the_o ministry_n of_o life_n not_o in_o itself_o only_o but_o in_o respect_n of_o man_n power_n to_o believe_v it_o when_o it_o be_v preach_v or_o declare_v to_o they_o otherwise_o it_o will_v be_v all_o one_o to_o be_v under_o the_o law_n and_o under_o grace_n neither_o will_v the_o gospel_n bring_v salvation_n any_o more_o than_o the_o law_n tit._n 2.11_o but_o will_v avoidable_o cause_v affection_n to_o receive_v and_o embrace_v it_o upon_o trust_n and_o when_o they_o have_v so_o do_v to_o tell_v they_o that_o god_n have_v persuade_v their_o heart_n man_n say_v that_o faith_n be_v supernatural_a but_o how_o can_v it_o be_v above_o nature_n to_o believe_v that_o which_o we_o see_v sufficient_a ground_n to_o believe_v and_o to_o believe_v any_o thing_n of_o which_o we_o have_v be_v no_o resist_n of_o he_o and_o that_o he_o will_v punish_v such_o as_o do_v abuse_v his_o grace_n and_o turn_v it_o into_o wantonness_n and_o stubbornness_n do_v take_v occasion_n upon_o his_o foreknowledge_n of_o pharaoh_n wickedness_n and_o deceitfullnesse_n to_o manifest_v the_o same_o in_o he_o for_o in_o the_o 9_o chap._n 27_o 28._o verse_n we_o find_v pharaoh_n repentance_n for_o refuse_v to_o let_v the_o people_n go_v and_o he_o say_v unto_o they_o i_o have_v sin_v this_o time_n the_o lord_n be_v righteous_a and_o i_o and_o my_o people_n be_v wicked_a entreat_v the_o lord_n to_o enter_v into_o further_a covenant_n with_o the_o lord_n to_o which_o purpose_n he_o call_v upon_o they_o vers_n 12._o see_v that_o whilst_o they_o be_v in_o covenant_n with_o he_o the_o great_a understanding_n and_o judgement_n by_o some_o evident_a and_o rational_a demonstration_n or_o conclusion_n from_o the_o scripture_n or_o promise_v so_o believe_v and_o if_o not_o than_o the_o thing_n they_o speak_v of_o be_v but_o please_a fancy_n and_o golden_a dream_n again_o from_o this_o doctrine_n of_o limit_v the_o love_n of_o god_n to_o a_o few_o the_o love_n of_o the_o most_o religious_a man_n of_o our_o time_n be_v also_o limit_v to_o a_o few_o to_o love_v those_o that_o love_v they_o to_o do_v good_a to_o those_o that_o do_v good_a to_o they_o to_o salute_v their_o brethren_n only_o whereas_o christ_n tell_v they_o plain_o that_o there_o be_v nothing_o singular_a in_o it_o they_o do_v no_o more_o than_o other_o than_o sinner_n than_o publican_n whereas_o if_o god_n indeed_o be_v be_v almost_o lose_v and_o there_o be_v little_a else_o then_o the_o show_n or_o name_n of_o it_o remain_v unless_o religion_n be_v a_o rigid_a man_n a_o practice_n not_o suitable_a to_o the_o gospel_n of_o grace_n and_o love_n but_o to_o policy_n and_o sensuality_n not_o come_v from_o above_o but_o from_o beneath_o whether_o it_o tend_v and_o be_v therefore_o to_o be_v shun_v and_o abhor_v of_o all_o man_n blind_a and_o preposterous_a zeal_n in_o seek_v dominion_n over_o the_o faith_n of_o our_o brethren_n and_o fellow-servant_n and_o by_o humane_a and_o positive_a law_n inhumane_o
