not_o exepect_v forgiveness_n nor_o any_o other_o blessing_n for_o want_n of_o true_a charity_n for_o we_o 1._o be_v hereby_o unfit_a to_o pray_v as_o we_o ought_v unfit_a to_o receive_v any_o blessing_n 2._o we_o desire_v no_o forgiveness_n because_o we_o forgive_v not_o other_o 3._o we_o desire_v rather_o a_o curse_n and_o god_n will_v not_o forgive_v we_o because_o we_o forgive_v not_o and_o so_o in_o effect_n we_o pray_v for_o our_o own_o condemnation_n 32._o may_v we_o not_o leave_v this_o petition_n then_o yet_o nevertheless_o christ_n sentence_n remain_v true_a except_o we_o charity_n 33._o who_o then_o can_v forgive_v sin_n god_n only_o original_o and_o total_o but_o 1._o the_o church_n authoritative_a from_o he_o and_o ministerialiter_fw-la 2._o man_n also_o partial_o and_o fraternialiter_fw-la for_o his_o part_n what_o lie_v in_o he_o 34._o but_o how_o can_v man_n forgive_v sin_n that_o part_n which_o pertain_v to_o he_o in_o the_o offence_n as_o 1._o the_o want_n of_o charity_n or_o breach_n of_o brotherly_a love_n 2._o the_o wrong_n or_o injury_n for_o which_o he_o owe_v satisfaction_n 35._o when_o man_n have_v forgive_v be_v the_o sin_n acquit_v not_o except_o god_n also_o forgive_v and_o wash_v out_o the_o offence_n in_o his_o mercy_n for_o the_o least_o part_n of_o sin_n even_o against_o man_n be_v that_o offence_n against_o man_n and_o the_o great_a part_n against_o god_n 1._o the_o blot_n of_o the_o soul_n 2._o the_o blemish_n of_o god_n image_n in_o the_o same_o 3._o the_o breach_n of_o his_o command_n and_o so_o contempt_n of_o his_o majesty_n which_o be_v the_o foul_a part_n right_o conceive_v of_o all_o sin_n and_o the_o poison_n of_o it_o 35._o what_o if_o man_n do_v not_o or_o will_v not_o forgive_v yet_o god_n may_v to_o the_o true_o penitent_a and_o he_o be_v full_o absolve_v though_o man_n refuse_v it_o if_o he_o be_v ask_v forgiveness_n since_o both_o the_o offendor_n and_o the_o offend_a person_n be_v but_o clay_n in_o god_n hand_n and_o they_o both_o whole_o he_o and_o all_o that_o they_o have_v and_o he_o may_v dispose_v of_o they_o and_o they_o absolute_o at_o his_o pleasure_n and_o if_o they_o stubborn_o refuse_v to_o forgive_v he_o both_o can_v and_o will_v forgive_v 36._o what_o need_v we_o ask_v forgiveness_n then_o of_o man_n or_o give_v it_o they_o 1._o to_o show_v our_o charity_n or_o brotherly_a love_n 2._o to_o maintain_v love_n and_o charity_n and_o emutuall_a duty_n 3._o to_o exercise_v our_o piety_n and_o faith_n and_o gain_v peace_n of_o conscience_n 4._o to_o express_v and_o any_o satisfaction_n he_o can_v in_o part_n or_o in_o penitence_n 38._o how_o be_v it_o forgive_v if_o satisfaction_n require_v if_o all_o malice_n and_o remembrance_n of_o injury_n be_v put_v away_o and_o all_o desire_n or_o seek_v revenge_n be_v lay_v aside_o the_o chief_a and_o best_a part_n perform_v and_o yet_o in_o many_o case_n satisfaction_n may_v be_v require_v lawful_o as_o where_o there_o be_v ability_n yea_o and_o sometime_o command_v if_o for_o public_a testimony_n of_o good_a name_n the_o truth_n or_o the_o like_a and_o otherwise_o though_o the_o debt_n or_o satisfaction_n of_o forgive_a forget_v and_o be_v in_o perfect_a charity_n 39_o who_o offend_v against_o this_o all_o such_o as_o either_o will_v 1_o not_o forget_v wrong_n and_o injury_n 2._o amplify_v they_o beyond_o measure_n or_o the_o truth_n 3._o not_o be_v courteous_a towards_o other_o imperfection_n or_o weakness_n 4._o not_o forgive_v be_v humble_o and_o penitent_o desire_v 5._o curse_n or_o revile_v their_o trespass_n 6._o study_v revenge_n or_o to_o hurt_v they_o again_o 7._o continue_v in_o malice_n hate_v or_o desire_v of_o revenge_n and_o so_o out_o of_o charity_n 40._o what_o then_o of_o david_n moses_n or_o other_o that_o curse_a or_o punish_v offence_n severe_o it_o be_v do_v of_o they_o both_o 1._o for_o the_o public_a glory_n of_o god_n 2._o by_o his_o particular_a command_n and_o direction_n 3._o not_o without_o the_o spirit_n of_o pprophecy_n 4._o against_o the_o note_a and_o open_a enemy_n of_o god_n 5._o as_o public_a magistrate_n 41._o how_o of_o the_o magistrate_n he_o must_v execute_v justice_n and_o give_v sentence_n according_a to_o right_n and_o only_o in_o some_o case_n after_o upon_o hope_n of_o amendment_n may_v extend_v mercy_n or_o grant_v pardon_n but_o not_o to_o the_o encouragement_n of_o any_o vice_n or_o wrong_n 42._o but_o who_o be_v so_o faithful_a and_o charitable_a that_o can_v as_o we_o ought_v so_o true_o and_o full_o forgive_v if_o of_o our_o own_o weakness_n it_o be_v a_o good_a sign_n of_o that_o spirit_n work_v in_o we_o that_o will_v effect_v his_o good_a work_n and_o that_o such_o our_o desire_n be_v accept_v and_o god_n will_v more_o perfect_a it_o for_o it_o be_v not_o say_v as_o we_o forgive_v or_o mean_v either_o 1._o in_o that_o measure_n that_o god_n forgive_v we_o 2._o as_o a_o mean_n or_o cause_n of_o merit_n in_o we_o 3._o as_o a_o pattern_n for_o god_n imitation_n of_o our_o imperfection_n in_o forgive_n 4._o in_o that_o extent_n god_n forgive_v total_o etc._n etc._n but_o to_o testify_v the_o truth_n and_o sincerity_n of_o our_o heart_n in_o this_o desire_n and_o the_o charity_n we_o be_v be_v in_o our_o heart_n unfeigned_o to_o our_o brother_n though_o we_o can_v perfect_o do_v what_o we_o desire_v and_o that_o we_o may_v consider_v how_o gracious_a before_o god_n even_o such_o good_a desire_n be_v that_o he_o preseribe_v it_o here_o for_o a_o condition_n 43._o how_o do_v the_o church_n forgive_v sin_n as_o by_o god_n power_n and_o commission_n give_v to_o it_o or_o the_o power_n of_o the_o key_n in_o foro_fw-la interiori_fw-la acquit_v the_o true_o penitent_a and_o in_o foro_fw-la
