be_v deduce_v hence_o which_o may_v imply_v my_o not_o be_v of_o opinion_n that_o the_o air_n respire_v which_o be_v all_o full_a of_o these_o spirituous_a part_n exhale_v by_o all_o body_n do_v not_o furnish_v the_o vital_a spirit_n with_o some_o portion_n of_o themselves_o which_o
the_o effort_n of_o that_o part_n we_o shall_v not_o make_v it_o our_o business_n to_o oppose_v this_o circulation_n and_o though_o it_o be_v accompany_v with_o great_a difficulty_n yet_o may_v it_o be_v move_v by_o a_o agitation_n different_a from_o that_o of_o the_o latter_a art_n 8._o the_o heat_n of_o the_o heart_n force_v not_o the_o blood_n into_o all_o the_o part_n it_o be_v suppose_v then_o as_o the_o patron_n of_o this_o opinion_n will_v have_v it_o that_o the_o heart_n by_o a_o certain_a compression_n or_o contraction_n of_o itself_o drive_v out_o into_o the_o artery_n the_o blood_n which_o it_o have_v receive_v into_o its_o ventricle_n and_o that_o by_o the_o violence_n of_o that_o motion_n it_o force_v it_o even_o to_o their_o extremity_n so_o to_o make_v its_o passage_n into_o the_o small_a vein_n which_o be_v near_o they_o and_o thence_o into_o the_o hollow_a vein_n and_o at_o last_o to_o the_o heart_n whence_o it_o afterward_o pass_v back_o again_o into_o the_o artery_n and_o then_o into_o the_o vein_n perpetual_o run_v out_o of_o one_o into_o another_o by_o a_o continual_a circulation_n this_o i_o say_v be_v suppose_v it_o may_v be_v say_v that_o there_o be_v some_o probability_n that_o this_o impulsion_n which_o it_o receive_v from_o the_o heart_n may_v cause_v it_o to_o flow_v along_o into_o the_o artery_n but_o it_o can_v never_o be_v conceive_v how_o this_o impulsion_n shall_v be_v continue_v even_o into_o the_o vein_n after_o that_o its_o force_n have_v be_v check_v and_o break_v by_o so_o many_o wind_n and_o so_o many_o obstruction_n which_o the_o blood_n must_v needs_o meet_v with_o in_o its_o way_n what!_o it_o shall_v open_v the_o moâ—ths_n of_o the_o vessel_n it_o shall_v force_v its_o passage_n through_o the_o fleshy_a part_n as_o they_o pretend_v it_o shall_v surmount_v the_o impression_n which_o the_o air_n and_o other_o external_a cause_n every_o moment_n make_v in_o the_o part_n and_o after_o all_o this_o by_o virtue_n of_o that_o first_o impulsion_n it_o shall_v reascend_v to_o the_o heart_n with_o the_o same_o agility_n that_o it_o descend_v thence_o but_o this_o be_v a_o thing_n can_v enter_v into_o a_o man_n imagination_n i_o be_o content_a that_o as_o it_o pass_v through_o the_o small_a vessel_n the_o compression_n it_o suffer_v therein_o may_v continue_v the_o impetuosity_n of_o its_o motion_n but_o that_o it_o shall_v be_v so_o when_o it_o flow_v into_o the_o great_a vein_n and_o the_o spaciousness_n of_o their_o channel_n give_v it_o more_o liberty_n be_v a_o thing_n which_o can_v be_v affirm_v without_o a_o defiance_n of_o experience_n and_o reason_n and_o there_o be_v a_o necessity_n it_o shall_v have_v the_o same_o fate_n as_o river_n and_o torrent_n which_o flow_v out_o of_o a_o narrow_a into_o a_o broad_a channel_n abate_v much_o of_o the_o impetuosity_n of_o their_o course_n and_o certain_o if_o the_o beat_n of_o the_o heart_n and_o artery_n cause_v the_o blood_n to_o be_v thus_o move_v nature_n have_v forget_v herself_o extreme_o that_o she_o give_v not_o the_o same_o agitation_n to_o the_o vein_n especial_o those_o in_o the_o low_a part_n where_o the_o blood_n be_v more_o gross_a and_o heavy_a and_o have_v so_o great_a a_o way_n to_o get_v up_o to_o the_o heart_n for_o there_o it_o be_v that_o the_o cause_n and_o instrument_n of_o this_o miraculous_a transportation_n ought_v to_o be_v the_o more_o powerful_a have_v a_o great_a and_o heavy_a weight_n to_o conduct_v nay_o indeed_o to_o force_v upward_o then_o be_v the_o arterial_a beat_n and_o impulsion_n of_o the_o heart_n and_o artery_n contribute_v nothing_o thereto_o to_o conclude_v since_o nature_n multiply_v not_o the_o way_n of_o act_v in_o those_o operation_n which_o be_v of_o the_o same_o kind_n it_o be_v necessary_a that_o she_o cause_v the_o blood_n to_o ascend_v by_o the_o same_o virtue_n whereby_o she_o cause_v the_o chylus_n to_o do_v so_o make_v it_o to_o pass_v out_o of_o the_o intestine_n into_o the_o vessel_n and_o afterward_o conduct_v it_o to_o those_o place_n where_o it_o be_v necessary_a now_o i_o do_v not_o think_v there_o be_v any_o body_n
