be_v like_o the_o ground_n that_o oft_o receive_v the_o rain_n that_o fall_v upon_o it_o and_o yet_o bear_v or_o bring_v forth_o briar_n and_o thorn_n therefore_o they_o be_v nigh_o unto_o curse_v who_o end_n be_v to_o be_v burn_v and_o this_o the_o apostle_n hint_n of_o they_o in_o verse_n 7_o 8._o 3._o this_o inform_v we_o that_o man_n may_v go_v a_o great_a way_n in_o a_o visible_a profession_n of_o the_o gospel_n by_o common_a influence_n of_o the_o spirit_n and_o light_v improve_v by_o natural_a power_n and_o yet_o be_v in_o the_o gall_n of_o bitterness_n and_o bond_n of_o iniquity_n 4._o o_o bless_v god_n for_o the_o least_o degree_n of_o save_a grace_n have_v you_o love_n to_o god_n to_o his_o poor_a saint_n do_v you_o minister_v unto_o they_o for_o christ_n sake_n then_o have_v you_o obtain_v to_o a_o high_a degree_n of_o attainment_n than_o those_o ever_o have_v and_o no_o cause_n to_o fear_v your_o spiritual_a state_n and_o condition_n thus_o i_o have_v pass_v through_o the_o second_o thing_n i_o first_o propound_v to_o speak_v unto_o namely_o what_o those_o attainment_n be_v that_o be_v speak_v of_o the_o person_n in_o our_o text._n i_o shall_v that_o it_o be_v impossible_a 6._o to_o renew_v they_o again_o unto_o repentance_n either_o to_o such_o a_o repentance_n they_o once_o have_v or_o to_o true_a save_v and_o evangelical_n repentance_n the_o reason_n be_v by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n add_v see_v they_o crucify_v to_o themselves_o the_o son_n of_o god_n afresh_o and_o put_v he_o to_o open_a shame_n 1._o it_o be_v not_o doubtless_o impossible_a in_o respect_n of_o god_n absolute_a power_n have_v he_o not_o limit_v himself_o by_o a_o unchangeable_a decree_n but_o if_o he_o have_v determine_v to_o deny_v grace_n and_o all_o save_a influence_n of_o his_o spirit_n to_o these_o apostate_n that_o make_v it_o impossible_a for_o they_o ever_o to_o be_v renew_v which_o show_v we_o that_o
