no_o way_n contradict_v any_o moral_a precept_n of_o the_o law_n but_o leave_v his_o follower_n under_o perpetual_a obligation_n to_o obey_v all_o precept_n of_o that_o kind_n all_o thing_n say_v he_o than_o the_o law_n or_o the_o prophet_n have_v deliver_v yet_o he_o do_v not_o destroy_v they_o by_o so_o do_v but_o further_o improve_v what_o they_o design_v but_o the_o great_a difficulty_n do_v not_o lie_v in_o reconcil_a our_o saviour_n word_n i_o come_v not_o to_o destroy_v the_o law_n or_o the_o prophet_n with_o what_o he_o do_v as_o to_o the_o moral_a part_n of_o the_o law_n but_o with_o what_o befall_v its_o other_o branch_n namely_o the_o ceremonial_a and_o judicial_a both_o which_o part_n fall_v to_o the_o ground_n after_o his_o come_n into_o the_o world_n and_o what_o he_o do_v and_o suffer_v in_o it_o and_o yet_o in_o truth_n he_o do_v not_o destroy_v either_o of_o they_o in_o the_o sense_n wherein_o destruction_n be_v take_v in_o these_o word_n that_o be_v to_o say_v he_o do_v not_o oppose_v or_o contradict_v they_o or_o otherwise_o behave_v himself_o towards_o they_o than_o be_v suitable_a to_o the_o mind_n and_o will_n of_o the_o lawgiver_n 2._o he_o do_v not_o violate_v much_o less_o oppose_v any_o precept_n of_o the_o ceremonial_a law_n but_o cause_v the_o law_n itself_o to_o cease_v not_o by_o any_o opposition_n to_o it_o but_o by_o remove_a all_o occasion_n of_o any_o further_a use_n of_o it_o as_o the_o law_n of_o war_n be_v not_o violate_v but_o cease_v and_o take_v no_o place_n in_o peace_n he_o introduce_v that_o very_a thing_n which_o the_o ceremonial_a law_n design_v the_o introduce_v the_o life_n and_o substance_n of_o those_o thing_n which_o be_v foreshadowed_a in_o that_o law_n and_o so_o he_o make_v it_o cease_v and_o vanish_v not_o by_o oppose_v or_o contradict_v but_o by_o accomplish_v the_o end_n of_o it_o as_o it_o will_v further_o appear_v to_o you_o when_o i_o shall_v show_v how_o he_o fufil_v it_o 3._o nor_o last_o do_v our_o lord_n destroy_v that_o be_v violate_v or_o contradict_v the_o judicial_a part_n of_o moses_n his_o law_n namely_o the_o law_n of_o the_o jewish_a state_n for_o that_o law_n fall_v of_o itself_o in_o the_o jewish_a commonwealth_n when_o the_o city_n of_o jerusalem_n be_v destroy_v when_o the_o generality_n of_o the_o people_n be_v carry_v away_o into_o captivity_n when_o the_o whole_a government_n be_v dissolve_v and_o the_o country_n become_v a_o roman_a province_n there_o be_v a_o end_n of_o that_o commonwealth_n and_o so_o a_o end_n of_o those_o law_n whereby_o that_o commonwealth_n be_v govern_v for_o the_o law_n of_o the_o jewish_a commonwealth_n be_v not_o give_v save_v only_o to_o the_o people_n of_o the_o jew_n nor_o be_v they_o design_v to_o continue_v long_o than_o the_o commonwealth_n itself_o continue_v so_o that_o when_o this_o be_v once_o dissolve_v those_o also_o fell_a of_o their_o own_o accord_n without_o any_o violation_n offer_v unto_o they_o by_o our_o saviour_n from_o all_o which_o several_a consideration_n it_o plain_o appear_v that_o he_o do_v not_o come_v to_o destroy_v or_o oppose_v the_o law_n or_o the_o prophet_n or_o any_o precept_n contain_v in_o they_o and_o that_o he_o do_v not_o behave_v himself_o to_o either_o of_o they_o as_o one_o that_o come_v to_o oppose_v or_o thwart_v they_o so_o careful_a be_v he_o to_o or_o the_o prophet_n let_v we_o now_o proceed_v to_o give_v a_o account_n of_o the_o other_o part_n wherein_o he_o affirm_v that_o he_o come_v to_o fulfil_v they_o that_o be_v as_o i_o have_v before_o explain_v it_o to_o improve_v and_o accomplish_v what_o they_o contain_v and_o what_o be_v main_o design_v in_o they_o and_o here_o proceed_v in_o that_o method_n which_o i_o have_v use_v in_o the_o fulfil_v the_o moral_a law_n as_o well_o as_o by_o personal_a obedience_n to_o it_o they_o teach_v that_o he_o fill_v up_o those_o vacuity_n that_o moses_n have_v leave_v in_o moral_a duty_n because_o the_o jew_n be_v not_o able_a to_o bear_v they_o
and_o where_o thief_n do_v not_o break_v through_o and_o steal_v he_o know_v that_o where_o we_o place_v our_o happiness_n style_v our_o treasure_n in_o these_o word_n there_o shall_v we_o also_o place_v our_o heart_n for_o say_v he_o where_o your_o treasure_n be_v there_o will_v your_o heart_n be_v also_o upon_o which_o word_n i_o shall_v discourse_v in_o this_o method_n 1._o i_o shall_v show_v in_o what_o manner_n and_o in_o what_o degree_n man_n set_v their_o heart_n upon_o that_o which_o they_o judge_v their_o chief_a good_a whether_o it_o be_v the_o wealth_n and_o honour_n the_o the_o spring_n of_o all_o our_o other_o desire_n this_o move_v and_o quicken_v all_o within_o we_o this_o put_v life_n into_o all_o our_o power_n excite_v our_o thought_n form_n our_o counsel_n lay_v our_o design_n stir_v up_o and_o animate_v all_o endeavour_n this_o hold_v the_o eye_n of_o the_o mind_n open_a this_o keep_v the_o soul_n itself_o awake_v and_o put_v it_o into_o continual_a motion_n for_o whatsoever_o it_o be_v we_o do_v it_o be_v do_v in_o the_o view_n and_o consideration_n of_o what_o we_o believe_v to_o be_v good_a for_o we_o and_o some_o way_n tend_v to_o our_o happiness_n remove_v this_o out_o of_o the_o eye_n of_o a_o man_n and_o the_o clear_a reason_n that_o you_o can_v urge_v will_v never_o excite_v his_o will_n to_o choice_n much_o less_o engage_v he_o unto_o action_n he_o can_v act_v where_o he_o can_v hope_v nor_o can_v he_o hope_v where_o he_o see_v nothing_o to_o be_v desire_v say_v you_o whatsoever_o you_o can_v to_o move_v he_o he_o will_v always_o have_v this_o to_o say_v for_o himself_o the_o thing_n you_o propound_v no_o way_n tend_v to_o any_o advantage_n it_o do_v not_o serve_v any_o end_n of_o i_o and_o therefore_o why_o shall_v i_o undertake_v it_o give_v i_o that_o which_o will_v do_v i_o good_a let_v i_o see_v how_o it_o tend_v unto_o my_o welfare_n let_v i_o know_v what_o account_n i_o shall_v find_v in_o it_o prove_v that_o
