himself_o to_o be_v whilst_o he_o be_v a_o pharisee_n before_o the_o lord_n wrought_v upon_o he_o by_o the_o law_n second_o what_o a_o miserable_a wretched_a creature_n he_o see_v himself_o to_o be_v when_o the_o lord_n take_v he_o in_o hand_n and_o discover_v his_o sin_n unto_o he_o before_o the_o law_n come_v home_o unto_o he_o and_o convince_v his_o conscience_n he_o think_v himself_o to_o be_v alive_a but_o when_o the_o commandment_n come_v sin_n revive_v and_o he_o die_v 1._o in_o the_o former_a we_o may_v observe_v two_o thing_n first_o the_o jolliness_n of_o the_o apostle_n he_o think_v make_v long_a prayer_n each_o day_n when_o he_o consider_v how_o he_o walk_v thus_o in_o all_o the_o ordinance_n of_o god_n he_o think_v if_o this_o be_v not_o to_o be_v alive_a he_o know_v not_o what_o it_o be_v to_o be_v alive_a i_o be_v alive_a once_o without_o the_o law_n second_o we_o have_v here_o the_o cause_n why_o he_o have_v this_o good_a conceit_n of_o himself_o it_o be_v because_o he_o be_v without_o the_o law_n the_o law_n of_o god_n have_v not_o convince_v he_o it_o have_v not_o discover_v his_o miserable_a and_o wretched_a estate_n unto_o he_o though_o he_o have_v some_o understanding_n in_o the_o literal_a sense_n of_o the_o law_n yet_o the_o law_n be_v not_o yet_o come_v home_o unto_o he_o he_o be_v as_o yet_o without_o the_o law_n and_o that_o be_v the_o reason_n of_o that_o good_a conceit_n he_o have_v of_o himself_o he_o do_v esteem_v himself_o to_o be_v alive_a and_o then_o again_o in_o the_o latter_a part_n when_o the_o commandment_n come_v sin_n revive_v but_o i_o die_v there_o we_o may_v also_o observe_v two_o thing_n first_o
all_o thing_n that_o may_v hinder_v we_o and_o be_v fit_v with_o all_o thing_n that_o may_v help_v forward_o the_o duty_n that_o time_n place_n and_o all_o advantage_n may_v meet_v together_o for_o the_o better_a do_v of_o it_o then_o second_o we_o must_v watch_v in_o the_o duty_n as_o well_o as_o before_o the_o duty_n duty_n as_o the_o apostle_n speak_v concern_v prayer_n so_o i_o may_v say_v concern_v all_o other_o duty_n continue_v in_o prayer_n and_o watch_v therein_o with_o thanksgiving_n col._n 4.2_o as_o we_o be_v to_o watch_v before_o that_o we_o may_v have_v preparation_n so_o we_o must_v watch_v in_o the_o duty_n that_o we_o may_v right_o discharge_v it_o for_o though_o a_o man_n have_v be_v watchful_a before_o the_o duty_n and_o have_v be_v prepare_v in_o some_o measure_n and_o fit_v yet_o you_o be_v not_o without_o danger_n but_o when_o you_o be_v in_o prayer_n and_o when_o you_o be_v at_o the_o lord_n table_n or_o any_o other_o duty_n for_o all_o your_o former_a preparation_n if_o you_o be_v not_o watchful_a now_o you_o may_v fail_v in_o some_o kind_n or_o other_o and_o so_o mar_v the_o duty_n therefore_o we_o shall_v watch_v in_o the_o duty_n that_o our_o heart_n may_v be_v wake_v in_o it_o and_o our_o mind_n attentive_a upon_o it_o that_o our_o heart_n may_v be_v fix_v upon_o that_o we_o be_v about_o my_o heart_n be_v fix_v my_o heart_n be_v fix_v say_v the_o prophet_n david_n he_o be_v a_o joyful_a man_n he_o repeat_v it_o again_o and_o again_o as_o if_o a_o man_n shall_v be_v jocund_a and_o say_v i_o have_v get_v it_o i_o have_v get_v it_o we_o shall_v get_v heart_n fix_v upon_o the_o duty_n that_o so_o we_o may_v not_o have_v waver_v heart_n half_o off_o and_o half_a on_o the_o duty_n but_o that_o the_o whole_a man_n may_v be_v employ_v about_o it_o three_o we_o shall_v be_v watchful_a after_o the_o duty_n that_o we_o may_v not_o lose_v the_o benefit_n and_o reward_n of_o the_o duty_n lest_o the_o subtlety_n of_o satan_n and_o the_o wile_n of_o our_o own_o heart_n do_v rob_v we_o of_o the_o fruit_n of_o it_o though_o a_o man_n hear_v very_o attentive_o and_o pray_v and_o perform_v all_o other_o duty_n very_o enlarged_o yet_o when_o he_o have_v do_v all_o he_o may_v lose_v the_o comfort_n and_o reward_n of_o the_o duty_n therefore_o when_o we_o hear_v the_o word_n we_o shall_v watch_v over_o our_o heart_n that_o the_o foul_n of_o the_o air_n may_v not_o pluck_v it_o out_o again_o that_o if_o we_o have_v any_o quicken_a we_o may_v not_o lose_v it_o again_o if_o we_o have_v hear_v any_o thing_n that_o have_v help_v we_o forward_o in_o grace_n we_o shall_v take_v heed_n that_o we_o lose_v not_o the_o ground_n again_o as_o the_o publican_n as_o soon_o as_o he_o have_v pray_v to_o god_n and_o good_n or_o wife_n or_o child_n or_o body_n or_o friend_n or_o any_o thing_n he_o be_v at_o a_o loss_n and_o know_v not_o what_o to_o do_v he_o be_v fain_o to_o sink_v under_o the_o hand_n of_o god_n and_o have_v no_o refuge_n to_o fly_v unto_o therefore_o we_o shall_v watch_v against_o the_o day_n of_o god_n anger_n three_o grace_n we_o shall_v watch_v over_o the_o time_n of_o grace_n for_o there_o be_v gracious_a and_o acceptable_a time_n as_o the_o apostle_n call_v they_o 2_o cor._n 6.21_o many_o time_n good_a motion_n come_v in_o now_o if_o we_o do_v not_o watch_v to_o keep_v they_o will_v but_o have_v take_v hold_v of_o the_o mercy_n he_o may_v have_v have_v it_o but_o afterward_o he_o may_v go_v mourning_n and_o thirst_v and_o longing_n and_o never_o have_v the_o mercy_n offer_v more_o and_o it_o be_v well_o if_o he_o can_v be_v humble_v for_o miss_v of_o that_o mercy_n by_o his_o neglect_n and_o watch_v for_o the_o future_a the_o time_n of_o grace_n again_o we_o shall_v watch_v the_o time_n of_o death_n death_n we_o be_v all_o mortal_a man_n must_v die_v and_o bless_a be_v that_o servant_n who_o his_o lord_n when_o he_o come_v shall_v find_v he_o so_o do_v he_o will_v have_v a_o little_a emblem_n and_o picture_n of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n among_o his_o saint_n and_o child_n in_o this_o life_n in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n there_o be_v no_o buy_v and_o sell_v no_o eat_a and_o drink_v no_o worldly_a business_n there_o be_v nothing_o but_o praise_v and_o glorify_v of_o god_n and_o speak_v of_o god_n and_o sing_v of_o halelujah_o unto_o his_o holy_a name_n there_o be_v nothing_o but_o enjoy_v communion_n with_o the_o lord_n and_o feed_v upon_o he_o continual_o there_o be_v nothing_o but_o this_o in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n now_o god_n will_v have_v a_o little_a picture_n of_o this_o among_o his_o saint_n here_o upon_o earth_n you_o know_v there_o remain_v a_o rest_n for_o the_o people_n of_o god_n heb._n 4.9_o it_o be_v and_o stand_v in_o need_n of_o the_o creature_n for_o man_n sin_n be_v not_o yet_o purge_v away_o but_o there_o be_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o rubbish_n still_o leave_v therefore_o this_o can_v be_v complete_a here_o but_o yet_o god_n will_v have_v a_o little_a picture_n or_o this_o even_o in_o this_o life_n and_o that_o be_v the_o sabbath_n day_n wherein_o they_o be_v to_o lay_v aside_o all_o the_o work_n of_o their_o ordinary_a calling_n and_o rest_n from_o all_o servile_a labour_n this_o be_v god_n day_n and_o we_o must_v now_o call_v upon_o he_o and_o hear_v what_o he_o say_v and_o whole_o employ_v and_o occupy_v ourselves_o about_o he_o as_o near_o as_o we_o possible_o can_v but_o now_o this_o we_o can_v do_v every_o day_n for_o we_o have_v child_n to_o look_v after_o and_o
