but_o rather_o excuse_v the_o people_n from_o join_v in_o it_o answ_n because_o there_o be_v no_o necessity_n at_o all_o of_o a_o devise_v set_v form_n of_o prayer_n unless_o it_o be_v through_o the_o congregation_n until_o a_o material_a difference_n be_v show_v in_o these_o particular_n and_o that_o distinction_n of_o arbitrary_a and_o necessary_a devise_v form_n be_v approve_v by_o solid_a reason_n and_o holy_a scripture_n the_o world_n shall_v end_v i_o be_o confident_a before_o they_o shall_v separate_v for_o you_o see_v a_o material_a difference_n in_o these_o particular_n between_o the_o breach_n of_o the_o second_o commandment_n in_o the_o second_o rule_n you_o say_v the_o controversy_n be_v not_o of_o this_o or_o that_o prescript_n form_n of_o prayer_n in_o particular_a much_o less_o of_o one_o for_o substance_n of_o matter_n faulty_a and_o erroneous_a but_o of_o a_o prescript_n form_n of_o prayer_n in_o general_a whether_o it_o be_v lawful_a to_o use_v any_o set_a form_n of_o prayer_n at_o all_o though_o for_o the_o matter_n thereof_o never_o so_o sound_a and_o allowable_a answ_n but_o so_o to_o put_v the_o state_n of_o the_o question_n be_v indeed_o to_o lead_v yourself_o and_o other_o into_o temptation_n for_o if_o it_o may_v be_v once_o obtain_v that_o some_o prescript_n form_n be_v lawful_a in_o the_o general_n this_o in_o the_o theory_n will_v straight_o be_v reduce_v to_o this_o practice_n to_o persuade_v man_n to_o join_v in_o such_o a_o prescript_n form_n of_o prayer_n as_o be_v just_o liable_a to_o manifold_a exception_n both_o for_o matter_n and_o manner_n if_o such_o as_o be_v compel_v to_o worship_v the_o lord_n before_o the_o golden_a calf_n at_o dan_n and_o bethel_n shall_v put_v the_o state_n of_o the_o question_n not_o of_o such_o sincerity_n of_o their_o heart_n help_v they_o with_o some_o spiritual_a affection_n even_o in_o such_o prayer_n howbeit_o a_o form_n of_o prayer_n not_o allow_v of_o god_n will_v not_o of_o itself_o affect_v the_o heart_n with_o heavenly_a warmth_n neither_o do_v we_o say_v that_o the_o coldness_n of_o the_o minister_n heart_n in_o prayer_n if_o it_o spring_v from_o the_o inward_a corruption_n of_o his_o own_o spirit_n do_v wrap_v the_o people_n into_o the_o fellowship_n of_o the_o same_o sin_n de_fw-fr secretis_fw-la non_fw-la judicat_fw-la ecclesia_fw-la nor_o be_v it_o defile_v by_o the_o toleration_n of_o secret_a sin_n in_o other_o but_o if_o the_o people_n be_v convince_v that_o the_o read_n of_o prayer_n upon_o a_o book_n prescribe_v to_o they_o by_o man_n be_v a_o sin_n
