be_v not_o the_o natural_a part_n of_o a_o man_n which_o be_v in_o the_o midst_n of_o the_o body_n that_o be_v a_o fleshly_a heart_n but_o it_o be_v the_o will_n itself_o and_o that_o ability_n of_o â—oule_n whereby_o the_o heart_n say_v i_o will_v have_v this_o and_o i_o will_v not_o have_v that_o as_o the_o understanding_n be_v settle_v in_o the_o head_n and_o keep_v his_o sentinel_n there_o from_o this_o point_n be_v that_o sin_n unpardoned_a be_v of_o a_o pierce_a nature_n they_o be_v not_o only_o prick_v because_o they_o hear_v the_o word_n but_o their_o sin_n pierce_v they_o but_o i_o will_v not_o meddle_v with_o this_o point_n though_o otherwise_o be_v be_v very_o useful_a the_o use_n be_v this_o may_v take_v off_o the_o imagination_n of_o those_o that_o think_v there_o 〈◊〉_d no_o suspicion_n so_o there_o be_v many_o a_o curse_a hypocrite_n that_o live_v in_o a_o fair_a course_n and_o yet_o will_v cheat_v and_o lie_v and_o deal_v marvellous_a unjust_o and_o then_o he_o will_v again_o it_o be_v but_o fast_v and_o pray_v etc._n etc._n o_o brethren_n it_o be_v a_o desperate_a hypocrisy_n that_o sorrow_n which_o god_n have_v appoint_v as_o a_o mean_n to_o purge_v out_o sin_n shall_v be_v a_o mean_n to_o cover_v his_o sin_n will_v a_o few_o wamble_a tear_n do_v the_o deed_n and_o break_v the_o heart_n be_v this_o acceptable_a sorrow_n you_o yourselves_o be_v ashamed_a of_o this_o work_n and_o do_v you_o think_v god_n will_v accept_v of_o it_o no_o no_o it_o be_v not_o the_o rend_n of_o the_o garment_n nor_o the_o weep_n of_o the_o eye_n that_o will_v do_v the_o deed_n but_o you_o must_v break_v your_o heart_n if_o you_o only_o cut_v off_o the_o leg_n or_o wing_n of_o a_o foul_a it_o will_v live_v for_o all_o that_o so_o you_o cut_v off_o the_o arm_n or_o hand_n of_o sin_n but_o so_o long_o as_o the_o heart_n be_v not_o wound_v and_o drive_v to_o any_o amazement_n for_o sin_n it_o will_v live_v with_o you_o here_o and_o in_o hell_n too_o oh_o do_v not_o cozen_v your_o own_o soul_n it_o be_v not_o the_o tear_n of_o the_o eye_n but_o the_o blood_n of_o the_o heart_n that_o your_o sin_n must_v cost_v and_o if_o you_o come_v not_o to_o this_o never_o think_v that_o your_o sorrow_n be_v good_a and_o therefore_o you_o that_o find_v yourselves_o guilty_a lay_v your_o hand_n upon_o your_o heart_n &_o say_v good_a lord_n this_o be_v my_o portion_n the_o lord_n know_v i_o have_v confess_v my_o sin_n and_o yet_o have_v take_v liberty_n to_o sin_n but_o my_o heart_n be_v never_o burden_a with_o this_o evil_a and_o vileness_n of_o sin_n and_o therefore_o to_o this_o day_n i_o never_o have_v this_o true_a sorrow_n there_o be_v a_o three_o sort_n of_o sorrower_n which_o be_v the_o worst_a of_o all_o they_o be_v such_o as_o heretofore_o minister_n under_o heaven_n say_v against_o they_o nay_o they_o can_v fleare_fw-la in_o our_o face_n and_o be_v drink_v and_o vile_a &_o be_v never_o trouble_v for_o it_o they_o have_v get_v the_o skill_n of_o it_o this_o be_v the_o most_o fearful_a condition_n that_o almost_o a_o poor_a creature_n can_v fall_v into_o thou_o accounte_v it_o thy_o glory_n and_o credit_n that_o thou_o can_v bear_v all_o and_o be_v metal_n of_o proof_n and_o no_o bullet_n can_v pierce_v thou_o thou_o be_v trouble_v before_o but_o now_o thou_o have_v shake_v it_o off_o this_o i_o say_v be_v thy_o shame_n be_v touch_v and_o convert_v now_o if_o all_o be_v true_a that_o i_o have_v say_v there_o be_v but_o few_o sorrower_n for_o sin_n therefore_o few_o save_v here_o we_o see_v the_o ground_n &_o reason_n why_o many_o fly_v off_o from_o godliness_n and_o christianity_n this_o be_v the_o cause_n their_o soul_n be_v only_o trouble_v with_o a_o little_a hellish_a sorrow_n but_o their_o heart_n be_v never_o kind_o grieve_v for_o their_o sin_n if_o a_o man_n arm_n be_v break_v and_o disjoint_v a_o little_a it_o may_v grow_v together_o again_o but_o if_o it_o be_v quite_o break_v off_o it_o can_v grow_v together_o so_o the_o terror_n of_o the_o law_n affright_v his_o conscience_n and_o a_o powerful_a minister_n unjoint_v his_o soul_n and_o the_o judgement_n of_o god_n be_v rend_v of_o he_o but_o he_o be_v never_o cut_v off_o altogether_o and_o therefore_o he_o return_v as_o vile_a and_o as_o base_a if_o not_o worse_o than_o before_o and_o he_o grow_v more_o firm_o to_o his_o corruption_n it_o be_v with_o a_o man_n conversion_n as_o in_o some_o man_n ditch_v they_o do_v not_o pull_v up_o all_o the_o tree_n by_o the_o root_n but_o plash_n they_o so_o when_o you_o come_v to_o have_v your_o corruption_n cut_v off_o you_o plash_n they_o and_o do_v not_o wound_v your_o heart_n kind_o and_o you_o do_v not_o make_v your_o soul_n feel_v the_o burden_n of_o sin_n true_o this_o will_v make_v a_o man_n grow_v and_o flourish_v still_o howsoever_o more_o cunning_o and_o subtle_o this_o lop_n professor_n grow_v more_o subtle_a in_o his_o wickedness_n the_o soul_n that_o have_v be_v terrify_v for_o his_o lust_n he_o be_v now_o grow_v a_o plash_v adulterer_n and_o alehouse_n haunter_n he_o will_v be_v drink_v more_o cunning_o and_o secret_o and_o so_o he_o that_o have_v be_v a_o open_a opposer_n of_o god_n child_n will_v now_o jibe_v and_o jest_n at_o they_o in_o a_o corner_n and_o when_o he_o come_v among_o his_o old_a companion_n than_o he_o can_v vent_v out_o all_o his_o malice_n this_o be_v the_o reason_n why_o all_o wicked_a man_n that_o be_v in_o some_o good_a way_n of_o preparation_n of_o soul_n they_o turn_v their_o back_n upon_o christ_n even_o because_o they_o be_v never_o cut_v off_o kind_o from_o their_o sin_n but_o only_o unjointed_a and_o that_o be_v the_o reason_n why_o they_o fall_v to_o their_o old_a corruption_n again_o this_o be_v the_o main_a cause_n of_o all_o the_o hypocrisy_n under_o heaven_n there_o be_v never_o any_o soul_n that_o make_v profession_n and_o fall_v again_o but_o the_o ground_n of_o it_o be_v here_o 3_o the_o three_o use_n be_v for_o exhortation_n if_o every_o sorrow_n will_v not_o do_v it_o and_o if_o slight_a sorrow_n will_v not_o do_v it_o what_o then_o remain_v to_o be_v do_v then_o if_o ever_o thou_o will_v be_v comfort_v and_o receive_v mercy_n from_o the_o great_a god_n labour_v to_o take_v the_o right_a way_n and_o never_o be_v quiet_v till_o you_o do_v bring_v your_o heart_n to_o a_o
