of_o god_n but_o in_o all_o other_o place_n in_o your_o house_n in_o your_o shop_n and_o place_n of_o trade_n at_o board_n and_o at_o bed_n at_o home_o and_o abroad_o but_o yet_o for_o prevent_v of_o distraction_n and_o consider_v that_o satan_n be_v ready_a to_o take_v all_o advantage_n against_o we_o labour_v might_n and_o main_a by_o outward_a object_n to_o distract_v and_o divide_v the_o faculty_n of_o our_o soul_n with_o impertinent_a or_o unprofitable_a thought_n yea_o with_o sinful_a and_o corrupt_a thought_n therefore_o i_o conceive_v it_o necessary_a that_o the_o place_n where_o we_o meditate_v most_o serious_o and_o solemn_o shall_v be_v retire_v and_o secret_a the_o devil_n well_o know_v how_o near_o and_o familiar_a earthly_a thing_n be_v to_o our_o sense_n and_o how_o remote_a and_o far_o distant_a heavenly_a and_o supernatural_a thing_n be_v therefore_o he_o will_v fain_o work_v upon_o our_o carnality_n by_o present_v earthly_a object_n and_o by_o they_o will_v fain_o convey_v to_o our_o heart_n earthly-mindedness_a and_o so_o bereave_v we_o of_o the_o benefit_n of_o meditation_n so_o that_o i_o say_v to_o prevent_v the_o policy_n and_o malice_n of_o the_o devil_n it_o be_v best_a whenever_o we_o desire_v in_o good_a earnest_n to_o set_v upon_o this_o duty_n to_o withdraw_v ourselves_o into_o some_o private_a place_n into_o our_o chamber_n study_n or_o closert_n what_o our_o saviour_n speak_v concern_v the_o duty_n of_o prayer_n we_o may_v apply_v unto_o the_o duty_n of_o holy_a meditation_n matth._n 6.6_o when_o thou_o pray_v enter_v into_o thy_o
