be_v a_o fruit_n of_o christ_n love_n to_o cleanse_v we_o from_o our_o spot_n and_o then_o he_o give_v himself_o that_o he_o may_v cleanse_v we_o perhaps_o you_o think_v it_o be_v of_o little_a be_v able_a to_o carry_v a_o man_n to_o this_o height_n that_o be_v not_o only_o to_o abstain_v from_o sin_n because_o of_o other_o but_o from_o the_o act_n of_o sin_n in_o secret_a that_o he_o dare_v now_o the_o opposition_n of_o a_o gracious_a heart_n it_o be_v in_o the_o whole_a soul_n not_o only_o my_o conscience_n be_v against_o my_o sin_n but_o my_o will_n and_o my_o asfection_n i_o have_v a_o principle_n in_o my_o will_n and_o affection_n as_o well_o as_o in_o my_o conscience_n all_o the_o faculty_n of_o the_o soul_n do_v oppose_v the_o sin_n and_o then_o second_o it_o be_v universal_a for_o the_o truth_n be_v temptation_n can_v never_o prevail_v against_o we_o be_v it_o not_o for_o the_o wickedness_n of_o our_o heart_n temptation_n come_v to_o christ_n but_o the_o devil_n find_v nothing_o in_o he_o as_o the_o scripture_n speak_v therefore_o can_v they_o not_o prevail_v over_o he_o and_o â—vere_v it_o not_o for_o the_o baseness_n of_o thy_o heart_n temptation_n will_v not_o i_o can_v do_v any_o thing_n of_o myself_o and_o therefore_o because_o god_n give_v i_o no_o grace_n that_o be_v the_o reason_n i_o fall_v into_o such_o sin_n this_o be_v the_o boldness_n of_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n and_o woman_n to_o think_v to_o put_v off_o all_o their_o sin_n upon_o god_n himself_o as_o if_o there_o be_v no_o other_o reason_n why_o they_o commit_v sin_n but_o because_o god_n be_v the_o cause_n of_o it_o as_o for_o their_o part_n they_o will_v do_v better_o but_o only_o god_n deny_v they_o his_o grace_n and_o so_o they_o think_v to_o put_v off_o all_o from_o themselves_o even_o to_o god_n but_o know_v the_o lord_n will_v find_v thou_o out_o one_o day_n and_o he_o will_v charge_v thy_o sin_n upon_o thyself_o and_o thy_o destruction_n and_o thy_o wickedness_n it_o be_v from_o thyself_o a_o gracious_a heart_n will_v not_o plead_v for_o sin_n after_o such_o away_o as_o this_o be_v it_o be_v very_o dangerous_a when_o you_o hear_v of_o any_o that_o make_v profession_n of_o religion_n to_o plead_v for_o their_o looseness_n after_o such_o a_o manner_n as_o this_o be_v we_o have_v cause_n to_o fear_v that_o their_o spot_n be_v not_o the_o spot_n of_o god_n child_n four_o when_o sin_n have_v preveil_v in_o some_o measure_n against_o a_o child_n of_o god_n yet_o he_o be_v quick_o stop_v in_o sin_n he_o be_v easy_o convince_v of_o it_o plead_v not_o for_o it_o and_o be_v ready_a to_o be_v stop_v a_o little_a thing_n will_v stop_v the_o course_n of_o his_o sin_n oâ—_n any_o truth_n of_o god_n that_o come_v to_o he_o his_o heart_n have_v a_o principle_n within_o it_o suitable_a to_o the_o truth_n of_o god_n his_o heart_n close_v with_o those_o truth_n and_o so_o come_v to_o be_v stop_v in_o his_o course_n a_o wicked_a man_n sin_n and_o have_v no_o principle_n of_o grace_n suitable_a to_o any_o truth_n of_o god_n when_o any_o thing_n oppose_v his_o sin_n his_o heart_n oppose_v that_o that_o will_v oppose_v sin_n but_o a_o child_n of_o god_n though_o he_o be_v overcome_v with_o a_o sin_n yet_o when_o the_o truth_n of_o god_n come_v it_o meet_v with_o something_o within_o the_o heart_n that_o be_v suitable_a to_o the_o truth_n and_o it_o present_o close_v together_o you_o have_v a_o notable_a example_n for_o that_o in_o the_o prophet_n david_n 1_o sam._n 25._o 32._o for_o the_o understanding_n of_o it_o you_o may_v cast_v your_o eye_n upon_o some_o verse_n before_o you_o shall_v find_v that_o david_n be_v in_o a_o way_n of_o sin_n that_o his_o choler_n have_v get_v up_o and_o prevail_v against_o he_o and_o he_o be_v â—â—out_v a_o very_a wicked_a act_n to_o avenge_v himself_o use_v be_v guilty_a of_o blood_n but_o abigal_n meet_v â—ith_n david_n in_o his_o way_n when_o he_o be_v in_o the_o â—â—ay_n of_o sin_n and_o show_v he_o difference_n between_o a_o tyrant_n that_o co_z meth_z violent_o to_o force_v man_n to_o submit_v to_o he_o or_o one_o that_o come_v with_o a_o sudden_a surprise_n or_o with_o any_o cunning_a way_n first_o a_o powerful_a opposition_n that_o be_v he_o do_v not_o only_o wish_v that_o he_o can_v not_o sin_n and_o wish_v that_o he_o may_v be_v otherwise_o but_o he_o make_v it_o to_o be_v the_o great_a work_n of_o his_o life_n above_o all_o thing_n in_o the_o world_n to_o set_v himself_o against_o his_o sin_n so_o as_o if_o god_n will_v speak_v from_o heaven_n and_o say_v unto_o he_o poor_a creature_n what_o will_v thou_o that_o i_o shall_v do_v for_o thou_o this_o soul_n will_v answer_v to_o god_n lord_n thou_o that_o know_v all_o thing_n know_v this_o be_v the_o unfeigned_a desire_n of_o my_o soul_n above_o all_o thing_n o_o giveme_v but_o power_n against_o my_o sin_n and_o especial_o against_o those_o special_a sin_n that_o my_o nature_n be_v most_o inclinable_a to_o o_o this_o be_v that_o that_o my_o heart_n be_v most_o against_o many_o people_n extreme_o deceive_v themselves_o in_o this_o in_o think_v that_o they_o oppose_v their_o sin_n because_o they_o have_v some_o wish_n and_o desire_n they_o will_v be_v glad_a that_o thing_n be_v better_a with_o they_o than_o they_o be_v i_o but_o do_v thou_o look_v upon_o it_o as_o a_o matter_n of_o life_n and_o death_n and_o thereupon_o thy_o soul_n do_v more_o strong_o work_v in_o its_o opposition_n against_o thy_o sin_n then_o against_o any_o thing_n in_o the_o world_n beside_o many_o man_n and_o woman_n have_v strong_a spirit_n in_o follow_v their_o sin_n but_o their_o spirit_n be_v not_o strong_a in_o the_o oppose_a of_o their_o sin_n but_o he_o that_o be_v gracious_a make_v it_o to_o be_v his_o great_a and_o chief_a work_n and_o then_o the_o second_o thing_n it_o be_v a_o universal_a opposition_n and_o that_o in_o these_o two_o regard_n first_o all_z the_o faculty_n in_o the_o soul_n do_v rise_v up_o against_o sin_n there_o be_v some_o kind_n of_o opposition_n in_o a_o wicked_a man_n against_o sin_n that_o be_v his_o conscience_n sometime_o do_v oppose_v the_o lust_n that_o there_o be_v in_o his_o affection_n it_o may_v be_v a_o wicked_a man_n have_v a_o convince_v conscience_n and_o his_o conscience_n will_v not_o let_v he_o to_o be_v at_o quiet_a but_o in_o his_o affection_n there_o be_v a_o like_n of_o sin_n only_o his_o conscience_n will_v not_o let_v he_o be_v at_o quiet_a you_o will_v say_v how_o shall_v a_o man_n discern_v this_o you_o may_v discern_v it_o thus_o if_o the_o opposition_n be_v mere_o in_o your_o conscience_n and_o not_o in_o your_o heart_n and_o affection_n then_o though_o indeed_o you_o dare_v not_o for_o the_o present_a commit_v such_o a_o sin_n yet_o you_o can_v wish_v with_o all_o your_o heart_n that_o you_o may_v have_v liberty_n to_o do_v it_o you_o can_v wish_v that_o there_o be_v not_o such_o a_o law_n to_o forbid_v it_o you_o can_v be_v glad_a that_o that_o law_n be_v more_o loose_a and_o you_o will_v fain_o have_v such_o a_o thing_n not_o to_o be_v a_o sin_n and_o if_o you_o can_v commit_v it_o quiet_o without_o any_o danger_n you_o will_v do_v it_o now_o the_o opposition_n be_v not_o in_o your_o will_n it_o be_v only_o in_o your_o conscience_n this_o be_v a_o opposition_n to_o sin_n that_o a_o carnal_a heart_n may_v have_v that_o be_v he_o may_v have_v his_o conscience_n so_o fly_v in_o his_o face_n as_o that_o he_o shall_v not_o dare_v for_o the_o present_a to_o commit_v his_o sin_n no_o not_o in_o secret_a a_o man_n may_v come_v so_o far_o you_o will_v say_v indeed_o
