perhaps_o say_v that_o this_o effusion_n of_o spirit_n may_v often_o be_v without_o pleasure_n that_o anger_n which_o cast_v they_o into_o the_o face_n that_o grief_n which_o draw_v they_o to_o the_o disease_a part_n and_o that_o the_o fever_n which_o drive_v they_o everywhere_o with_o impetuosity_n afterward_o disperse_v they_o and_o cause_v the_o same_o alteration_n which_o joy_n imprint_n on_o the_o body_n and_o yet_o that_o the_o soul_n be_v then_o sensible_a of_o no_o pleasure_n but_o we_o may_v two_o way_n answer_v this_o first_o it_o be_v true_a that_o the_o most_o delightful_a object_n be_v often_o divert_v by_o little_a grief_n from_o make_v a_o impression_n in_o the_o soul_n this_o motion_n of_o the_o spirit_n which_o be_v so_o secret_a and_o which_o the_o sense_n can_v scarce_o discover_v aught_o to_o be_v far_o less_o powerful_a against_o great_a obstacle_n which_o cause_n these_o troublesome_a encounter_n but_o suppose_v they_o do_v cause_n pleasure_n it_o be_v so_o weak_a and_o so_o light_a that_o it_o be_v stifle_v by_o the_o least_o sensible_a inconvenience_n for_o it_o be_v a_o observable_a thing_n that_o although_o it_o seem_v that_o the_o sensitive_a appetite_n the_o heart_n be_v full_a of_o bitterness_n and_o grief_n and_o the_o reason_n of_o this_o be_v that_o the_o sensitive_a appetite_n be_v not_o shut_v up_o in_o one_o part_n only_o as_o the_o most_o organ_n be_v the_o heart_n and_o yet_o which_o form_n itself_o in_o all_o the_o artery_n where_o even_o it_o be_v sometime_o find_v different_a from_o that_o which_o agitate_v the_o heart_n which_o be_v so_o pleasure_n may_v be_v in_o one_o place_n and_o grief_n in_o another_o although_o they_o be_v in_o one_o part_n incompatible_a but_o it_o be_v also_o true_a that_o when_o passion_n be_v understanding_n nay_o even_o of_o the_o imagination_n this_o be_v the_o first_o answer_v which_o may_v be_v make_v to_o the_o propose_a objection_n now_o for_o another_o which_o please_v we_o more_o as_o be_v better_o fit_v to_o our_o design_n for_o we_o will_v show_v how_o every_o passion_n have_v a_o particular_a motion_n of_o the_o spirit_n and_o that_o then_o if_o the_o effusion_n be_v in_o other_o as_o well_o as_o joy_n there_o must_v be_v some_o difference_n which_o render_v it_o fit_a and_o particular_a and_o which_o be_v not_o to_o be_v find_v in_o the_o rest_n we_o must_v then_o confess_v that_o anger_n grief_n and_o terror_n and_o divers_a other_o exterior_a thing_n may_v disperse_v the_o spirit_n but_o by_o violence_n and_o as_o a_o tempest_n which_o scatter_v the_o rain_n and_o transport_v it_o here_o and_o there_o with_o impetuosity_n in_o stead_n whereof_o joy_n sweet_o disperse_v they_o and_o make_v they_o distil_v on_o the_o part_n as_o a_o sweet_a dew_n now_o
