if_o i_o think_v of_o his_o mercy_n and_o his_o mercy_n be_v over_o all_o his_o work_n i_o be_o then_o confound_v to_o think_v how_o it_o can_v be_v mercy_n in_o he_o to_o give_v the_o life_n of_o his_o son_n to_o save_v the_o life_n of_o his_o enemy_n a_o innocent_a for_o delinquent_n a_o lamb_n for_o wolf_n a_o god_n for_o man_n o_o my_o soul_n this_o may_v well_o be_v thy_o astonishment_n see_v it_o be_v the_o wonder_n of_o angel_n but_o though_o his_o jutice_n may_v be_v bring_v in_o question_n by_o it_o yet_o his_o mercy_n certain_o it_o make_v â—ut_v of_o question_n for_o what_o reat_a mercy_n then_o to_o save_v â—lany_n by_o one_o and_o many_o â—hat_n can_v not_o help_v themselves_o by_o one_o that_o can_v â—oth_o save_v himself_o and_o oâ—â—ers_n neither_o yet_o be_v his_o â—ustice_n bring_v in_o question_n by_o it_o for_o be_v it_o not_o just_a that_o as_o he_o do_v make_v man_n by_o his_o word_n which_o be_v his_o son_n so_o he_o shall_v save_v man_n by_o his_o son_n who_o be_v the_o word_n be_v it_o not_o just_a he_o shall_v employ_v his_o son_n where_o most_o honour_n may_v be_v get_v and_o be_v there_o any_o great_a honour_n than_o that_o which_o he_o have_v his_o justice_n yes_o my_o soul_n most_o worthy_a to_o be_v think_v of_o all_o of_o they_o but_o not_o so_o much_o or_o if_o as_o much_o in_o themselves_o yet_o not_o of_o we_o and_o therefore_o not_o so_o much_o of_o we_o because_o not_o communicate_v so_o much_o to_o we_o for_o his_o wisdom_n be_v to_o we_o a_o secret_a his_o power_n a_o transcendent_a his_o justice_n a_o abyssus_fw-la only_a his_o mercy_n offer_v to_o communicate_v it_o self_n to_o we_o that_o if_o it_o be_v not_o for_o his_o mercy_n we_o neither_o can_v hope_v nor_o dare_v presume_v to_o have_v access_n unto_o he_o and_o therefore_o in_o all_o our_o suit_n we_o pray_v he_o not_o to_o hear_v we_o for_o his_o wisdom_n sake_n or_o for_o his_o power_n sake_n or_o for_o his_o justice_n sake_n but_o only_o &_o always_o for_o his_o mercy_n sake_n it_o be_v his_o mercy_n that_o embolden_v we_o when_o we_o be_v fearful_a that_o encourage_v we_o when_o we_o be_v doubtful_a it_o be_v his_o mercy_n that_o direct_v we_o when_o we_o be_v err_v that_o uphold_v we_o when_o we_o be_v fall_v and_o indeed_o his_o mercy_n not_o only_o be_v invocate_v by_o we_o but_o be_v itself_o a_o advocate_n for_o we_o that_o we_o may_v true_o say_v of_o all_o his_o attribute_n there_o be_v none_o have_v bowel_n in_o it_o but_o only_o his_o mercy_n here_o therefore_o my_o soul_n fixeâ—_n thy_o pillar_n of_o thought_n and_o let_v this_o mercy_n of_o god_n be_v thy_o perpetual_a object_n for_o as_o some_o superstitious_a in_o the_o sect_n of_o mahomet_n when_o they_o have_v once_o see_v his_o tomb_n at_o mecha_n pull_v out_o their_o eye_n present_o as_o never_o possible_a to_o see_v so_o worthy_a a_o sight_n again_o so_o thou_o my_o soul_n when_o thou_o have_v once_o enter_v upon_o this_o thought_n of_o god_n mercy_n thou_o may_v seal_v up_o the_o door_n of_o thy_o heart_n as_o never_o possible_a to_o let_v in_o so_o comfortable_a a_o thought_n again_o but_o if_o with_o all_o thy_o think_n thou_o can_v not_o sufficient_o apprehend_v it_o then_o at_o least_o admire_v it_o that_o by_o admire_v it_o thou_o may_v be_v draw_v to_o love_v it_o or_o rather_o to_o love_v he_o for_o it_o yet_o not_o to_o love_v he_o only_o for_o his_o mercy_n to_o thou_o but_o for_o his_o mercy_n and_o not_o only_o for_o his_o be_v merciful_a but_o for_o his_o be_v for_o then_o my_o soul_n thou_o love_v god_n true_o when_o thou_o love_v he_o for_o himself_o and_o not_o for_o his_o benefit_n for_o how_o else_o can_v thou_o say_v with_o job_n though_o thou_o kill_v i_o o_o lord_n yet_o will_v i_o love_v thou_o indeed_o to_o love_n god_n apart_o from_o his_o benefit_n be_v a_o work_n for_o the_o soul_n when_o it_o be_v part_v from_o the_o body_n for_o as_o long_o as_o we_o live_v in_o this_o world_n of_o vanity_n our_o love_n to_o god_n i_o may_v say_v be_v but_o mercenary_a even_o david_n as_o much_o a_o man_n as_o he_o be_v after_o god_n own_o heart_n yet_o say_v but_o this_o i_o love_v thou_o o_o lord_n because_o thou_o have_v hear_v my_o supplication_n so_o this_o benefit_n of_o god_n be_v the_o motive_n of_o his_o love_n to_o god_n that_o if_o it_o have_v not_o be_v for_o this_o motive_n his_o love_n to_o god_n may_v have_v be_v as_o little_a as_o another_o o_o you_o bless_a seraphin_n that_o burn_v with_o a_o ardour_n of_o this_o love_n of_o god_n how_o happy_a be_v you_o in_o this_o
