_o may_v easy_o conceive_v how_o it_o breed_v contempt_n for_o contempt_n be_v a_o offence_n and_o displeasure_n conceive_v of_o some_o evil_n that_o can_v courageous_a and_o most_o dangerous_a other_o wax_v read_v because_o the_o blood_n ascend_v up_o to_o the_o head_n therefore_o these_o be_v not_o so_o full_a of_o stomach_n nor_o so_o much_o to_o be_v who_o we_o be_v and_o compare_v ourselves_o with_o god_n and_o mark_v narow_o how_o many_o way_n we_o offend_v he_o daily_o what_o cause_v we_o give_v he_o to_o be_v bitter_o incite_v and_o kindele_v with_o wrath_n against_o we_o and_o how_o he_o bear_v with_o we_o turn_v his_o anger_n into_o pity_n and_o compassion_n towards_o us._n for_o if_o we_o enter_v into_o this_o consideration_n first_o we_o shall_v be_v great_o ashamed_a that_o we_o be_v angry_a second_o our_o anger_n will_v be_v easy_o appease_v for_o who_o can_v despise_v we_o as_o we_o deserve_v and_o move_v we_o to_o anger_n see_v we_o despise_v god_n unto_o who_o we_o owe_v all_o honour_n and_o reverence_n and_o who_o we_o ought_v to_o set_v at_o so_o high_a a_o price_n above_o all_o other_o thing_n that_o we_o shall_v and_o which_o be_v most_o necessary_a for_o we_o and_o in_o regard_n whereof_o he_o call_v himself_o proper_o our_o god_n and_o our_o father_n but_o as_o he_o kindle_v the_o sparkle_n of_o love_n in_o their_o heart_n that_o be_v upright_o and_o sincere_a that_o love_n &_o honour_v he_o which_o work_v in_o they_o so_o great_a joy_n and_o consolation_n that_o all_o other_o joy_n and_o pleasure_n be_v nothing_o unto_o they_o in_o respect_n of_o that_o so_o contrariwise_o if_o we_o turn_v aside_o and_o separate_v ourselves_o from_o he_o oppose_v ourselves_o against_o his_o wisdom_n and_o will_n as_o rebellious_a subject_n to_o their_o prince_n violate_v all_o his_o law_n and_o statute_n he_o kindle_v in_o we_o firebrand_n of_o his_o wrath_n and_o fury_n which_o work_n in_o we_o extreme_a grief_n torment_n so_o that_o we_o can_v bear_v they_o but_o be_v consume_v by_o they_o for_o in_o this_o corruption_n and_o perverseness_n of_o nature_n our_o heart_n burn_v with_o the_o flame_n of_o this_o infernal_a fire_n with_o which_o it_o be_v kindele_v and_o which_o strive_v against_o reason_n and_o right_a judgement_n even_o before_o it_o have_v commit_v the_o fault_n neither_o do_v it_o fear_v afterward_o to_o commit_v the_o same_o how_o great_a and_o enormous_a soever_o it_o be_v but_o forasmuch_o as_o it_o belong_v to_o the_o justice_n of_o god_n to_o destroy_v that_o nature_n which_o be_v disobedient_a unto_o he_o he_o have_v establish_v this_o order_n namely_o that_o sorrow_n &_o grief_n as_o it_o be_v the_o hangman_n shall_v punish_v and_o destroy_v they_o that_o be_v guilty_a destroy_v they_o for_o it_o be_v like_a to_o a_o fire_n which_o have_v be_v cover_v or_o smother_v afterwards_o kindele_v again_o and_o gather_v strength_n when_o it_o be_v uncover_v and_o receive_v air_n if_o it_o have_v matter_n whereupon_o it_o may_v work_v for_o beside_o that_o natural_a grief_n which_o have_v this_o office_n god_n add_v thereunto_o horrible_a fear_n and_o terror_n whereby_o he_o overwhelm_v the_o wicked_a as_o if_o he_o thunder_v upon_o they_o so_o that_o even_o here_o they_o feel_v their_o hell_n and_o the_o fire_n of_o god_n wrath_n take_v hold_n of_o they_o yea_o they_o carry_v about_o they_o their_o infern_z all_o fury_n which_o be_v unto_o they_o instead_o of_o hangman_n thus_o we_o may_v learn_v fire_n how_o we_o carry_v about_o with_o we_o the_o matter_n of_o two_o fire_n the_o one_o celestial_a and_o divine_a the_o other_o infernal_a and_o devilish_a wherefore_o let_v we_o consider_v well_o with_o ourselves_o which_o of_o they_o we_o have_v rather_o have_v kindele_v in_o we_o and_o which_o we_o ought_v to_o desire_v most_o either_o that_o which_o give_v we_o both_o light_n and_o heat_n and_o preserve_v we_o in_o the_o hope_n of_o true_a life_n or_o else_o that_o which_o burn_v and_o consume_v we_o and_o do_v whole_o deprive_v we_o of_o that_o life_n now_o sure_o they_o be_v very_o wretched_a who_o desire_v not_o that_o which_o be_v most_o agreeable_a to_o their_o own_o nature_n &_o utter_o detest_v and_o abhor_v the_o other_o for_o as_o we_o delight_v in_o the_o fire_n because_o it_o give_v we_o light_a and_o warm_v we_o so_o we_o fear_v great_o to_o be_v burn_v and_o consume_v by_o it_o 29._o now_o both_o these_o sort_n of_o fire_n we_o find_v in_o god_n for_o he_o be_v a_o fire_n to_o give_v light_n and_o warmth_n to_o they_o that_o approach_n &_o draw_v near_o unto_o he_o and_o desire_v to_o walk_v in_o his_o light_n but_o contrariwise_o he_o be_v a_o consume_a fire_n 30._o join_v with_o smoke_n and_o obscurity_n to_o they_o who_o by_o rebellion_n &_o disobedience_n rush_v against_o he_o for_o this_o cause_n the_o fire_n of_o hell_n &_o of_o god_n wrath_n which_o be_v prepare_v for_o the_o devil_n and_o for_o all_o the_o reprobate_n be_v call_v eternal_a fire_n in_o the_o holy_a scripture_n that_o be_v never_o put_v out_o &_o the_o pain_n and_o torment_n of_o the_o damn_a be_v likewise_o call_v darkness_n without_o where_o shall_v be_v weep_a and_o gnash_n of_o tooth_n and_o to_o the_o end_n we_o may_v know_v the_o nature_n of_o this_o fire_n the_o better_a god_n have_v put_v sparkle_n thereof_o within_o us._n wherefore_o we_o be_v only_o to_o consider_v what_o matter_n we_o bring_v to_o kindle_v and_o increase_v either_o the_o one_o or_o the_o other_o either_o for_o the_o preservation_n of_o our_o nature_n and_o life_n appoint_v unto_o we_o by_o god_n or_o else_o for_o the_o overthrow_n and_o destruction_n thereof_o and_o by_o the_o sense_n and_o feeling_n which_o we_o may_v have_v here_o of_o that_o joy_n gladness_n and_o contentation_n which_o the_o
knowledge_n of_o god_n and_o obedience_n to_o his_o will_n bring_v to_o our_o heart_n we_o may_v also_o judge_v whether_o there_o be_v a_o paradise_n and_o another_o life_n and_o other_o joy_n beside_o this_o which_o we_o receive_v by_o corporal_a pleasure_n as_o beast_n do_v for_o this_o joy_n that_o come_v to_o we_o from_o such_o pleasure_n be_v common_a to_o we_o with_o they_o &_o usual_o it_o end_v in_o sorrow_n and_o sadness_n but_o they_o have_v no_o other_o that_o come_v unto_o their_o soul_n of_o which_o they_o may_v have_v any_o apprehension_n as_o we_o have_v and_o by_o the_o same_o consideration_n we_o may_v also_o in_o some_o sort_n judge_n of_o that_o happiness_n in_o which_o we_o shall_v be_v in_o the_o other_o life_n when_o this_o joy_n shall_v be_v perfect_a in_o we_o whereof_o we_o have_v here_o but_o a_o very_a small_a taste_n in_o respect_n of_o that_o we_o shall_v have_v when_o we_o shall_v be_v full_o reform_v according_a to_o god_n image_n so_o that_o both_o our_o understanding_n reason_n &_o will_n shall_v be_v make_v comformable_a unto_o he_o because_o we_o shall_v be_v whole_o swallow_v up_o in_o his_o love_n contrariwise_o life_n if_o here_o we_o feel_v a_o hell_n which_o we_o carry_v about_o we_o and_o which_o great_o torment_v we_o after_o we_o have_v offend_v the_o majesty_n of_o god_n especial_o when_o we_o have_v commit_v some_o horrible_a crime_n this_o also_o be_v another_o argument_n whereby_o we_o may_v judge_v whether_o there_o be_v not_o a_o hell_n and_o vengeance_n from_o god_n to_o be_v execute_v upon_o his_o enemy_n in_o another_o life_n for_o that_o sorrow_n which_o our_o crime_n commit_v do_v breed_v in_o our_o heart_n be_v within_o we_o as_o a_o brand_n of_o this_o fire_n of_o god_n wrath_n which_o be_v daily_o kindle_v in_o we_o more_o &_o more_o wherefore_o if_o there_o be_v in_o we_o already_o such_o a_o vehement_a heat_n thereof_o when_o as_o yet_o the_o lord_n do_v kindle_v but_o a_o little_a the_o firebrand_n of_o his_o wrath_n in_o our_o heart_n how_o great_a shall_v it_o then_o be_v when_o all_o his_o wrath_n shall_v be_v set_v on_o fire_n certain_o they_o be_v very_o dull_a that_o do_v not_o well_o consider_v and_o understand_v it_o now_o we_o have_v hear_v heretofore_o how_o the_o heathen_a philosopher_n conclude_v the_o immortality_n of_o man_n soul_n by_o the_o nature_n thereof_o soul_n affirm_v that_o it_o be_v not_o create_v or_o compound_v of_o corruptible_a matter_n but_o be_v of_o a_o celestial_a and_o divine_a nature_n by_o reason_n of_o that_o knowledge_n which_o it_o have_v not_o only_o of_o particular_a and_o corporal_a thing_n as_o the_o soul_n of_o beast_n have_v but_o also_o of_o universal_a and_o spiritual_a thing_n and_o namely_o of_o god_n of_o number_n of_o order_n of_o the_o difference_n between_o virtue_n and_o vice_n and_o between_o honest_a and_o dishonest_a thing_n for_o the_o knowledge_n of_o all_o these_o thing_n be_v so_o natural_a to_o man_n soul_n that_o they_o be_v within_o they_o albeit_o they_o have_v not_o receive_v they_o from_o without_o either_o by_o doctrine_n or_o instruction_n whereby_o a_o man_n may_v easy_o judge_v yea_o it_o follow_v necessary_o that_o they_o be_v create_v of_o a_o more_o excellent_a nature_n than_o be_v that_o of_o the_o element_n of_o a_o nature_n that_o be_v incorruptible_a and_o perpetual_a wherefore_o it_o be_v very_o evident_a that_o this_o knowledge_n thus_o natural_a to_o man_n soul_n be_v a_o certain_a testimony_n that_o they_o be_v not_o bear_v at_o all_o adventure_n but_o be_v create_v by_o great_a art_n and_o by_o a_o wonder_a providence_n of_o that_o divine_a and_o eternal_a nature_n by_o which_o they_o have_v their_o be_v namely_o god_n their_o creator_n for_o which_o cause_n also_o the_o knowledge_n of_o he_o shine_v in_o us._n so_o also_o we_o may_v well_o judge_v that_o god_n have_v not_o in_o vain_a place_v in_o our_o nature_n the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o difference_n that_o be_v between_o virtue_n and_o vice_n between_o thing_n honest_a and_o dishonest_a and_o that_o grief_n which_o be_v to_o take_v vengeance_n in_o we_o of_o those_o vice_n and_o crime_n of_o which_o we_o feel_v ourselves_o guilty_a and_o therefore_o the_o heathen_a themselves_n conclude_v that_o there_o be_v not_o only_o a_o divine_a justice_n and_o nature_n which_o discern_v good_a man_n from_o evil_a but_o also_o that_o there_o be_v another_o life_n after_o this_o in_o which_o this_o judgement_n shall_v be_v make_v for_o they_o consider_v what_o great_a torment_v the_o wicked_a feel_v in_o their_o heart_n and_o conscience_n after_o they_o have_v commit_v horrible_a crime_n and_o that_o there_o be_v none_o so_o audacious_a and_o obdurate_a not_o the_o great_a mocker_n and_o contemner_n of_o god_n and_o of_o his_o judgment_n that_o can_v be_v who_o can_v always_o exempt_v himself_o from_o this_o dolour_n and_o pain_n notwithstanding_o he_o labour_v with_o all_o his_o might_n to_o the_o contrary_n for_o there_o be_v always_o a_o certain_a secret_a virtue_n of_o god_n justice_n which_o go_v beyond_o they_o all_o and_o evermore_o punish_v the_o wicked_a now_o it_o be_v certain_a that_o these_o thing_n come_v not_o thus_o to_o pass_v at_o all_o adventure_n in_o like_a manner_n immortality_n it_o be_v not_o possible_a that_o this_o knowledge_n which_o man_n have_v to_o discern_v virtue_n from_o vice_n shall_v be_v a_o casual_a thing_n and_o come_v thus_o to_o pass_v at_o adventure_n without_o the_o certain_a providence_n of_o god_n for_o if_o it_o be_v so_o that_o there_o be_v no_o punishment_n appoint_v for_o vice_n and_o no_o more_o benefit_n or_o joy_n prepare_v of_o god_n for_o the_o good_a then_o for_o the_o evil_a it_o shall_v follow_v that_o all_o this_o knowledge_n shall_v be_v give_v to_o man_n in_o vain_a for_o it_o shall_v do_v he_o no_o more_o good_a than_o if_o he_o be_v without_o it_o as_o brute_n beast_n be_v moreover_o see_v all_o the_o wicked_a be_v not_o punish_v in_o this_o life_n it_o follow_v necessary_o that_o there_o be_v another_o life_n wherein_o they_o shall_v be_v punish_v and_o in_o which_o also_o god_n will_v acknowledge_v the_o just_a and_o cause_v they_o to_o enjoy_v that_o good_a which_o he_o have_v prepare_v for_o they_o for_o god_n can_v be_v god_n but_o he_o must_v be_v all-good_a aliust_a and_o almighty_a if_o he_o be_v good_a he_o can_v hate_v the_o good_a or_o they_o that_o do_v it_o but_o love_v they_o so_o as_o that_o he_o can_v do_v otherwise_o for_o how_o shall_v he_o not_o love_v his_o like_a and_o as_o he_o can_v hate_v goodness_n or_o good_a man_n so_o he_o can_v love_v evil_a nor_o the_o wicked_a that_o follow_v after_o it_o but_o hate_v they_o necessary_o as_o contrary_a to_o his_o nature_n now_o love_n be_v of_o that_o nature_n hatred_n that_o it_o can_v but_o desire_v and_o procure_v the_o good_a and_o honour_n of_o he_o who_o it_o love_v as_o contrariwise_o hatred_n can_v but_o desire_v and_o procure_v the_o hurt_n and_o dishonour_n of_o he_o who_o it_o hate_v it_o follow_v then_o necessary_o that_o god_n be_v good_a and_o just_a love_v good_a and_o just_a man_n desire_v and_o procure_v their_o honour_n and_o their_o good_a and_o contrariwise_o that_o he_o hate_v unjust_a and_o wicked_a man_n desire_v and_o procure_v their_o confusion_n and_o ruin_n and_o if_o he_o have_v this_o desire_n and_o this_o will_n no_o doubt_n but_o he_o can_v easy_o and_o do_v also_o execute_v the_o same_o see_v he_o be_v all-iust_a and_o almighty_a true_o this_o conclusion_n can_v seem_v to_o be_v ill_o ground_v and_o those_o heathen_a philosopher_n who_o thereupon_o have_v conclude_v the_o immortality_n of_o soul_n and_o the_o judgement_n of_o god_n in_o another_o life_n have_v good_a reason_n so_o to_o do_v for_o it_o be_v take_v not_o only_o from_o the_o nature_n of_o man_n and_o from_o that_o image_n of_o god_n after_o which_o he_o be_v create_v but_o also_o from_o the_o very_a nature_n of_o god_n so_o that_o whosoever_o gainesay_v the_o same_o have_v no_o more_o reason_n than_o if_o he_o say_v that_o there_o be_v no_o god_n and_o that_o god_n be_v not_o god_n and_o that_o man_n be_v not_o man_n and_o that_o he_o differ_v in_o nothing_o from_o a_o beast_n neither_o god_n from_o the_o devil_n and_o so_o not_o only_o all_o nature_n shall_v be_v overthrown_a but_o god_n also_o the_o author_n and_o creator_n thereof_o for_o we_o see_v almost_o usual_o that_o the_o wicked_a man_n have_v the_o great_a honour_n in_o this_o world_n and_o live_v most_o at_o their_o ease_n as_o we_o have_v already_o show_v if_o then_o there_o be_v a_o god_n and_o any_o providence_n and_o justice_n in_o he_o now_o who_o can_v so_o much_o as_o think_v there_o be_v none_o but_o he_o may_v also_o persuade_v
