be_v do_v in_o the_o state_n of_o grace_n and_o in_o the_o virtue_n of_o repentance_n but_o then_o the_o pardon_n be_v to_o be_v complete_v in_o the_o pursuance_n and_o integrity_n of_o that_o grace_n in_o the_o sum_n total_a for_o no_o man_n can_v say_v that_o so_o much_o sorrow_n or_o such_o a_o degree_n of_o repentance_n be_v enough_o to_o any_o sin_n he_o have_v do_v and_o yet_o a_o man_n can_v apportion_v to_o every_o sin_n large_a portion_n of_o special_a sorrow_n it_o must_v therefore_o be_v do_v all_o his_o life_n time_n and_o the_o little_a portion_n must_v be_v make_v up_o by_o the_o whole_a grace_n and_o state_n of_o repentance_n one_o instance_n be_v enough_o particular_o to_o express_v the_o anger_n or_o to_o apply_v the_o grace_n of_o repentance_n to_o any_o single_a sin_n which_o be_v not_o among_o the_o capital_n but_o no_o one_o instance_n be_v enough_o to_o extinguish_v it_o for_o sin_n be_v not_o pardon_v in_o a_o instant_n as_o i_o shall_v afterward_o discourse_v a_o cure_n or_o expiation_n of_o the_o past_a sin_n but_o every_o one_o of_o these_o in_o the_o virtue_n of_o repentance_n be_v effective_a to_o its_o part_n of_o the_o work_n that_o be_v he_o that_o repent_v and_o forsake_v they_o as_o he_o can_v shall_v be_v accept_v though_o the_o expression_n of_o his_o repentance_n be_v apply_v to_o his_o fault_n but_o in_o one_o or_o more_o of_o these_o single_a instance_n because_o all_o good_a work_v do_v in_o the_o faith_n of_o christ_n have_v a_o efficacy_n towards_o the_o extinction_n of_o those_o sin_n which_o can_v be_v avoid_v by_o any_o moral_a diligence_n there_o be_v no_o other_o thing_n on_o our_o part_n which_o can_v be_v do_v and_o if_o that_o which_o be_v unavoidable_a be_v also_o irremediable_a our_o condition_n will_v be_v intolerable_a and_o desperate_a to_o the_o sense_n of_o this_o advice_n we_o have_v the_o word_n of_o s._n gregory_n si_fw-mi quis_fw-la ergo_fw-la peccata_fw-la sua_fw-la tecta_fw-la esse_fw-la desiderat_fw-la deo_fw-la ea_fw-la per_fw-la vocem_fw-la confessionis_fw-la ostendat_fw-la etc._n etc._n if_o any_o man_n desire_v to_o have_v his_o sin_n cover_v let_v he_o first_o open_v they_o to_o god_n in_o confession_n but_o there_o be_v some_o sin_n which_o so_o long_o as_o we_o live_v in_o this_o world_n can_v hardly_o or_o indeed_o not_o at_o all_o be_v whole_o avoid_v by_o perfect_a man_n for_o holy_a man_n have_v something_o in_o this_o life_n which_o they_o ought_v to_o cover_v for_o it_o be_v altogether_o impossible_a that_o they_o shall_v never_o sin_v in_o word_n or_o thought_n therefore_o the_o man_n of_o god_n do_v study_v to_o cover_v the_o fault_n of_o their_o eye_n or_o tongue_n with_o good_a deed_n they_o study_v to_o overpower_v the_o number_n of_o their_o idle_a word_n with_o the_o weight_n of_o good_a work_n but_o how_o can_v it_o be_v that_o the_o fault_n of_o good_a man_n shall_v be_v cover_v when_o all_o thing_n be_v naked_a to_o the_o eye_n of_o god_n but_o only_o because_o that_o which_o be_v cover_v be_v put_v under_o something_o be_v bring_v over_o it_o our_o sin_n be_v cover_v when_o we_o bring_v
